We need more Mike Mitchell videos please, some of us are beginning to feel the effects of withdrawal & although we still get the occasional fix it's just not enough Mike. We've even tried other farming channels but they just don't hit the spot, so come on Mike & serve us up the good stuff, you know we're good for it & you always have the best videos!
Nice tractor Mike!
Thanks guys! 🙂
Identical tractors and different tires? Sounds like it's time for an old fashioned TRACTOR PULL!
Sad to see the fendt leave but am super excited about mike having red tractors again 💪💪
case are greatwe have 2 caseih 340 and 145 tractors plus just bought a kubota because kubota and case prices are pretty desent
Wanted to wish you and your family's a Happy and safe Holidays. Like you have said in the past, each piece of equipment has its good and bad quirks. It's what works for your farm. Green, red, or whatever. It's the bottom line, Profits.
Nice looking tractor Mike
Congrats Mike. This is a nice buy
Congratulations 🎉
Thanks for the videos, Mike. You and your family have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, all your workers as well.
verry good explanation mike congrats on the tractors
thanks for spending the time to go into such detail
Congratulations, best of luck on the results. Sincerest wishes for a 4th time is a charm on the harvest.
Beautiful tractor,, good luck with it ,,
Excellent purchase, it will serve you well!
Enjoyed your interview with the tractor
Let’s be honest Mike… you bought the Case because your wife told you you have to. Happy Wife, Happy Life. 😂
Also probably tired of putting fuel and def in the fendt all the time and all the jds breaking down
So are you worried about the loss in horse power. From what you have stated you need more in some cases. Now Tony fast pulls a hundred for drill with a 580, but he did up the horse power. Will you do that or would that void warranty and potential trade in price once the 715 arrives. I would love to know about this if you don't mind.
He did mention on Patreon that the power will be boosted on both machines
Congrats on the new tractor....
When working such a big scale operation....service and supply is essential..
All good.... just wondering if you will demo a new holland cr11.... i know you would do a honest review
And hi from Slovenia
Great video Mike. Have a great Christmas.
Mike, I appreciate ur hard work putting these clips together. Every day I look to see if Mike has put out another one. Keep them coming please. Thanks again. 👍
conrates mike and family
Pumped for the 715! Nice tractor Mike!
I came across your channel because of the Fendt 1167, sad it's gone, but I'm excited to hear what's coming, so I'll certainly keep watching! Keep it up!
sweet rig. Like the tire choice.
Very nice mike u and Ashton enjoy those red iron machines as long as the work gets done and as u said good dealer & service the color is secondary they look good.
Great video Mike
I'm learning so much from Mike as someone who wants to get into the Agriculture world here all the way in South Africa
Congratulations to you on your new tractor. I like it, but I am looking for to seeing the new, new one. There goes Chapel Christmas. 😊😊
Finally Ashtyn's influence showing through.
Mike, happy wife happy life, lol. Nice looking tractor.
Hey Mike. Have you ever thought about putting weather technology floor mats in your equipment? Good stuff!😊
Thanks for letting us know you having a 715 case should put you on top of the list so we see pull the drill up the hill again
Mike like how honest you on your farming practices most farmer's are pretty tight lipped thanks Mike
Sweeeeeet wheels man....... She's a workhorse, she'll lean into field-work, no problemo. I think the numbers the Case will produce will be impressive! Good luck Mike. ATB
What a great tractor! Stay red!!
We stay with quad tracs. They are the best but thst tire tractor is very nice as well. Good buy mike
Hello Mike!
Damn, now that you announced(even tho i saw that coming) the big boy 715,i think i'm gonna have sleepless nights till the day that beast arrives to your yard.
Good looking tractor Mike. The 715 will be good to see when it comes but for now I look forward to your reviews of the 580's. Your reasons / method makes sense, thanks for going over the details so that we all understand what's up.
I'll bet Ayshton (hope I spelled that right) is happy seeing 2 big reds in the family now eh? 😂. I like it though looks beefy!
I always ran Michelin tyres on my tractors yes more expensive but better grip, ride, tyre life and fuel economy so in the long run an all round winner , and nice to see some red in the field.
Going to have to rethink your tractors now since JD. Came out with their new quad track 800 plus horses
Smart move Mike. Put her to work!
great to see another video
Just a shout out to say thank you for sharing your corner of the world and Merry Christmas to every one on the farm.
