    Amen to that!!!! I told ppl I wanted to buy my house flat cash and thought I was crazy. I started to travel as a Certified Sterile Processing Technician and saved all my money, thanks to my husband, and now I’m ready to go shopping for a $500,000 home to buy flat cash. I will continue to work for my closing cost money and then I for sure will not need a mortgage!!!

    Everyone just a heads up to be careful, friends can turn against you and rob you. If you tell or show your kids, they are too naive and may mention your savings at school or to other family members and that may raise some scheming from others. I personally would either have another "dummy" safe where theres like $2000 in there in case some robbers come asking where its at, or come up with a diff plan. Stay safe.

    Wow this blew my mind. I just started a job where I’m able to get the most money I ever had. I was able to save 5k in a month and I want to stay on that track to get 60j in a year in savings. I survive off 200$ a week and put rest in savings after bills. I tri to do 1k a week but I’m not able to all the time so for the checks I get over the amount I make up for it 😊. I’m so happy I was able to save my first 5k n its only the start. Now I’m going on my third month at the company and I’m loving it!. First month I was not able to save anything due to catching up on previous bills but now it’s going good for me and my family.

    I love seeing motivational videos like these to help me budget more. I have not in a few months, but back on track today. I believe people say negative things, due to them not having what someone has. If they spent their time doing money saving challenges, they wound not have time to write hateful comments. I agree with a commenter. It is good to keep at least $400 at home. We were stationed in Misawa, Japan in 2011 and the earthquake happened. No atms we’re available to take money out, commissary was only accepting cash, and my husband and I were saving and took money out to put into our bank overseas., so we had about 600 at home. We’re in Okinawa, Japan now and we do the same thing. I don’t blame you, I rather deposit at the atm. USAA doesn’t have any atm overseas, so we do Navy Federal.

    Just found your channel and I’m inspired all over again! Last month was the first time I like, legit started budgeting and writing down my finances in a lined notebook instead of just constantly checking my account, after a few expenses that went over what I wanted (I had sinking funds I could pull from to keep me green but never again) I realized that I really need to do cash envelopes to keep me accountable! I bought a cute set from Amazon for $6 and it’s gonna come in a few days. I set up my budget and adjusted based on my expenses last month and I still have money to save and to pay down my loans heavily. So I’m excited to see where I end up a year from now! It’s kinda fun when you get it all balanced and the math ends up mathing lol.✨

      It sucks to be questioned but they have to have a paper trail of money coming in and going out. Federal regulations can cause a bank to have to pay tons of fees if they allow unlawful things to happen with customers accounts. Those penalties can go into the millions, better safe than sorry.

    Cash stuffing is a great way to learn how to save and discipline yourself to stay on a budget. I no longer use the cash stuffing method but I keep my money separated into 4 banking accounts, income, spending, savings, and investing.
    Also, if you want to accelerate your savings you can add 5% or so to whatever you spend.
    For an example, if I buy a cup of coffee for $3 I'll add 5% on top to bring the total to $3.15 then I'll move the $0.15 into my savings account. This method forces you to save because it's incorporated into your spending.

    • @MyFunSizeBudget
      @MyFunSizeBudget  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for stopping by!! I do have a high yield savings that is separate from my normal bank just so it's harder to access my funds and not spend it. I am a natural spender so, lol. I love the idea of putting an extra 5% to whatever I spend. Great idea!! Love the idea of 4 different bank accounts.
      Is it with capital one or another bank

    • @deadcell1
      @deadcell1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MyFunSizeBudget It can be with any bank, personally for me, I use bank of America and I have all my accounts with them (with the exception of my brokerage account) so it's quick and easy to transfer cash between accounts.
      I am a spender as well so what helps me is by treating my savings as an expense. If you are really bad with spending you can just take out the cash you need for the week and leave your cards home.

      Yes i had 6 figure student loans and it kept me up at night so i worked for 23 months with probably less than 10 days off and paid it off during that time. I lived like i was broke and threw every dime at my loans. I cried when i made the last payment. This was in 2014-2016. You definitely can do it. At the time i was married and had 2 kids. All days i worked weren't full days. Sometimes i would just see.a few patients. I worked multiple jobs in home health setting and or prn

    This is very risky as anyone can steal your cash, or it can burn in a fire, you can misplace it etc... best to put it in a HYS account like Ally where you earn 3-4% interest. If you have $100k in savings you will make over $300 a month just to have your money in that account...
