I am a 4th year student from PES University(CSE) and can give you my side of story . If you are into campus life and all those things then this is not the place for you as the campus is small , but if at the end of 4 years you want to have a good offer in placement then go for it. The college is not that famous but if you get into any of the good Tech companies then there will be lot of PES alumni working there. I had a cgpa of 8.13 but got a placement of 29.5 lpa and my friend got a package of 23 with a cgpa of 7.6 although we had given a lot during the placement seasons. I can tell you that Avg package of this batch 2022 of CSE is 14-15lpa as we have seen all the placement numbers.

interestingly PES did not figure in your list of top 10 private colleges where RVCE came in. A general view of Bangalore is that CSE is better vis a vis RVCE while ECE is better at RVCE. Good to understand your thoughts. Perhaps a Bangalore college review is needed

Hi, Good review....not sure about the current year scenario but in around 2019 when I graduated PES Main campus was better than BMS and MSRIT any day, now I am observing the intake has increased, had the intake been maintained the same as our batch which was 360 in CSE total , then it would have given competition to bits Pillani in terms of placement figures , other points are rightly explained PS : I am 2015-2019 CSE grad (PESU)
Hey Shreya, ECE is good in PESU , if you prepare well for software companies I am sure you will be be able to get tier 1 placement, avg for Ece would be around 6.5
@shreya rajput college exams can be managed not an issue , it maybe difficult compared to other vtu colleges but everyone would be writing the same exam , just be attentive you will manage
As a graduate from PESU this year, average placement stats are atleast > 85%, and average salary > 14 lpa easily .... Almost every company coming to PESU also visits RVCE , but not other colleges like MSRamaiah or BMSCE . PESU is great for quality education, syllabus for most courses is IIT KGP/ SOME NIT slides content + PESU's professor's own. I can see clearly how THE GRIND in college HELPS in CORPORATE compared to other peer's ( no offence , but grind in PESU is OP ) . College life is NULL , this is true, fest and all have slowly started improving , but overall , now there's a head-on-head fight with RVCE & PESU on placement's . GOOD LUCK . Hello, like your son, I myself am at the exact same position...I have a 9k rank in Manipal and 6 k rank in Comedk with a rank of 1.2k in PESSAT. And I can confidently tell you that PES is the way to go. I'd only suggest going to Manipal if your son gets the Manipal branch which is obviously a rare occurrence, but compared to Manipal Bangalore, PES is easily a tier above, the cse, aiml and ece branches have better placements in PES, and the fees might come out to be tad bit cheaper compared to Manipal. Hope this cleared your mind and maybe I could meet your son this year..
@shreya rajput I see you have asked this question alot. You don't need to be worried. PES is not for the college life that you see in movies, it's more like a school and college hybrid. Both RR and EC campus are good. EC campus have better teachers but RR campus have more exposure with many clubs and competition's are held in RR campus. As long as you stay up-to-date in your subject you don't need to worry about placements.

I'd only suggest going to Manipal if your son gets the Manipal branch which is obviously a rare occurrence, but compared to Manipal Bangalore, PES is easily a tier above, the cse, aiml and ece branches have better placements in PES, and the fees might come out to be tad bit cheaper compared to Manipal. Hope this cleared your mind and maybe I could meet your son this year..

EC campus doesn't have EEE, it has CSE and ECE

PES is not for the college life that you see in movies, it's more like a school and college hybrid.
Both RR and EC campus are good. EC campus have better teachers but RR campus have more exposure with many clubs and competition's are held in RR campus.
As long as you stay up-to-date in your subject you don't need to worry about placements.
