I heard Tafel musik originally described as part of the Granola and Birkenstocks brigade but it transformed to a world class ensemble with much credit to Jeanne Lamon . Anyway I am a huge fan and still follow. I like the new leader also, Elisa Citterio. Long live Tafelmusik . Imaginative, dynamic, historically informed but not burdened!
They love what they do. And who wouldn't if you had this group to work with! Total Professionals! In my opinion, Tafelmusik is the Best Baroque orchestra out there.
