I think tsunoda should get more attention for keeping Hamilton for more than 8 laps behind, that was brilliant. Anyways amazing drive and defence from perez
This defense from Checo was fantastic❤️ I know Checo is very reserved as a driver but I hope he becomes more confident and a little aggressive and starts showing his confidence in the car because we all know that the car WILL respond back and take him to the top. And I really want to see that happen.
I know right?! Lewis is such an agressive driver. Forcing Checo into pit entry was uncalled for imho. Lewis has actually caused many incidents the last couple of years, typically when an attack is held off too long he gets a little bit too greedy. Look at Albon last year, or Verstappen at Silverstone. At Imola he got unlucky, but tbh he could have left more space and waited for the next opportunity.
Anyone else feel like Bottas is driving much better now that his future is settled? It occurred to me, after hearing Norris talk about how much stress he felt from not knowing what his future was during his first season, that maybe Bottas’ performance was similarly impacted from not knowing what his future would look like.
I think he mentioned in an interview how because of the small contracts he got from mercedes which were just 1 year he tried to keep the team happy in hopes he would get a longer contract but that never came and he got tired of waiting i guess
That’s the opposite of what Hamilton fans would say? Hamilton gets that same criticism every time he wins. Why on earth, would people who support him use that argument against his teammate. I’m not a Hamilton fans especially, but I’m pretty sure the opposite argument works better. If Bottas won because he is in the best car, why was this his first win of the season, While Lewis has many more (and Verstappen has even more than him)? If anything that would help prove that of the two Mercedes drivers, Hamilton is getting better results.
The truth is , when Bottas can cruise to the victory like that the car is just on another level. We all could see what happened to bottas when the merc cant deliver a 1sec/round boost, he was lost.
The fact that checo managed his tires and letting Lewis get close, staying calm and in control even when pushed out to the pit lane. Shows his more in control of the car.

I say Verstappen this year, Hamilton next year. Red Bull is going all in this year and won’t have any resources left over for next year
I like how clean and professional Perez was. Unlike some other aggressive drivers.
Perez was very clean, unlike Max Crashtappen......
Lewis is pretty aggressive, you're right.
Although HAM took PER to the pitstop it was cleaner than NOR

That Red Bull paint job today was the best thing about the whole race, looked amazing

I agree, the original is better.
Anyone else feel like Bottas is driving much better now that his future is settled? It occurred to me, after hearing Norris talk about how much stress he felt from not knowing what his future was during his first season, that maybe Bottas’ performance was similarly impacted from not knowing what his future would look like.
Ya i noticed aswell almost like he is driving more to win for himself rather than for hamilton now 👍
It is most definitely the case, he has a much more positive outlook than before
bottas started p1 and hamilton p11 if he didnt win that would be embarrassing
I think he mentioned in an interview how because of the small contracts he got from mercedes which were just 1 year he tried to keep the team happy in hopes he would get a longer contract but that never came and he got tired of waiting i guess
I always tell myself Checo was the one that ‘almost’ get no seat in 2021 every time he did something incredibly, glad Redbull signed him! 🥰🥰🥰
Hamilton fans: "He only won because he's in the best car."
Bottas fans: "To whom it may concern..."
That would contradict Hamilton being the goat if mercedes was the best car then
The truth is , when Bottas can cruise to the victory like that the car is just on another level. We all could see what happened to bottas when the merc cant deliver a 1sec/round boost, he was lost.
Not seeing anyone talking about how Yuki holded Lewis for 8 laps!
And yuki messed his tyres up in the process.
Because it would ruin "Lewis da greatest" narrative.
So talk about it, instead of judging others.
