Thanks so much for this video. I have really clear goals in my head of what I want to do in college and considering those I believe this college will be worth it especially given it's Exchange programs. And ofcourse regarding the negative points of the college regarding drugs and clubs, I guess being aware about it really helps in not going downt the wrong path.

@@aryamansharma7Academics wise it's very good, better than VIT, SRM etc!! But student life is a bit.......There is very hard party life in Manipal, there are even clubs and pubs on the campus itself!! So drugs and alcohol are very easy to get our hands on!! So there is high chance of normal person falling into them!! I don't know if this is true or not but acc to some students from Quora and Reddit, there are many students who can probably negatively effect our lives!! So it all comes down to our will to resist them and concentrate on academics and walk on right path!! Other negative is the fee of the college which can range from 16-20 lakhs!! ROI is not high as average package was around 10 lakh so we can speculate median to be 8-9 lakhs!! But.......MIT is one of the fastest developing University in whole of India, if given enough time and resolve some issues it can be at par to even BITS!! Not to forget the state of the art infrastructure!! Overall it's a pretty good college, but high party and alcohol, drugs makes it big no for many of the households!!

Really good video.... my first yr just got over and i can definitely say everything he has said is quite apt..... i had almost 95 percentile in jee main and around 190-195 marks in bitsat and was getting nit surat mech. (State quota) and bits pilani (civil) bits goa and hyd (msc chem) (both in the last round of counselling) but was not interested that much in core branches hence joined here..... i was getting ece in both mit manipal and vit vellore(2nd cat) but i chose manipal over vit.... i had a rank of 4256 in manipal and vit kaa ranking was an absolute joke during our time..... curently i am in IT and tbh i was kinda sure that i wud get at least cce with this rank.... other private colleges i didnt even apply to coz if i didnt get any thik thak in vit and mit also then may be me not for engg.... i had many reasons for not joining vit and choosing manipal over it (category system, student intake, strict authority) also manipal has an excellent alumni network (even other than satya nadela) and for a pvt college thats really good also manipal ke student projects and clubs are excellent.... if u ask me.... then if u can afford it without MUCH difficulty... def go for it..... avg pack. Highest pack. All of them are really good.

He just uploaded the video when my first year finished at MIT. I can't explain how much I am attached to Manipal rn, how much it has changed me, what i was an year ago and what I am now is just out of league for a language to explain.
If you can afford, it is one of the best experiences you can ever have in your life. You can do just literally everything you can think of. Spend your first year wisely. I didn't join any clubs because i missed the recruitments but still i enjoyed and learned a lot. I actually am in Mechatronics branch and i thought i would be more interested in mechanical but as I studied here i realised my interests. The teachers are very qualified and helpful. I still can't stress enough on how much my physics teacher helped me get the concepts right even out of his working hours.
The campus is small (118 acres) but you can go out anytime in the day and there are not much restrictions. So you have entire of the Udupi to explore.
Like, MIT is located in the Udupi-Agumbe highway. If you head east, you reach Agumbe where you have koodluteertha falls and trekking, and if you head west you reach the beach, there's malpe, kapu, mattu, hoode, you can go to the hanging bridge for kayaking. McDonald's and burger king are just in front of gate. The mess food is all great.
None of this is promotion ofc, i am myself dropping out of MIT after my first year, but i atleast know I couldn't have spent this year better anywhere else.

And also for Thapar University and other private colledge( Chandigarh University... SRM (all branches)...Jaypee Noida and other Delhi NCR colledges including IP University etc..) and on STATE COUNCILLINGS LIKE HSTES, JAC Chandigarh, AKTU, MHTCET AND COMED-K COUNCILLING COLLEDGES REVIEW etc.
90% ILE IS A DECENT SCORE.

College according to your budget & your branch/ Department preferences will be best for you if you are going to study ( choose market demand top 5-6 branches if it's a Private college)
Scholarship for 101 to 5k depends on parents income and maintaining 8cgpa is not enough for continuing scholarship only top 5% gets the scholarship I mean top 5% of the general students

Don't take a loan for the whole fees but u can take a loan for a portion of ur total fees like 5 to 10 it depends on ur financial condition but don't take a loan of whole 23 lakhs

My jee mains rank is 465000 which is obviously very bad.
According to my introspection My rank is too low not because i didn't studied,It's because my productivity was very low and my direction was not right.
Although i am very good at practical things like i have been doing coding for last 1.5 years and i am very good at it i even made 2-3 zero investment apps too...
Plzz suggest me what to do--
Option 1) Go in some pvt colleges like Chandigarh university, sharda, Amity etc..
Option 2) I am getting some colleges in west bengal through wbjee because my wbjee rank is 17k like Haldia (Electrical); techno(Cse or electrical) etc...
Money is not a very big problem for me.
