"You can fit like 12 candy bars in there." - needed to be used to measure cargo capacity for all things moving forward! haha. Awesome video as always! Can't wait to see the ways everyone uses the cargo compartment.
You are a lucky man to have a wife that completely supports your hobby (job) You both seem to truly enjoy each others company. I am happy for both of you and just wanted to say good luck and best wishes.
Omg I don't care what people say if it's boring or just a different paint scheme I love the look of it! I haven't bought a new plane in awhile this might have to be it
Another great maiden flight! That manouver where you opened the rear cargo door while doing a touch and go is an actual maneuver that is used by many airforces around the world. It is called a low-altitude parachute-extraction system (LAPES) / Low-level parachute extraction resupply system (LOLEX). They either touch and go, or skip the ground on ground-effect, and deploy a parachute that yanks the cargo out of the plane and onto the the ground. It's an amazing feat of flying that is worth digging up some videos of on TH-cam.
Having worked on airlifters in the USAF (many years ago), the low ground clearance is prototypical. The C-141 Starlifter, the USAF's primary jet cargo plane before the C-17, was low enough to the ground that an average sized person could not sit upright on the ground beneath it. The reason for this was ease of loading and unloading the aircraft. Horizon's promo video shows the model being operated off of grass. It'll be interesting to see whether reviewers have the same success with that.
Ive flown into combat a couple times on a C-130 a CH-47 and multiple times on UH-60s, those C-130s drop in and take off in ways that feel unnatural lol pretty cool stuff.
My Goodness they brought it back!!!!! I looked and looked the Orange and White Cost Guard looking one and finally found one I had to fix. I am definitely going to get one of these
The little hood on the top of the main hood gives you the option to mount a FPV camera. It was available on the first EC1500 model as well. I love the plane and how it flies but it is way too tail heavy while flying with 3S batteries so watch out for the correct trim 😅
Very cool! I could be wrong, but I really do think it helps kick a little extra air through there too, to knock out the cargo! Might just be my imagination though 😅⚓️
Very nice plane, fantastically maneuverable for such a stout body. I'm guessing the Xtra blades give it a bit more giddy up & go. Doesn't look like you had open parachutes. Maybe cloth or not wrapped up, but open & ready. You definitely have to do a drop & go with a good parachute & vehicle. For a showy visual drop you could get a bay full of dandelions that would look like parachutes slowly descending. Would have to be a close flyby to account for drift. OR a bay full of grass fluttering all around down to ground. Keeping green & environmentally friendly. Great flying Nate old chap. Superbly Superior Satisfying Videoing Abby. ⚓️⚓️👍🧡💛💚👍⚓️⚓️.
Thats an amazing plane! I love the cargo door. But like you said, maybe a little iffy on grass. Grass on our field is really short, so.....maybe. Great flight!
Thanks! It’s hard to do with such young kiddos, but we try. If we had more time we could do so much more with our videos. I appreciate the kind words though 👍😁😎⚓️
love all your vids. you guys are so cute together . her giggling in the background is priceless lol. amazing pilot as usual guys . love it . smiling from ear to ear watching this plane!!!
Love my Nemo version. I fly it off longish soccer grass. The longer the grass the longer the roll out. Stops in about 10 feet in the long grass when landing.
For those that were curious I think the top mount is listed as: Separate FPV camera mounting position on top of the extremely large, magnetically secured top hatch (FPV camera/gear sold separately). I've never flown anything FPV or with camera so I am interested on if that works.
Not for nothing, but the gear on the C-17 Globemaster look very similar to that RC. And the C-17 can operate from unimproved surfaces (in a pinch). Also, a 1/24 crawler being dropped off running out the back on a touch-and-go would be a cool video. You'd need a third person for the camera. But it would be cool. :)
I'm gonna have to learn to fly these things. Got a cheap one I've never put together, so it's not gonna fly as good as these latest models you've shown, but at least it will get my feet wet, so to speak. A fan of the P51, of course, and the Draco. Not sure where I would put any large planes, my shop is full of rc race cars!
The “Mansfield” sticker on the tail was actually the tail flash for the Ohio Air National Guard’s C-130s before they lost their flying mission to become a cyberspace wing. The unit is located in Mansfield, Ohio. Even though this looks like a mix between a C-27 and a C-130, I’m fairly certain it was supposed to look more like a 130 lol.
If they had their own servo, yes. Or you could just make the inside flap surface pair with the middle section and make them all function as Flaperons 👍😁😎⚓️
Amazing video Iam disable I wish I can have some one show me how to fly one of these one day. I operate surface Rc vehicles and boats with one hand all hobby grade very fast Rc vehicles
This is my second ti,e watching this video and its giving my some great ideas. I work and fly on a golf course so naturally I want something I can use to drop golf balls over greens trying to make it in the hole. Im thinking that RC cars could serve as putters.
Love these clips about model aircraft (they sure as heck aren't toys!) with the lettering "HUGE!" in the thumbnail when the wingspan is less than 8 foot when ready for flight. There are model aircraft out there that are so big they almost need a flight plan if they plan on flying over a certain height.
We own and have owned hundreds of airplanes. This one is in fact HUGE compared to MOST airplanes out there. I believe it is a relative term. So, for all the planes I own, it is in fact, HUGE! While my 46% Ultimate is a Gigantic airplane. I dunno, words make people mad these days.
Will 5,000mah 3S 100C harcase lipos work? Asking because I don't have any 4s but I do have some large 3s from my Arrma RC truck. It's just they are hardcase and not softcase.
Love the in-flight footage and especially the under-wing and in-fuselage vids (what happened to that camera?). Been telling you several times to get something like a Go2 to get in-flight footage, especially with big planes like this. Ohh, nice plane btw ;-)
Do u think that part on top of the cockpit that u thought was to let air pass through is maybe to put an off/on switch so u don't have to take the whole front off? Im just curious

