Hey Budget Besties! Hang out with me as I complete my bi-weekly budget. This budget did not give what I thought it was going to give but I worked it out. Thank you in advance for watching and please make sure that you are subscribed to the channel. We are on a mission to hit 17K Budget Besties in the community and I know together we can make it happen 🤗

      Hey there,
I wanted to stop by and say I went back-and-forth with canceling my cable as well. But I chose to cancel it last year and I have not looked back. I get all of my information through my apps and if I need to hear the news then I will think about purchasing the CNN app which I haven't even done that yet. During Covid all I did was watch CNN and that was during the election time so I kinda was burned out from it anyway. Go ahead and cancel it and don't look back my friend! 😊❤❤. Love your content.

We're a one paycheck a month family, when money get tight we live on breakfast food. Eggs, toast milk, pancakes/waffles, and cereal are a way of life for us.

    • @ArcaneLuxian

@jennifer7648 the added benefit is that my husband lives for breakfast and were he given the option it would be about 80% of his diet with steak, and chicken and dumplings. Another trick we learned is look up recipes that predate 1960. We're a farming family and most recipes can feed a family for cheap.

Girl, I feel you. The last 30 days has been a whirlwind. I feel like timing is divine though 🙏
I've come a long way from living paycheck to paycheck, eating peanut butter crackers for dinner when I was broke. Sleeping in my car at one point. Beginning of May I booked a plane ticket for my first real vacation. Got myself hooked up with a nannying gig making extra 600 each month. Then my car pooped itself, 4k I didn't have to fix a beater. Kicking myself for not saving, I got into a car loan and felt pretty anxious about the payments. Right when I did that my work place started being really toxic. I felt targeted and started job searching, now with more options with a more dependable car. I found a new job and gave my notice, and was walked out on the spot. Sh*t had really hit the fan and escalated. I start my new job, with a pay raise and shorter commute, next week. I will get my vacation hours paid out. But in the meantime, I am thankful for this nanny gig, as it is holding me over. Just this week in a few hours I have earned over half my rent 🙏 a week after I got my new car I realized the transmission was slipping. The freaking odds. But this time the warranty department is paying for a new transmission and a rental. My point is, life happens but God will provide. It will be okay.

My story right here !! Sometimes the 3 pay periods a mth ...makes it a bit rougher the following mth. such as upcoming July 23 ..it's a later 1st paycheck on the 14th that hurts my strategy on keeping my budget routine on track & It sucks 😢!! It makes me anxious!! I've been working on my credit for 4 years now, got it almost together..and it's still not that great of a deal when you have fair/good credit but don't have the extra funds/ paychecks coming in to do any borrowing and any extra getting loans to carry you over in certain situations as I mentioned previously!! BUT GOD 🙏👏🙌💯

I’d get a Ring doorbell and get rid of ADT! This is coming from a real estate agent lol. The sales reps for ADT hound on new homeowners and make them feel like it’s a necessity. That’s a lot of money for something you might never use. Ring doorbell or some other safety system that’s similar at least provides some peace of mind. Just a suggestion!

Not that I would wish it upon someone to not have enough for bills and things like that but it's what my husband and I have struggled with for soooooo long and I feel like I don't know how to get out of this hole that is not being able to cover bills/expenses and things like that... it's difficult when you feel like you've already cut out so much!

I am on the same boat. More bills then money. I just started doing hardship programs for the credit cards i have. For example one of my credits minimum payment is around $130 but with the hardship program it is going to be reduced to $99 for 6 months and lower interest too. They will suspend my spending ability but it does help to break my habit of constantly using my credit cards.

New Sub here. I appreciated that your paycheck to paycheck budget was real.
I have followed other budgeting channels, and they’re just not realistic. They have all this money coming in they’re able to pay their bills are able to have all this cash on hand and take all these trips and I came across your channel and I feel you. I was just in the same position the other day after I did my budget by paycheck, Workbook and the amount of bills that had to go out versus what we had left over was barely anything , so I was able to relate. We are a family of five. I am a full-time stay at home mom, my children are young adults and my husband is the sole income so that should tell you something lol.

