the blue ambient interior lights are sick wish I could do that to my truck
Why don’t you? You can do it on any truck or car
Man your truck is badass!!
oh snap someone who lives in the Av. nice work man hope we met up, i have a 2014 chvey Silverado. going to start working on it.
I guess you didn't like your warranty ? And is the whole truck dipped ? Or wrapped and dipped ?
Do you remember what wire you tapped into for the ambient lighting? There's a yellow wire that I know goes to the dash lights that I thought about using Because I want a dim function as well. Thanks bubba
Yes- I sure do. I don’t remember the PIN number on the ECM, but it’s basically the one that controls the in-dash lights/dimmer switch. If you take a multimeter and change the intensity, you should be able to figure out which one it is. Hope this helps. Thanks for checking out the video
Where’d you get the signal for the aqua ambient lights on footwell to have them dim with the lights?
Love the accents (grille, emblem and bumper) in the spray bed liner. How much does something like that cost? I want to do my 2015 Silverado's door handles, mirrors, bumper, wheels, grille, and all of it like that!
This was one of my favorite mods, though also one of the most time consuming ones ... but since I did everything myself, I simply bought sanding paper, primer, and the raptor kit which ended up being only about $150 or so (after coupon codes)
I saw the link for the hood and rear pods, but not the brackets. Where can I find the brackets for those lights
Your truck is SICK!!! But I do have a question. If you don't go off roading, why have a 4x4, and all the off road accessories? Just curious.
+big country I do enjoy trips to the mountains and snow cabin get aways. I also fantasize of hauling a few toys some day. Better have it and not need it right? Lol thanks for checking out the video bro
Saw Part 1 as well. Nice truck. I probably would have omitted the siren, but that's just me (illegal in my state). Again, nice truck.
Thanks for checking out the videos bro. You’re right about the siren- I really only use it for the horn and PA. I have a new one I’ll be installing in the new truck
Great vid, because you seem to like your truck, I have a question for you; I recently got a 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 with 50K miles and it looks brand new!, but after reading costumer reviews online I am freaking out and I don’t know if this is a not reliable truck, coming from a Toyota family I never experienced this type of fear. I like the truck, so far the heating seat was not working and the sliding window was broken when I got it from the dealer.., should I give it the chance or should I explore toyota territory. Thanks for any advice.
Hey brother- thanks for checking out the video. Seems a little odd that you’d be having these kind of issues early on. They all sound electrical too. Do you know if the previous owner had aftermarket parts installed? Is there traces of the panels, trim, molding, etc being removed? The reason I ask is because a lot of guys “tap” into circuits to power after market accessories, and at the time of trade-in, they just rip everything out without regard to shorts or damages to the circuitry. I’ve experienced this before with the 2006 GMC I bought.
Is the truck GM certified?
Regardless- my experience with all my GM trucks is that they’re very well built. I’d start why checking fuses, then trace the wiring to the harness and inspect those too.
Definitely inform the dealership of your findings too. Electrical should be under warranty (if I remember correctly).
Don’t let this deter you from Chevy/GMC- granted- I’ve never driven a Toyota (not would I ever) but that’s just my preference haha
The truck looks, feels, drives and smells new, I recently felt the hard shift a low rpms. I can't see any aftermarkets in the truck and it only has the powertrain warranty til 100K miles or next year.
Jose David Delgado it’s a great reliable truck Im trying to get a 2017 atm but I still have 2014 wt and it is a great truck shouldn’t have any problems with it mainly A/C will give out and that’s the only problem I’ve had with mines
I have that siren install as well on my truck. I'll do a in depth video of all the mods I've done with my rig. I even have that 32 inch curved light bar behind the grille.
+Chubby672 that's pretty sick bro. I'm going to upload a new video of the new truck soon. Not sure where to begin haha
with your LED bar in front hidden behind the grill, do you find it blocks off any of the light or can't see any difference?
Dig it.
Did you install the light bar behind the grille and the two lights under your rear bumper yourself??
+jose muniz yes, sir. Sure did 😁
I want to know what nobody asked about, where'd u get the 3 LEDs above the emblem on grille? TIA!
Those are actually just clearance lights repurposed haha you can find them on Amazon, your choice of color, for like $10. Thanks for checking out the video!
Sicmab thanks!
Where did you get the brackets you forgot to list it also the actuator for the tailgate forgot to list it.?????
Don’t know where you got ultimate from ???
what did you wire your dashcam into? btw love the truck
Thanks for checking out the video, bro. I hardwired the camera using an "add-a-circuit" fuse, to the horn.
You lost me at "I don't go off roading anyway". (1:31). C'mon man.
+Mike Gonzalez lmao I'm sorry bro!! I'll work on getting my balls back soon haha
What website do you get your Mod's from?
How did you the footwell and how did you do the steps?
Where is that wire and what's the color of the wire
+Saud Shabra for the lights in the footwell: the wire I tapped into is from the dimmer switch (for the dash)- I went straight to the ECM. For the steps, I tapped into the cabin lights. If remember correctly, it’s a green wire underneath the door trim.
Where did you get that actuator on the bed door?
+Cris Garcia it hides inside the built in compartment on the tailgate. You just have to remove that top piece. If I remember correctly, it's held on by like 8-12 torx screws. Thanks for checking out the video bro
tutorial on interior ambient lights?
How did you instead the led on the side seat?
Hey brother, sorry I'm just now seeing your comment. I bought LED strips and wired them in series, then simply grounded them and made one connection to the dimmer switch. Hope this helps!
Great video, great truck. I have a white silverado and am looking to black out everything that you did. Any tips?
+Chris Ferree do you know what route you wanna go? Paint, dip, wrap, or bedliner?
I recently used plasti dip on the logos and letters and it looks pretty nice. I'm going to tint the windows and get some new blacked out snowflake wheels. I think it will look pretty dope
did you delete the V4 mode, if you did how?
I did not. However, can’t this be done by tuning it? I really don’t know much about this topic
you can have it tuned. the diesel shop i used to work for did it with EFI live, and could do it
How did you do your taillights!
+Angel Barcenas thanks bro!! The reason I haven't posted more videos is because I actually started a new project. What did you wanna know about the tail lights? They're plastidip'd with glossifier.
What shade black or smoke ? And where did you buy the locking tailgate thing !? That's awesome
+Angel Barcenas I did regular black. And the "pop n lock" can be purchased on amazon or their actually website (I think)
Everything that comes up when I search pop and lock is just for the actual lock in the tailgate handle. I can't find anything about the actuator, but would absolutely love this on my truck. Any more info, or a link to what you used would be appreciated
New ModZ?
All I see is you made the truck off-road ready with lights and everything and 2 mins in you say it doesn't go off-road..
+Ryder lmao sorry bro
Worst fucking cuts in a video
lol oops? sorry, not my day job. Thanks for checking out the video anyway bro.
