And when the clock struck 11, *all* the Twin Timber reviews hit TH-cam lol Looks like a great evolution to the Timber, all of which are amazing. I've been hoping to see a twin motor Apprentice, as the size is _just right,_ but this will do nicely. Especially on floats!
Yup, I figured. I have the Timber X , the Timber Evo, can you guess which one is next ? That landing gear, FINALLY, they fixed that design !! Good test flight, way over my skill level.
Thanks for the demonstration; any landing is obviously a good landing as long as the runway is intact. That model is likely to survive even my more creative arrivals. Already ordered.
You want to check the balance and overall maneuverability of a plane , HAMMERHEAD. You made it look so easy . Beautiful flight an plane. Gods speed 🙏 🛩🏆👏
The flat spin is a post stall maneuver, you gotta stall it first then try the flat spin. I prefer stalling in a vertical climb then flat spinning from there.
Edit: just noticed the price! Much better then the $500 kits I've been seeing. Eflite would be great if their price was cut by about 50%. I could understand if the stuff was 100% built in US but it's not.
Hi there and good morning would like to know if you would consider doing videos of putting the planes together and also the programming the transmitter as. I personally pretty much fly like you do. But I am still new at the RC World , thank you very much.
One can say now there is a Timberline...LOL! Twin engine planes are really interesting, especially when they have differential thrust set up. The landing gear set up is similar to that used by many planes used by bush pilot or STOL I wonder if they will be releasing floats for it...
Just got back into rc planes after switching to drones 8 years ago, alot has changed but now that I have my feet wet I want a 2nd plane, which do your prefer this twin timber or timber evolution? Ill be doing mild aerobatics and will be flying 90% of the time off grass fields that aren't 100% smooth. now that this released it has made the decision hard lol
I would agree with Stan (that, "now it's Abby's turn") except that she is the better videographer. If Nate promises to keep the Twin Timber in frame then Abby should take a turn.
Nate, that's not a split flap. A split flap is a flap that deflects from the lower surface of the wing. Common on warbirds. Going up it's more of a speed brake on an airliner.
How good is the vertical on this one? The only problem is the only place close for me to fly at is a baseball field, but if I get up high enough I have endless space.
Just when I thought I was done buying planes for a wile. Way to make a liar out of me. I want one. I love wing overs then put 2 motors on it and BAM! you have my $$.
Who else is thinking about putting a y-splitter on the esc lead and second battery on the Turbo Timber Evo and adding these wings for Triple Turbo Timber? 🤔🔥
Remove the foam part that is at the end of the motor, move the ESC to the front and glue it to the bottom or sides, also zip-tied the motor cables to the sides to improve airflow.problem solved🤓
I have the single engined Timber Evolution and I challenge the assessment of the undercarriage. I don't land heavily, but I've had to replace the whole undercarriage once and one of the springs once. The undercarriage is nowhere near as substantial as claimed.
Have you flown it on 3S? I’ve got several 3S 3200’s for my Beech 18 and was hoping they’d work well in this one. Mostly into scale flying so nothing crazy
I have a Quick question? I have experience flying drones but as for a first plane what would you guys recommend between the "arrows 1300mm bigfoot" or the "carbon cub s2? They are both at a 299$ price point.
The carbon cub is awesome and the controller is pretty darned good for a bind in fly. It's 7 channels. You can bind to a lot of Spektrum HH air planes. When you add flaps to the Cub the radio/controller will work too! The cub is almost indestructible. The prop doesn't break it bends! This is tough little bastard and it fits in a lot of cars
@@HciContractor awesome yeah I was leaning more towards the carbon cub because it is also really nice looking aircraft👌 seems like a plane to hone some decent skills before going to more advanced setups ....I figured the spektrum controller would open the options to getting some bind and fly versions that use spektrum to save a few bucks they are cheaper that way.
@@HciContractor I see alot of the e-flight also useing spektrum dsmx tech receivers ...the e-flight f15 64mm edf jet with safe also looks nice for the price
Get yourself a NX6 or NX8 and an Eflite Valiant. The cub only does cub things with virtually no room to grow and the radio that comes with it is sub par at best. They used to come with a DXe which was pretty much only good for that plane because it has no LCD screen. Yes it will bind with other Spectrum receivers, but you will find it difficult at best to program for other things, especially if you have flaps and retracts. Get yourself a good radio to start and it will be far less headaches.
HELP. Hello you guys are my favorite RC channel. But alas my favorite plane the aro scout flew away today and never came back. I bought it several years ago on your recommendation and never had a need to buy another plane.. I'm 75 years old and go flying on my electric bicycle so the aeroscout was the perfect plane for me since it can be broken down and put together so fast. I kept it in the original box and stick it vertically in my side rear basket and put it together at the soccer field. The thick forest along side the field has swallowed several drones, a glider and now the scout. I want my next plane to have pontoons so I can fly it off my boat free from the forest of trees. Since I have the radio and batteries I wanted to get the turbo timber evolution that comes with floats. Since the 6 channel areo scout did not have flaps, can I fly the timber and just not use the flaps, or manually position the flaps partially down and fly it with the flaps partially down? I was also thinking of getting a Pitts S-1S. red biplane without flaps and bind it to the areo scout transmitter.,will that work? You guys should have an hour hobby show on a cable network, featuring cars, boats planes and jets. With segments on operating lessons, tech talk, safety and such. Cable companies wake up, you have a ready made hobby show with two of the best hosts you will ever find with both knowledge, ability and charm. You've out grown TH-cam guys, and deserve a wider audience! Good luck......
This is an extremely nice comment! Thank you! Ok, so first of all, you CAN use your Aeroscout transmitter for many other airplanes, but you’d have to rebind it every time you switch aircraft. This could be a little exhausting, and annoying as your planes may need retrimmed each time you switch. Plan on that. But it’s a great radio to bind up to another plane like the UMX Pitts! If you want a water plane however, I HIGHLY recommend the Twin Otter. Happy to continue helping however I can, just post a new comment rather than replying here. It’s hard for me to find “replies” and easier to see new comments. If I’m helping at all, please consider ordering your stuff using our links 😁 Thank you, and hope this helps!! 👍⚓️
Have you ever had an eagle. Go after one of your plans. I was out flying my drone when an eagle dove at mine twice. But I was able to move away from them. 😊
Under $400 for this large of an airplane with two motors seems pretty fair, especially if you are buying the BNF version through our link. You get a lot of points on your preorder, which equates to spendable dollars on a future order. Happy Flying! 👍😁😎⚓️
Definitely looks like a very nice plan and is very tempting. AWESOME MAIDEN on a REALLY COOL plane!! Nice drone chasing!! Thanks Saylors for another HONESTLY entertaining review!! 💟👍😘
Seeing you practice on camera is an awesome way of seeing how you can try new tricks and be confident and have fun too
Nat's laugh (cackle?) kills me! Nice plane, nice flight. Uber brave in the wind. Have a Blessed day.
I watch a lot of rc videos. Your photography, photographer, is by far the BEST. Great maiden too!
Eflite are going to bankrupt me this year 😂
A very good Thursday evening to you all from Wellington Somerset in the UK 🇬🇧
Thanks for all your knowledge. You got me back flying after taking 20 years off to raise a family.
Most Wanted RC - I own an older "blue" Turbo Timber and it goes without saying - SO AMAZING TO FLY! A must for any collection!

