The pistol from Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon gives me hope that Ubi hasn't forgotten one of the coolest spin-offs of Far Cry

They very much have not forgotten, they reference it in just about every game they made after blood dragon
PSA Again: There is weapon recoil in the game, for both his videos the camera shake setting is set to minimal so there is no camera shake and recoil magnitude. If you turn it on there is quite a bit of recoil on all weapons and it feels pretty good.

4 tried to make it more realistic. 6 is way more unrealistic with all the supremos and healing animations, but it's great for it. And that punk rock bloodthirsty invincible chicken is just amazing. It's nice to see developers not taking realism too seriously, creativity is always welcome.

I love how some of these weapons are brimming with personality. The way they look tells a story, what their previous owner was like, or where they've been.
And some Just look fancy and/or fitting for the situation at hand.
The Heroic end looks beautiful! I have no idea how the paint stayed on the barrel with how hot it could get and have sparks and flashes, but hot damn is that a gun i'd buy if i had the money

The reload animation for the M32 MGL is amazing. True to life and puts Treyarch's revolver animations to shame (only making that comparison because both the M32 MGL and .44 Magnum are revolving weapons)
That's an odd comparison seeing how 3arch usually hide the weapon off screen for the reload unless you're talking about World at War
@@JingMitsuyamaCH no I'm talking about 3arch games that reload revolvers without using a speedloader (the one .357 magnum in WaW uses a speedloader). So black ops 1's Python without the speedloader attachment, the executioner from bo2, the mozu from bo4 and the magnum from cold war. As you said, for these weapons they just hide them off screen and with increased FoV, the character doesn't even insert any real cartridges into the cylinder, they just magically appear when the "loading" is complete. Here in Far Cry 6, they actually show the character loading the rounds into the M32 MGL.
Hell even the War Machine from bo2 has it's animation hidden off screen

Not to say theres anything wrong with reusing assets, but my only grip with seeing this game is half the weapons were from 5. I know theres a lot of new ones and they have changed up some that were older, I think it just seems like it's the same thing. I mean, they're not bad. I guess I feel like I've seen this game already from past entries. Hopefully I'm wrong.
@@hoppinggnomethe4154 I guess that's what I feel. I guess Halo can be a good comparison. The Assault Rifle was sometimes similar and other times different in terms of how good it was and cosmetically. The guns I see in Far Cry 6 are literally the same with minor tweaks.

I’ve also used that gun as my primary several times due to it doing more damage than any other rifle or smg

"La americana" an lmg with poisoned rounds and it's an m60 nv, 100 rounds poisoned belt, it's unique!, and you can win and own it by completing the mission in lola's "special operations", and which one is that among the others you may ask me/yourself?, well, you can obtain/win/own it by going and completing the insurgency by defeating/killing every fnd soldier, along with the insurgency leader, destroy their anti-aircraft cannons by blowing them up, re-take possession of the outposts and checkpoints, once you begin, make sure FIRST, that EVERY SINGLE alarm system is destroyed, if there's a control panel, destroy that, and THE WHOLE alarm system crashes in instant shotdown, after that destroy the castillo sign of "peace" by burning it (even a molotov is enough), kill the the rest of the fnd insurgency soldiers, along with their outposts, and bum!!, the insurgency is over, and the light machine gun m60 with poisoned rounds called "la americana" is your to own!! Once you own it, Be advised!! DO NOT USE IT AGAINST: allies, especially ,NOT to civilians, 'cause they would die by just a single shot! Use against pyro-soldiers, (works better with a pistol rank 4) or special forces if you ran out of cool, ammo and life. The effects of the gun lasts on non-armored soldiers 1:30 sec. On the special forces, 50 sec i guess..., once effect stars, the poison will infect their minds, making them believe and see: civilians, animals, and their own allies as something that drives them insane to non-stopping until EVERYONE is dead, disarmed/armed, it doesn't give a xxxx of WHO IT IS, if the subject if hit by this type of ammo, all of what I just said will happen, unless there are: NO CIVILIANS OR ALLIES AROUND

