    Love that Alpha is keeping their old school hooded gauge cluster. Too many cars are looking the same these days...a 2 foot long continous flatscreen in front of the driver simply lacks soul and excitement. Of course a big part of the excitement with driving an Alpha is going a few days in a row with no warning lights or other things going wrong😂

    Does the steering suspension provide feedback (stiff)? It feels like most modern sports luxury brands are pretty non responsive in terms of steering feel. All feel like a Camry

      Make sure you change the oil every 5K miles or so with that motor. I drove it aggressively, and listened to the factory intervals. Learned my lesson the hard way. Had a 17, had 72k on it when I traded it in, and it had random misfires and shit because of that. Traded it in for a 2019 Giulia with less than 5k miles on it.

    • @jbm0866
      @jbm0866 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If I had the disposable income to easily afford either one I'd also choose the Alpha against my better judgement. The Audi is more likely to last past the warranty period, but the Alpha would make every drive feel special.

      The only manual ones I’ve seen is if you get the Quadrifoglio. It has the twin turbo V6 that I think Ferrari had a hand in on developing. This trim fetches a way higher price tag too.

      Been looking for an upgrade from my Gulietta 1.4 multiair to perhaps this. But there are basicly no manuals on the second hand marketplace shop or extremely expensive. All the others are automatic.. If i would get one I would always use the paddle shifters to make up for it. Just never drove an automatic and it seems boring to me so that's holding me back. Need to have some alternatives which are manual but don't know which ones

    In Greece Giulia is anything but economical/cheap ! They re starting at approx 55k euros 💶 and I am fearing reliability problems past 60k miles … I ‘ d rather buy a Hyundai i30N at 39k euros which is very fun too and way more reliable…. Same with Megane RS , Mini Cooper, Type R , Focus ST , GTI/ clubsport and so on

      Funny that you list so many options that are known for their unreliability (apart from the Honda and Renault). But even for the Honda, you have to stay away from the later turbo engines. The Alfa from this bunch is #2 in reliability, right after the Renault.

      @@WVCUR77 infotainment is common sore spot in many different cars these days, but unless there are functions buried in there (like a/c or heat) I really don't care about the center stack. The warning light is a different matter and seems to be an Italian/German car thing. Many owners hook up a scanner and clear the code if it's nothing serious. Was the engine/chassis/steering at least pretty good? I'd never go for the base anyway, I'd have to have the full fat Quadrifolio🤘😎

      Have you seen the price of a 330i today? The Giulia is 44K and comes standard with leather heated seats and many other features. Comparable 330i is 48-50k.
      Saying it is just a Fiat is stupid because and factually wrong because it shares nothing with the Fiat platforms. This was the last project the Ferrari engineering team worked on before splitting with FCA. It is one of if not the best sports sedan chassis ever made. Phenomenal steering and chassis dynamics.
