- I've been doing pretty well with Fire Stingray in King League, definitely want to play more with this ship in the other cups.

Death Wind II felt like a strategic victory - KO'ing those bumpers gave you the extra energy in the remaining races to push for and maintain 1st once you got it. Well done.
Yeah that Falcon in DW II is a gamer - smoked all of you, but you got the KO's and they blew up in Port Town. Would have liked to seen what would have happened had they still been in it to the end of the league.
@@afgcinc7206 Yeah, Speedlund is also crazy good. I've been in a few Pro and GP races with them and they're almost always 1+ seconds ahead of the rest of us. If I saw Mengsk AND Speedlund in my lobby, I think I'd cry

Avoiding red bumpers on Fire Field lap 4 feels almost impossible. That's some really heckin' good piloting!

This is what F-Zero was always meant to be but never had the technology to actually exist as.
F-Zero 99 is peak F-Zero, in my opinion. Your piloting is second to none, Mengsk. I can see how quickly you took off and opened up the lead once you clinched first in Fire Field; that's my preferred style of play as well, and it is a very good feeling when the rivals disappear from your rear-view.
I imagine Jim and Kerrigan are plenty upset with you. 😆

Wow! What a race! Great. I was still a little sad when your biggest competitor Speedlund was disqualified. This would have been a little more exciting if he had stuck with it. But that's the way the game is.
@ 5:36 notice how driving over renaldinho's wreckage slows down your boost, you lose about 30 km/h and you instantly go down below your Fire Singray's max top speed... that's the penalty for driving over roadkill stains.

i feel like he was already losing the boost speed, and only went below because he let go of B to prepare for the turn ahead
@@MrRubixscube Science is better than your feelings. "Feelings" don't help much. Simply confirm it in-game, it's easy to test. You lose a little speed.

Hey mengsk, i don't really like helping you since it will make it harder to beat you, but I've noticed you don't use the skyway in port town optimally. You can use it at the start of the last magnet, not at the end, and you will be able to make it the same distance and take the turn tighter so it will also be faster
I've been going extra deep just to make sure it makes it but I'll try to launch it sooner
There's a new f-zero game? What? Granted it's a battle royale and stuff but still...it was the first game i played back when i was young so nostalgia hits hard. How unfortunate because i don't have a switch and don't intend on buying one so soon, but still interesting. Good racing.

Does the Stingray’s high top speed let you run boostless over the striped gravel on Mute City, or can all cars do that?
Stingray loses speed much slower and less over the gravel, fox is like instant. On MC1 & MC3 you can easily just drive over that section and get backbumps and not have to boost with Stingray.

@@MengskGX i recently saw a gameplay on this game and it seems it can go beyond 5 KOs. The energy bar can become longer than what you gained here

You took sunderland as a rival threat? After death wind, you specifically looked for him in the race results and the only one compared to the other rivals in the other tracks. I took it he was your biggest race threat to make you run harder.

I always suffer during King League Grand Prix because I keep crashing out in either Port Town II or Red Canyon II.
King is tough all around.

Watching this video showed me how hard that final lap is for the leader. They throw so many explosive ships at you!
(I never would have known. I'm not skilled enough to hold a lead for more than a few seconds)
Is the stingray the new meta?
I try to play with all the ships to keep it interesting, I still need to improve a lot with Stingray so its fun to work on getting better.