Should we have a contest on what they'll try next with the Timber airframe? Twin EDF, maybe?
With floats, this Twin Timber will be a BEAST!!! 👍

Haha, thanks!! 👍😁😎⚓️
That was a pretty cool landing. I saw this and thought it was a different Twin Otter you gotten.
Like the sound of the twin Sure is great designing so the props never touch the ground.

you can program differential thrust with any twin

Looks like someone bought two timbers and glued the parts together, but it looks very cool
Maybe you could build a tri-moter timber.
I would honestly have a blast with that! Lol 😂😅👍😎⚓️
I could’ve used those landing gear when I first started out 😂
Where do you get spare parts for the train star mini? I can’t find them anywhere
What about the floats?
Hell yeah
2 motors = double good Maiden. If you want to flat spin Nate, Abby can teach you. She nailed it yesterday. 😏😏😉😉. Now it's your turn Abby. ⚓⚓👍💚💜💛👍😏😉👍.
I’ll bet they have a CAD file of an EDF Timber in their Data Base.
Lol, I’ve heard this a few times today. I wouldn’t be surprised!! 😂😅👍😁⚓️

I like it but it needs a trap door to drop parachute men out of. I’m gonna wait for the:
🎉 “Turbo Twin Timber Evolution Paratrooper X”🎉
Nice Video
I guess I need another timber now 😂
It could only be better if they put a motor in the front of the fuselage! Nice !
How long are the batteries lasting?
We demonstrated a full flight from start to finish in this video 👍😁😎⚓️
That bird looks like a ton of fun! 👍🏻👍🏻
It is! Today was a great day! Hope you are gearing up for an amazing weekend 👍😁😎⚓️
Will the Twin Timber bind with the DX9?
Have they solved the issue the Timber Evolution has with overheating ESC? That is the major weakness of the Timber Evolution.
Remove the foam part that is at the end of the motor, move the ESC to the front and glue it to the bottom or sides, also zip-tied the motor cables to the sides to improve airflow.problem solved🤓
Nope… mine overheated on day 1 and turned into a lawn dart. They are aware of the issue and should release a fix soon.
Late squad today happy flying all 😎😎😎😎⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️🛩🛩🛩🛩