I've just joined your channel a little while ago. You're very relatable. Realistic. Sometime the bills are more than the money brought in. And then we find a way. I am on the cut the cable team. I'm in Canada but haven't had cable for 5+years. Pluto, tubi are free. Roku has a lot of free stuff as well, and they're not much money. When separating your new bills account can I suggest that only household expenses come out of that and that you keep things like Netflix and other discretionary spending subscriptions linked to your variable spending account? Also, whenever your job offers you a raise I would ask for the additional $20 to cover internet. It’s okay to go to a food pantry to supplement your groceries and toiletries.

I started saving and buying toiletries every 3mo or 6mo, whichever suits my household at the time. I tend to shop lower cost stores for these items because building a savings was crucial to my financial development. Instead of buying lotion, we opt for coconut oil. You mentioned you like perfume. Use the extra money to get current on bills and make extra payments to your debts. Even adding an extra $10-20 a month to these categories helps you reach your goals sooner. You also won't pay as much in fees and interest which saves you money in the long run. You can do it!

I let the kids keep disney + but paid the yearly $100, I hate paying bills monthly so if there is a yearly option I will take it. I cant cut anything else. Get an antenna depending on you're area an antenna can get a lot of channels. I'm in central CA and I get 54 local free over air tv channels. I then have prime and a few streaming services thru prime so it is all in 1 bill. Then I just get a good internet connection and been saving a boat load of cash. Local channels give you local stuff plus. Streaming covers everything else.

I would only have internet and I would set up sinking funds so that you can pay for Hulu and Starz at the lump sum yearly rate. The extra money not going to cable could pay down the sinking fund fast. Once you pay the yearly subscriptions that is about $85 you have freed up

I know no one wants to hear this. Ur maybe some sort of partime work ? Maybe even something you can do from home?? Where there’s a will there’s a way and you know GODS GOT YOU SIS😊😊😊😊🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I cut cable about 7 years ago. Basically, I watch whatever I want through wifi on my tv, phone, or tablet. I have hulu and paramount+ through my T mobile for free, I watch Prime video through my Amazon Prime for a small monthly payment and I have several channels I watch on TH-cam. I got a eero so that I show being hardwired a requirement for my work at home job. This is hooked up through wifi. I search 'Where to Watch....whatever to find where to watch what I want to see. Instead of cable, I just have wifi.

Would agree to cut out the cable and make the sacrifice with streaming services for a bit. I watch a lot of tv as well so I know it’s hard but it’s doable and it can be temporary. Plus, you can password share/swap on certain apps which also helps you save.

Hi new viewer here, in doing the math if you Get rid of the cable and just keep the internet that alone takes off $261 in monthly expenses with the wifi your only paying $24 a month you can watch your apps on your TV, phone etc and roku has free channels etc. So that means you would have $541.31 extra to work with another trick I do and I don't know your household but buying my main things from Sam's club like toilet tissue, dish soap big item supplies that last longer in my house plays a major role.

Hi I’m new here 👋🏾 I did cut cable years ago but this is when a lot of the apps were free or under $5. When I did that my work was moving so slow (remote worker as well) so I had to get the highest internet speed because I do work from home. So I eventually got cable back because I was able to get highest speed internet for $40 while getting a cheaper cable package. So right now my phone, internet, and cable are bundled, however my cable company no longer provides cable to new customers so if I cancel I would lose the bundle special and would have to find a new internet provider. I’m hearing that the internet packages now offer data package here in Michigan. I will have to research and see if I can find a good Internet that provides that right speed without costing me so much. People don’t understand that when you are remote we require a certain type of internet speed to do our jobs. Good video and good job I’m just starting my budgeting journey 😊
