I've had both flap servos come loose from doing full span ailerons, I just glued them both back in and no problems. I might as well just do the same thing to the aileron servos too before they come loose. Just ordered 13x4 props with timber x spinners and can't wait to try it. I also switched the props and motor rotation to spin outwards and tried that and it can do some crazy maneuvers but ill prolly switch them back to normal
I installed the 13x4 props. Did you lose some top end speed with those? Also when flying i noticed I have to keep power almost to 50% to keep the plane flying straight any thing less it wants to fall out the sky
Look back in our channel history and you'll see Tony. He's been Jon's best friend since 2006 and is also his brother-in-law, hence the channel name. It's a reference to their shared history and passion for aviation. Tony has been busy with work and life and isn't as available as he used to be, but he does occasionally make appearances.
Well, since I broke my props tonight... I punched it for take off and I think the wheels caught a rut and nosed over. Oh well, time try the 2-bladed props. They're on their way. Maybe I'll try these aileron configurations too. Thanks for the post.
We visit my in-laws in Garner a few times every Summer. I’d love to bring my FMS SuperCub with me and fly with you one of those times, Jon 👍🏼 Just need to make room in the Prius for her. 😂
Hey Jon, I'm thinking of getting a timber. I was wondering what timber you prefer for 3D flying. TheTurbo timber evolution or the Twin timber with the mods. Thank you
What do you think about the growing number of balsa ARF planes the Motion RC offers? Have you tried any of them or are you planning to? Would be interesting if someone like you who predominantly flies foam could give first hand experience on the differences. Cheers
Hey Jon Would it ne possible That you could somehow testfly a freewing 70mm f16 Arctic camo? Or could you do a second landing Tutorial on another 70mm f16?
It's pretty simple - just hold the nose up and apply throttle until it slowly sinks down on the mains. Check our landings from this vid and you should see the stick movements: th-cam.com/video/7yOu5SfhLHA/w-d-xo.html
ALWAYS check servos! My timber rt aileron broke free from the (factory) 3m tape after 5th flight🤦♀️🤷♂️! ALL r permanently attached now! Lucky I was doing a preflight & caught it on the ground!
10:57 Exactly Jon that's how all of the best get made by just smashing the sticks to see what the plane does and to try to do it again. Here's a idea for another mod Jon why not take those 2 motors&props off this Turbo Timber and move it to your Turbo Timber X mash up so you can call it your Twin Turbo Timber X or TTTX for short??
Mass manufacturing isn't perfect. We're not going to bag on HH because the factory glue didn't hold up to extreme aerobatics that the plane wasn't designed for.
I love the full scale Navion in the background of this video. I pull my new Timber Twin out of the box next weekend.
It's in the background of most of our vids, it'll probably be there forever.
@@TwoBrosRC my dad had one and we flew all over in it. I got an old balsa kit from the 60's, I'm gonna attempt to put in a receiver and fly it.
Like Jeremy Clarkson says - "MORE POWEEEEEEEER!!" Lol.
I might need to see this setup on floats. Those big ol’ props would absolutely shred!! 👍🏼
Just bought the props excited to try this set up! Thank you for sharing

As a fairly new pilot, I am glad to see that it's okay to blame the wind on bad landings LOL.
Looking good, you're probably getting some rotor from the trees making turbulent air near the ground
I’ve always meant to ask you, who’s the other brother in Two Brothers Radio Control? I only see you flying, Jon.

Awesome flying and boy those props woke that plane right up.
It definitely makes a massive difference in how it handles!

Hey Jon, I'm thinking of getting a timber. I was wondering what timber you prefer for 3D flying. TheTurbo timber evolution or the Twin timber with the mods. Thank you
The Timber Evo has been our choice for limited 3D flying for a long time. The Twin is fun but it's just not as light or capable as the Evo is.
OK 👍
Nice! I run a 13x4 on my XFly Tasman gives plenty of thrust! 🎉
hello, you said you recommended turn off thrust diff with the bigger props, is that even if im just going to fly normal, not 3d
If you're doing sport flying, you can leave it as-is.
Just did the 13x4 mod and put the Draco tires on it. Entirely different plane now.
Right? It's definitely enjoyable with the added thrust.
Cool deal bro nice flight

Check out our upload posting in 40 minutes!
I like using bi-blades cause I'm cheap. I like watching your channel to see what the plane is actually capable of.
Happy to help!
My apologies for asking a basic question - - is there a guidance document for how to disable differential thrust on the Twin Timber?
It's in the ESC settings which are adjusted by using your transmitter or programing box.
@@TwoBrosRC Thanks so much!
can I use 'CW' / 'CCW' props? I can't really find 'pusher props' in my area... thanks
That should work.
@@TwoBrosRC awesome, thanks for your reply!
At 4:20 on your flight timer im seeing you esc temp reading 170*F, is that an ok temp?
Yep. That's totally normal. The ESC doesn't go into thermal protection until 220F.
I just ordered a set of those props $16.61 out the door.
Hey 2 Bros-Thanks for a great video on the Twimber but I dont see the setup guide when I click the link
It's at the end of the vid linked in the description.
@@TwoBrosRC Thanks, I found it
Love the video. Still trying to decide on my second plane. Jumping in that discord now
Just being nosey what is your first plane
What did the prop change do to flight time, on the same battery? Thinking of getting one of these.
It slightly reduces it - which is a great tradeoff for the amount of thrust it provides.

@@TwoBrosRC Ok thank you.
Im actually a experienced Pilot but only with prop machies.
I got this Jet new and Just wanted to make Sure.
Thank you
Awesome, would I be able to use this prop on the eflite apprentice s15?
Probably not, each prop is usually specific to a motor.
@@TwoBrosRC thanks for your reply buddy.
Nice! Is it possible to do similar on the fms super cub 1300 to? 😊
Possibly.
@@TwoBrosRC just got one crashed for free from the field. It’s not to hard to fix it. Did a real face plant to the ground 😜🙈
How do you set up the flapperons please?
All the info is in the back of our initial review on this plane. Look back through our uploads and you'll see it.
@@TwoBrosRC got it, thank you 👍🏻
Wait till your control horn rips put of your elevator.....happening to alot of them
Never heard of this yet.
Nothing at all wrong with stick smashing! Otherwise, how would WE find new & crazy stuff to do to name it🤷♂️!
I'd thot about the new ec1500 props on twimber. (Same motors, same dual esc, y not?) I like the 13x4 option better!👍

Can't, the wings don't fit. Also, we don't have this anymore lol
Check one of the two recent crash reels to see why!
Temps are lower also

Did I get banned from live chat? lol
If you did, your comment would have been put into the "held for review" section which it wasn't.
Need to talk faster!!!

that plane is awful!
Says who?
Way to make excuses for HH and their absolute bare minimum of adhesive usage!
