looks a great spot that. Love the look on your sons face when you were talking! But dont worry about whether people find it exciting or not. if you are enjoying it, other people will too.
Interesting point, thank you! I think it was the photographer in me wanting to present viewers with a sunset or sunrise. That said, it was my second wild camp and I am addicted. Thanks again for your continuing influence; I look up to the wild camping gods (mainly yourself, Linleys360, Camplife Bushcraft, Gaziano and Messener!)
Hi Hedley, Well that was good fun not boring at all. I didnt know about the current residents at HMP Princetown, those poor sheep!! The other day I found my Ten Tors Dartmoor map and I had a quick look and can see that we did pass through Great Mis Tor on our way between Roos Tor and Beardown Tor. Perhaps they dont give these maps out these days you get an app or something. Well done for getting out there. Would highly recommend ten Tors to your son. All the best!!
Thanks!! To be fair, I loved it there so much that I really want to go back (though it will be at the expense of going somewhere else in Dartmoor) - that may be the excuse that I need.
At altitude, in the clouds, eh? I reckon that trumps Moussaka in a Ditch (o: Note to Hedley Jr. : don’t try to concentrate on ‘Rythm’ ofthe poles, it’ll all go badly wrong. Guess how I know?
As a committed non-camper, I have long thought that if I were to wild camp - which I never will - I’d do it by some rocks for shelter and useful work surfaces. But since this is not going to happen, it’s neither here tor there. I liked the special thing that takes tents down. Is that available on the Mimo app?
Looked like great fun!. It didn't bore me.. I learned something about Dartmoor.. back in the 80s I was one of those army guys running around Dartmoor.. was too busy to stop and learn things about the place , so my knowledge is sadly lacking.. May I ask what tent your son was using?? It looked like a wild country!!! Can't remember what it was called now. I am sure it had tri in the name... Take care out there.
Thank you so much! The rucksacs the army were using looked terrifying, what a place it must have been for you to train! My tent is the Fjällräven Abisko Lite 1 and my son has the Jack Wolfskin Gossamer 2. Your channel looks fascinating so you have a new follower! Thanks again - Hedley
Love the shoe hack! Never seen that one. And look at that bloody mess you left. Exactly why wild camping on Dartmoor needs to be banned. My good friend Darwall was right. We can't be trusted.

I just finished Villager by Tom Cox so this was very timely.
Ahh! Glad to have been of service!

A very atmospheric and enjoyable vid. Well done guys and thank you Hedley. The Dad's army scene of troops manoeuvring in the haze was fun.

Why the hell didn't TH-cam show me this video before today?
Anyway, great video, as usual. ^^
Thank you! An enjoyable trip!
Enjoyable & humerus video even without the views hedley on the plus side you got another excuse to go there again when the weather is better .

No it's only available to Twitter users with over 10,000 followers. 😜
@@hedleythorne oh that’s a shame - another thing I’m never going to do! 🙄
@@WC21UKProductionsLtd TH-cam has greater super powers than Twitter! You can teleport and get paid for it!
@@hedleythorne don’t get your hopes up about the getting paid part!
Take a look at the Lab599 radio and get you amateur radio licence at foundation level. You'll love it!
Great idea!!
Enjoyed this Hedley thanks for sharing this video, is the tent your using the Hilleberge Enan tent
Hi Gary, thanks. It is the Fjallraven Abisko Lite 1 - very similar to both the Enan and Akto.
Hope you had a great time!! I stay on the path, the Red flag is always flying!! Great video!!
Thank you so much, I loved it! Have a lovely day