Man was really hoping to see a versatile or claas but congrats on the new tractor!
That exhaust system is huge. Talk about a visibility block. One thing I like that Claas did on there new Xerion 12 series is hid all that exhaust junk underneath and the pipe comes out the side
Mike watch the wires coming off the gps globe, they get sun baked then the covering comes off and they can short or oxidize and fall apart. A good layer of silicone on the harness is a very good idea.
Good lookin 580 👍
Merry Christmas Mike
Merry Christmas!
And here we used to old you in high esteem 😂😂😂😂😂 Congrats!
Pretty sweet!
Red combine would match it nicely.
Hey Mike. I'd like to see a video on how you install the deere guidance to one of your non deere tractors
Case is beautiful, period.
that is so AWESOME
Mike. Can you please elaborate on the new JD 9830RX?? Pretty please!!!! Love the videos, keep em coming!!!
Mike magnifique vidéo et case 580 et les roues jumelles sont bien 😂😮😅😊
I figured you would be one of the first owners of a new big bud.
Nice tractor
Forget the CaseIH 715 & get hold of a John Deere 830, all the power in the world & no DEF, yes you read that right, NO DEF, beauty!
Good honest video , i bet a JD would be way more expensive
If it is Not read leave it in the shed 🎉😊🖖
You are Right dealer Support is Most important. Don’t have a dealer nearby and you won‘t See this Color in the Field also here in good old Europe. Keep on the good work.
The numbers are heading spinning!
Glad you went with Case, hope you like it.
On the right hand side next to the 1200 monitor is a mount where we put a ram ball and monitor. We really like having them right next to each other. Only complaint we have on the new 580 is it won’t out pull the old 535. But the cab and ride is WAY better
Thanks, are they both stock?
@@mikemitchell2554 yep neither have been touched. The 535 will pull 1 gear faster with any implement with the exact same settings.
Shows how much hp the emissions take away....
@@nefarmer it absolutely does.
@@austinszafranski8548the 535 are about the best tractor steiger ever made. New enough to have all the electronics but old enough to be pre-emission, have two of them.
Omg you bought the good side of the melon finally
you WILL!! have a better year next year Mike
Is there anything more exciting than new tractor day??
You have to do a performance comparison between the different tire combinations on the 580’s. would be interesting to get your opinion on 46” vs 38” wheels.
Now that's a tractor ❤
Big toys for big boys!
Deere and case are the best dealers here as well the 715 will be amazing
I do snow removal at the factory those are made at. They pump those out fast!
nice case
Mike, I think the real selling point for Big Bud, is that it doesn’t have to be serviced by the dealer. Anyone can work on them, and the parts can be ordered or fabricated. Welkers fix their stuff in their shop. Others have a mechanic of choice. I’d bet your dealers could even work on it. But if none of that works for you…you know what works for you.
Welkers fix? If you call them working on something and than it having issues from the stuff they work on “fixing” than yes they fix stuff.
Big Buds aren’t even being built yet.
@kcgibbs yeah they are they've had a couple at farm shows already with more being built. They are not for sale yet but they are open for order I think don't quote me on that
@@cartergoettle7751No they are not being built. The prototypes at farm shows aren’t even close to operational. They have to be winched on and off the trailer
Lol! why would want to wrench on your tractor when its new??? the reason of buying new tractor is for warranty work, cause the moment one of this went down (if you calculate loss revenue while this tractor is down + your time to fix + parts) its a big chunk of money... Like anything in this world. if you didnt buy that equipment on specific dealer ship, you wont get a priority fixing it
Makes sense! 👍
I’ll never go back to tracks. Too many rocks here tracks are like riding a bull 😂. And we’ve been stuck way less with tires. Tires make a mess of field but paddle through tracks you just sit there on top of mud
Same in Alaska About tractors.
If this really was a Game it would be Farming Simulator 24 with the Tax Sign mod. 😂 Get the 715, can't wait to see it work. She's slowly changing the brand makeup 😂. Also you are doing it right, you buy whatever has the dealer you feel has your back, or at least hopefully wouldn't stab you in it.