Hello from fort sill Oklahoma, I’ve been wanting to start a new hobby and thanks to your channel I’ve been hooked on these RC planes.
Thank you for the nice airshow. I thought I was at the Thunderbirds or the blue angels airshow waiting for the blue angels to arrive.
Beautiful military details , lets have a second flight with a dozen paratroopers 😬 God's best 🛩🙏😇❤🤍💙
My Goodness they brought it back!!!!! I looked and looked the Orange and White Cost Guard looking one and finally found one I had to fix. I am definitely going to get one of these
You 2 are awesome! Great review and so inspired to look into it as I get back into RC planes after 15 years. Thank you both

Would the strong magnet mess with the FPV gear?
Just realized a major difference to the former EC1500: The new one has no removable nose to mount a GoPro 🤔
@@TheRcSaylors I tried it with an ugly, cheap FPV camerad and it perfomed as usual.
Really awesome aircraft, great commentary and filming, good flying too, will have to put this on the wish list!
That was funny with a sweet delivery. Certainly a great flyer. Love the size, was surprised how you could throw her around the sky. 🫡
The notch in front on top is meant for a camera mount just an FYI. Love you two together keep up the great videos.
Very cool! I could be wrong, but I really do think it helps kick a little extra air through there too, to knock out the cargo! Might just be my imagination though 😅⚓️
They finally brought it back! I've been looking for one of these for months!
the little thing at the top is for an fpv camera btw
I like this look and decal better.

I definitely prefer the orange of the previous version for visibility. But I cannot deny that the upgraded tech on this one looks like a ton of fun!
Thats an amazing plane! I love the cargo door. But like you said, maybe a little iffy on grass. Grass on our field is really short, so.....maybe. Great flight!

Wow! Game changer! That plane is sick!
Absolutely luv this bird… I think it’z my favorite one of all that I’ve seen you fly…
Love my Nemo version. I fly it off longish soccer grass. The longer the grass the longer the roll out. Stops in about 10 feet in the long grass when landing.
Great flying Nate 😊
Nice outtakes. 😂
Why is no one else really talking about the outtakes!?! Haha, thank you! 👍😁😎⚓️😂
Hey Nate I'm going to fly my aeroscout 👍 I took the Concendo Evo the other day.. Before have not flown in years 🎉
Late squad today that is one sweet plane ✈️ especially it drops off my favorite chocolate 🍫 😊😊😊😊😊 happy flying all 😎😎😎😎⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️
That was a sweet drop off
Abby and Nate y'all rock! Love the channel and content! Peace
Thank you!! Did you change your channel name? 🤔
Electric motor twin sounds cool. On a glow engined twin, the second engine is there to carry you to the scene of the crash. Looks like a fun plane.
HAHA ✅️
🤣😂
The hole in the front is for à cam
This is so sweet!!! 🔥🔥
That’s awesome great video guys 👍
Sweet, you could drop glow sticks out the back on a nighttime fly
Oh my gosh, that’s an amazing idea!!! 👍💯😁😎⚓️
Pretty sweet!
Oh yeah!! 👍😁😎⚓️
seeing it snap roll was wild!
A hefty, beautiful bird...quite a looker🍺
2:26 It is made for sticking a small GoPro into!
I never fly a airplane ✈️ but maybe one day a buy this plane and I’m try 😊
Me too😐
Magnifique cette engin 😉👍
Top vidéo 👍👍🐓🇲🇫👍😉

Awesome!!!!
Finally!!!!!!!!!!
I'll stick with the original Coastie design.
keep up the good work
Very cool! You should try to do a LAPES drop with a tank or other large object.
Actually, the small plug with the dummy antenna in the top of the hatch is to be removed to improve cooling in hot weather flying.
It seriously has everything I want except retracts😭😂
the avios c130 on hobbyking is 1.6m and has everything and retracts
True but honestly I can’t buy it everything is too expensive
@@steineken_jrya ik im getting this ec1500 for my birthday in 5 days i will post on my channel
I didn't see a post on your channel
Nice plane not quite as expensive as I thought :)
I have the gen 1 and love it. I'm really hoping they come out with a new F-18 Blue Angels jet soon.
Nice video! 👍
Thanks DZ! 👍😁😎⚓️

Not for nothing, but the gear on the C-17 Globemaster look very similar to that RC. And the C-17 can operate from unimproved surfaces (in a pinch). Good morning
Looks a lot like the C130. Twin props rather than 4, but very cool
I wonder if they'll make a quad prop cargo plane??
Nate that front hatch is for fpv only seen that on horizon today :)
Who is flying the drone and or plane in the chase shots?
Looks amaing but how about C130 it Hurricane lees. 4 props spining that size would be soo soo cool
You seen hobbyking c130? Retracts and all!

@@mathewgarrard3621 much nicer than this plane and is a scale plane
Could you set the middle wing deflections to be flaperons?

That front hole is meant to mount an fpv camera so you dont have to punch holes in it.
Possible camera mount on the front
Hello can someone give me some suggestions on what kind of RC aircraft i can get that are really amazing
That's a camera mount on top of the nose.
how many channels do u need on your transmitter to use the cargo door? i only have 6 channels
You would probably be stoked if you swapped the tires with rubber tires, I was I think it improved the whole experience.
That would be so awesome on this plane!! 👍😁😎⚓️
It was my Sharpie
May I ask where your runway is located? Nice review by the way!
