A plot combine harvester is designed for harvesting small seed breeding and experimental fields. Its small size is ideal for research plots and helps to improve research and efficiency.

My father-in-law was in charge of the Agricultural Engineering section at the Swift Current Research Station before he retired. He built a plot harvester for their needs. We stopped there a few years ago and they took out some equipment that he had built. (I was showing my daughter some of the machines that her grandpa had built.) My claim to fame is that I taught school in Swift Current for two years at Central Public School and Oman Public School. By the way, Swift Current has changed quite a bit since living there in 1967.

As a former custom applictor, I ran an RG1300B highflow systems 120' in a lot of terraces in Eastern Nebraska. We goobed a lot of grease on the boom slides and in 3 years no problems but then I left for a different job. I still had the old school joystick with all the section switches on it. We ran so many terraces with no auto height control that I wore out 3 sets of boom tilt switches and one board.

Cool window shopping! We (I) do that over here in Norway as well ;D I didn´t know you had Väderstad seeders that big. Over here, anything built by them would last through at least two world wars, those things are SOLID! They actually test their equipment in a quarry for the endurance tests, running through piles of coarse rocks at 15 kph. I think the ground penetration will be good on these even if they aren´t very heavy - the teeth look really narrow, so they might go down easier than you´d think. It´s a shame they don´t have any bigger tanks though - that seems like the smallest problem in the world to make...

Yes the zürn is a German from 2015 it's made for either seed production or testing new seed. The 300 series fendt is actually old it's been built longer than fendt has been bought by Aco. I think a jd 3140 with a loader would probably do the trick if you put in diesel heater it will start even at minus 20 degrees Celsius except if the diesel is still too cold it will die. It's dead nuts reliable on our, witch has been worked hard because it was our biggest tractor on the farm, had to be done one headgasket a new seat and some hoses and some minur electrical stuff primarily wiring.

About the seed/fert on those Väderstad machines - the front one obviously delivers its load higher than the last, so the first one would be for seed. The two arms seems to be connected as well as the depth gauge roller, so they probably follow in some kind of ratio? Now, it might be an easier pull, thinking of it - instead of putting down fert with those mid-row banders that borgeault uses? Am I just babbling here, or could this be a thing?

My 937H the hood is bolted on crooked. Yours straight? They ride rough. Terrible compared to other brands. Fuel leaks, air leaks, my autoboom is garbage. Recalibrates itself and then the tips either fly all the way up or into the dirt. Boom fold is so fast and violent it destroys stuff. Really needs some refinement.