The unique guns kind of felt underwhelming, only thing they had going was their unique skins, but being unable to change most of their attachments and bullet types made them inferior to just customizing your own piece.
Would've been nicer if each of the guns would've had something truly unique going on with them how they operated, or that their exterior modelling would've been something far more unique, like how they did with the mosin nagant, kobracon, El regalo and the AJM 9.
like the piratecave treasurehunt gun could've been an actual flintlock pistol like the story hinted at, and not just a golden engraved vietnam grenade launcher.
But seems like they opted out to save the more unique weapons as paid expansion content,
Yeah i agree all i ended up using the uniques for was styles for the normal gun. but a weapon like a flintlock or a shotgun that shoots mini grenades could only be available as a unique

Say what you say about Ubisoft but they never forget the 2 guns that got games more not to mention I think Robocop would be proud that his 2 weapons got mention and show off in the besides that's been long over due after other far cry games show it point that tells you Ubisoft never forgets to pay tribute to old school and to favorite people like solid snake awesome video 👍

Which is annoying! I understand the makeshift ones overheating quickly, because they aren't well made as others. But why do the regular suppressors, particularly the American and Russian suppressors, overheat so damn quick? Not to mention, catching on fire as if you were shooting a weapon with 1200 RPM...But i'm using a fucking pistol! Come oooooon.

There's mechanics in the game set for you to upgrade them and even add mods to reduce overheating. Its not realistic but its just a video game so its fine.
7:07, the way the gun is held on the front-end is just giving me an aneurysm.
One thing about Far Cry games, you know how you can see the ammo belt get completely fed into the LMGs I love that! But!!! If you look at each round the primer has already been struck... which means that round would not fire off!!! An that’s no light primer strike that’s a good dent on ever single primer.. I know they wanna have a bunch of detail in the games.. but use those assets somewhere else!!! Btw for people not knowing much about guns the primer is the little circle at the end of the brass shell. Just look up how rifle rounds work.. you’ll learn ya somethin!

Blood drunk is basically Jacob Seed's pistol, change my mind.
It’s not really it’s a different type of gun just by the looks and the calibre of it has and throughout the slide as well so it’s not Jacob seeds pistol
And it has flame rounds and plus if you look at the barrel on the front you can tell it’s not with the actual slide because it’s on front of the fucking barrel if you know what I mean and plus Jacob said does not have a pistol like that because at the ending of the game he doesn’t use that type of pistol on farcry 5 because the reason why he doesn’t use that type a pistol is because he was arrested at the ending of the game if you pick the nuke ending
@@fem298 I know he doesn't have a pistol but if you take a closer look on his weapon (during map editor, I forgot to say that), the grip is white, while the barrel is red (probably on the cult's colors). That's why I said it looks like Jacob's pistol

@@tranterminus oh I was probably mistaken I did have the pistol throughout one of two of the thirds of the game throughout the mission which I wasn’t doing a mission but it was 2/3 of 1/ third of the game probably like 20% or something like that maybe even 30% on the game that I had and I didn’t see the the grip or the colour of it I just looked at saying all that’s a cool pistol and yeah I just started using it

These babies are the coolest lookin firearms i have ever seen in any game.
im sad they didnt include the classic far cry signature weapons like the bushman/shadow/cannon/bull from far cry 3/4 but im happy they kept the AJM-9 at least. Shows the fact that ubi still keeps their older fc weapons in their new releases and i love it :D

The little issue i have with the unique skins is that they aint exactly unique. If you look at the weapons skins you can buy with spray cans the exact same skin but different colour and some times theres barely a visible difference. Would of been nice to see different animations or sounds depending on the theme of the weapon for example the zona 51 rifle, have arcade sound effects and a live ammo counter where the screen is with the hearts are.

The suppressor melting is supposed to solve the fact that suppressors in FC5 were so cheap and lasted forever, they made the game extremely easy.

theres an accessibility menu option to turn it on/off
It does but both his videos have had the minimal camera shake setting enabled so it removes vertical recoil magnitude and camera shake.

the fact that the suppressors over heat and cause your gun to go un-suppressed means your suppressor exploded tbh hate this fucking factor in the game cause the whole purpose of a suppressor is to suppress your guns muzzle flash and sound suppression they do over heat but if they exploded "go un-suppressed" that means your guns broken too

I haven’t played this game yet but I hope there’s more to these uniques than a custom paint job. Outside the obvious ones they don’t look very special.
