I love the addition of so many different forms of electronic elements. I think Marius brought a lot to the table for this album. If I remember correctly, he did a lot of EDM production before joining Leo in Mirar.
The only thing I wish Ascension had was an ending song similar to the one Mare had. Cauchemar was very different from the other songs and fit great as a closing song. This album seems like it ends suddenly. However, I totally agree that this is a much more cohesive album. I am so excited for them to grow as musicians and refine this unique sound, and see what they come up with next.
After watching the Nik Nocturnal interview, it makes sense why they have the sound they do, considering all they listen to metal-wise is Vildhjarta and HLB. Otherwise they're listening to Classical or Dubstep. I know people ask this all the time, but I wonder how they make the sounds they do on a guitar. I'd really like to see a playthrough video from one of them,.
a police car drove by the end of my street at 7.25 as i'm listening to this and it took me a moment to realise it wasn't in my headphones! love mirar but that doesn't please me as a point of reference!
When you said "I don't know if I can do 49 minutes of this" is how I felt when I first heard it. I felt emotionally drained when it was over 😂. I hope they release each songs individually so I don't have to listen to 49 minutes of it everytime lol
Okay I'm gonna listen to this album cause it seems pretty interesting but I also can't let my self thinking that if guitar evolution are just crazy noises, meh... EDIT: They are French brothers !
Hard pass. Vildhjarta is cool, but this is too far afield to even be called thall. The music itself would be fine, if not for the lead guitar. It just sounds like a kid in guitar center running his hands up and down the b/e strings and thinking it's a solo. But clearly I'm not the target audience, so maybe I'm missing something. Doesn't even sound particularly heavy to me, just randomly discordant.
Meh. To me it sounds like a Mick Gordon track but someone let a toddler play around with sound effects over it. Maybe it will grow on me over time like plenty of other things in metal have, but as of now, I don't get it and it ain't gettin me.
How do you feel about classical dubstep forklift donkey thallcore?
count me in lol
Probably my genre in the next Spotify Wrapped
My new favorite subgenre? 😂
Spotify would have an aneurysm trying to figure out this genre.@PaulvonderHeyden
Not extremely fond of this one. Some are cool others feel forced. But I am always down with experimentation so good for them.
This is the music your brain plays when you're trying to sleep with a high fever.
They're playing 4D chess while everyone else doesn't even know how to play checkers
This, "Mare" and "Ashen" from HLB are the three albums that will sound during the end of the world.

I watched the interview with Nik Nocturnal too. You remember correctly
This is an abTHALLute masterpiece
10:04 This is the most detailed review of this album I've heard so far. Thank you.
This scratched an itch in my ADD brain that I didn't realize i had and I liked it. 😁
This is not just thall, this is pure thallstep. Fantastic album. 10/10
you most definitely have seen the artwork as it was also the artwork for Parkwy Drives "Reverence"
The fact that this was all made with guitar just twists my mind.
Let me get a Darko/Mirar collab in 2025
Oh FUCK YEAH!!😃🤗#darko4life
#eargasme
the album art looks like parkway drive’s “reverence”
That's what I thought too.
album of the year on january first. literally nobody thats slated to come out with a release this year even has potential to top it
Freshened up oldschool Breakcore, some post-apocalyptic Brostep and additional modern guitar effects.
Quite entertaining. 😁
I can't wait for them to come out with some merch. Gotta rock me a Mirar tee.

They use a lot of pitchshiffting + weird tuning on a 8 strings, you have some playtroughts of their riffs on TH-cam
Wow this is sick! I need to add this to my PL def not an everyday listen for me though
Just one of the most unique pieces out there. I have no clue how you would remember how to play this stuff though.

The album is out now on spotify, so you can pick individual tracks now
is the same album art from Parkway Drive?
I need to jam this while playing devil may cry!! ( which I mean that’s kinda a crime since 5 has such a banger soundtrack for the fights)

EDIT: They are French brothers !
It's not about the crazy noises, it's about how you can bend the sound of a guitar to the extreme, also they are using very weird tunings
Like Call of Duty themes but actually terrifying
Static X down a K-hole... Panic chords in a digital blender.. Mixed emotions. 😒
Should be on dune3
bro cut out the entirety of one of the best tracks LMAOOO 😭😭😭
“I don’t know how I can do 49 minutes of this”
This sounds like something from Mechina
"It sounds like a donkey" Why would you say that? Now I can't unhear it 😂
Never been this early to anything
first

That says more about you than it does about the music
Overrated
That's gonna be a no from me dawg
this is just not it... imo
It's fun for exactly... 20 seconds..and than you have heard the whole album
@@user-gu3iehaha so wrong
