i studied from this video alone. apparently, the form of attacking are the gray bricks sent up from the bottom. there’s a warning sign at the bottom leading to one of the players, and i assume that when that player clears a line(s) they get sent to you in the form of those gray bricks. they function just like normal tetriminos except they’re gray and come from the bottom. that green target that bounces around is who *you* are sending your cleared line(s) to, and they will receive that line(s) via gray bricks. if they fill all the way up to your screen and you can’t place more without going off the grid, you lose, which is heard by the robotic “Game Over” sound.
It is a very popular old orchestral piece known as "Flight of the Bumblebee." I can just about guarantee you've heard before, just not with synthesizers.

He had the precision and timing of an absolute god, people call games like fortnite and all the other battle royale games a test of skill, and that them streamers like ninja are pro gamers. This legend here probably has 3 times the coordination, willpower and strategic intelligence than any of them, along with all the other pro Tetris players... can’t believe I said this about Tetris lol Also #plantgang

You know how when you watch a movie and the main character gets into a sticky situation, but you never get stressed because you know they can't die? I knew you were gonna win the match but I still got stressed.
This is really inspiring because you made a couple mistakes but STILL got first place. Remember kids, even heroes aren't perfect. You, too, can be a Tetris god.

I think what makes Tetris 99 so anxiety inducing(besides the music),is that anyone can target you. No alliances or deals can be made,only pure BATTLE ROYAL-Tetris style. Also,it's Tetris,that freaks anyone out
Can't remember it exactly but I stumbled onto a glitch at that point where you could get cortex stuck at the first checkpoint and carry on with the course as slow as you'd like, then come back and let him run the whole thing.
If you use attackers though that's actually fairly beneficial if you're good at the game, since theres the chance that you'll get some early KO's, doing that you'll have some insurance going into the midgame
How did we go from a handheld, casual, 2-d time-waister... To stacking block people in a top-down, red-on-black, nausea inducing nightmare... To a 99-player, controller-breaking, online war-zone where people are literally firing clusters of blocks at one another from every direction in pursuit of coming in at 1st place? I’ll bet that with the evolutionary line that this series has going on, pretty soon we’re gonna get a full-on movie...oh wait...

I only did it once, but that was because not many players targeted me closer to the end of the game.
I made it to 6 and I Still didnt know about the instant drop in the game and i made no tetrises i made mostly singles
