It's always satisfying when the king saves the day in the endgame. I played a game recently where I was dead lost, only king left, but opponent made a mistake with positioning. Opponent had bishop and knight, he chose to put them next to each other, one square away from my king. I move king beside the two, bishop couldn't defend knight, knight couldn't defend bishop, other king was too far away, therefore fork, therefore one of the two will be taken and that is a stalemate by insufficient material. My favorite non-win ever.

However, I thought it could be fun if you could cover some historic tournaments, much like your commentary on modern tournaments. For example, Bobby Fischer’s historic first US Championship, or the 1959 Candidates Tournament. Plus, this way you won’t have to make an entire video on just one game (even though some games are truly deserving of that).

12:48 does Nh4, f3, followed by Nxg6 and Rh4 work as well? I have a feeling that black might be able to complicate matters after h4 h5 Kh2 with ...Bc8.
Sorry if I'm missing something obvious

Pretty sure the Nh4 attacking sequence just gets stopped in its tracks by ...Bc8.

@@MisterNohbdy I think in that case white can immediately play Nxg6 hxg6 (fxg6 allows Qg7#; Qxg2+ is met by Kxg2) Rh3 with the unstoppable threat of Rh8#.

I think there is another king-walk game between a world champion and somebody else, that champion ran his king from the kingside to the queenside and won.

US football analogies do not cut it. This is like a soccer goalkeeper, taking the ball from his penalty area to the opposite field, dribbling past the other team’s defenders and scoring a goal (see: Chilavert). This is not a king run where the king runs to safety,so, this is not a more plausible goal-keeper goal where they go forward for a corner kick or a penalty (still rare). Thus, a super rare Chilavert style goal.
