Looks like fantastic bacon to me, just the way I like it!!! I just put my 28" Blackstone with an attached top together today and will try to get it seasoned tomorrow. I have never used a griddle but Dianne told me on one of her trail rides that someone used a Blackstone to cook breakfast for the camp and it was fantastic. I wasn't too excited at the time but after watching several of your videos I find it hard to wait. Thanks for showing us how to use the griddle. J.R.

Late to this party! BUT! Amy, you rocked it! I was raised by a single father, so if I wanted something more than boiled cabbage with Keilbasa Monday, goulash on Tuesday, Chili on Wednesday and hamburgers on Thursday: I needed to learn to cook (I was 12). (Friday was burger at the local diner. Saturday was fend for yourselves and Sunday after church was the all you can eat buffet at a restaurant. THAT is where I made up for the previous week!). I learned to cook from my baby sitter (she never gave me her recipe for rice pudding with raisins, darn it). I started out with pancakes. She taught me to do the "finger flick" with water to see how it danced to determine the correct temp of the fry pan to test for the correct temp.
These are the comments that keep us going...so true about the past...everyone has one and mine is close....I had to learn at a young age...thanks for sharing

Great job. Funny too lol. Great videos. After research and your videos I purchased the Camp Chef 600. I got it last week. I used it once and going to make breakfast for dinner tonight.
This video is AWESOME - it's perhaps one of the best beginning / learning first cook for griddles out there - and I mean that sincerely - little things like cleaning / scraping along the way - how fast the bacon cooks, etc. is valuable to see from a video - so many "beginning griddle" videos either gloss over these things or omit them entirely. I think if someone with zero experience on a flat top watched this video a couple times they would have very good results/success their first time holding a spatula or tongs. I just started a few weeks ago and I won't lie - I was scared that I would burn everything - for my first cook I did breakfast and even the eggs came out great but I remembered the basics had fun with a serious attitude - to date the only mistake I've made was leaving the rice on too long in my fried rice - we could eat it but it wasn't great - second try it came out fantastic.