Case IH Steiger best tractor to farm with. You will love it but I’m almost certain you will want the tracked machine
Dealers use guys like Mike to get more new tractors in circulation we have an operation by use that gets new tractors every three hundred hrs
mike, i remember an older video where you were at a farm machinery show and you were sitting in a versatile and you said you didn't know much about them but would like to demo one. you said in this video your fendt dealer was also a versatile dealer. did you ever get a change to demo a versatile?
I will always be amazed how endless and flat that area is. You can see for miles. That is something you just dont see here in Ontario.
Yes you can’t buy a big bud with no dealer or service area. Makes it hard to get parts. Service is very important. It’s everything
Unless you have to have a JD monitor in the cab to run something, I would highly recommend using the pro1200, especially for guidance. I tried using a JD monitor in an AFS Connect 380 and it was the biggest train wreck ever. You know you can make the pro1200 run JD lines if that is what you are after.
Lol love the vids
Welkers had a 715 quad. It pulled a 50ft Cultivator with packer bar in the ground at a dead idle.
Welkers had a borrowed 715 Demo pulling a 60ft chisel plow.
Tony Fast has a pretty nice set up for his monitors in his quad track.
Enjoy the power hop!
I hope they don't, but I guess time will tell. 🤷🏼♂️
You know as well as I do, play around with the air pressure it will pull smooth.
Nice !!
Mike we all wanted too see a 9rx 640 come on mike
That's very nice, just saying
The best news here is the fact that the dealers have inventory sitting! Hopefully pricing and interest will move back in our favor.
Here in Europe the first small manufactures start filing for bankrupcy.. But I couldn't image the dealers lowering their prices, because energy and primary ressources are still way up!😢
When you have to wait months to get a piece of equipment, pretty much tells you farmers are still buying at these obscene prices.
Why should lower their prices?
Until the buying spree stops things won’t change.
@@davezalinko1354 well you don't have to wait anymore! We bought a new JD6R250. It was delivered after only 5 weeks!😅
Could you do a tour of the John Deere and case dealerships it’s nice to see the equipment they stock spring and fall
John Deere has an 18L and 830 horsepower RX in the pipeline. Hopefully the 715 doesn’t disappoint
Hope they improve that transmission…. ;)
The best way to get good deals on equipment is to trade for a different brand each time, the dealers love trading for the competitors.
I’m sure Larson farms have there case’s talking to the green tractors maps on the Trimble system
Guts are exactly the same as the 620 so pretty easy to boost hp to match or surpass that model. But hearing that a 715 is coming down the pipeline sure is intriguing, tho. 🤔 Case 💪🏼
And let’s be honest, it’s just a much, much nicer looking tractor than any JD product. Looks matter. 😜
Like Aladdin’s lamp. Old for new with a smalle payment
Hi Mike
One thing that you may not know , is that the new one has a financial trick , built into the retail price.
It's called "Overvalue"
It allows the dealership to manipulate the discount that you would have received on the new one.
To give you an example , there is approximately 25% margin added to the dealer net price (DNP).
($800,000 dnp) plus the 25% margin equals 1 million
Most dealers only expect about 15% mark up , which leaves $80,000 in the slush fund (OV) to play around with your trade value or to manipulate the financial transaction.
We here in Australia, call it funny money.
This is why you lose so much value , as soon as you drive it out the door.
Why would a dealer trade it back in for any more, than what they can get a brand new one from the factory.
$200,000 lost as soon as you sign the document.
They sometimes pre-pay the interest on a financial quote to make it look like you are beating the banks on interest rate. It all comes out of the (OV) funny money that you don't realise you are paying.
I appreciate that information, but up here dealers would be lucky to cut out 1 or 2% on new equipment. The money is in parts, service and on used equipment.
They get guys to buy fleet (15+ pieces) and Mother Deere or Papa CNH are the ones giving the farmer the discounts. (they are the ones making the money)
Then the farmer trades it back after 1 season (500hrs) to the dealer (for another new one) who now buys it on trade to sell used to the next farmer for cheaper still. The first farmer is getting the manufacturer to pay his depreciation and then dealer is still buying it back cheap enough to resell it at fair market value and make more money then if they just sold it new to the 2nd farmer. And we haven't even touched the ice berg of how this type of thing works. 😆
Your good Canadian made NovAtel GNSS receiver on your roof performs so much better than the Deere globe.
That exhaust is an obstructed view to the left
