Please read and visit my community page. Scams are a familiar territory for me. I have 2 bachelor degrees, one in Banking & Finance, another one in Business Economics and a Masters degree in Financial Law with several minors that consist of one in White Collar Crime and one in Internet law. I have always taken a special interest in investment scams, romance scams, everything that has to do with scams in general and related to white collar crime.
I created a deep dive analysis of the first episode of Lynn being scammed by the professional group of conmen and will do the same for episode nr. 4 and release them this weekend. If you have any questions about these episodes or romance scams in general please leave them below in the comment section of my community www.youtube.com/@goaldrivendatingstrategy/community.

I've just been involved with a man who's had thousands of pounds of my welfare money, as I can't work right now. Although we were intimate for about 8years he could never answer when I asked where I stood with him. Then recently I found out he has a "Girlfriend." He paid some of the money back into my bank account but only really done it regular once he knew my social worker had seen my bank statements & £100 a time going to him. Yet he has a full time job. He has broken me mentally. He's stopped paying me back & is difficult to contact. But I feel powerless. That there's nothing I can do because they might say I gave him the money willingly. My worker had me put on a Vulnerable Adult database because of concerns of financial Manipulation. I was sent to psychiatric hospital for assessment after finding out about the Girlfriend. He has broken me, made me sick & acting like he does not care. I feel like I'm going insane & so powerless. He let me believe we had a connection! 😔

Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm weak at the moment, It really knocked the life out of me, while he don't seem to care. We now only have contact when he decides to unblock me & have a quick chat. That's only happened once or twice since I found out before xmas he's been seeing someone else. If I try to call it won't connect & don't know if he receives my texts. I'm exhausted now, the way he doesn't even try to say sorry & just acts like nothing happened absolutely kills me! I end up ill. But I'm trying, I'm trying to move on in life, like yourself I need time out from relationships to work on myself. Right now I feel that I'll never let this man close enough to hurt me ever again. He got caught out when I went to his unexpected & someone else told me he might be at his girlfriends for the night. So he knows he's found out. The rat!!! I hope you're doing better these days! xx

@@jendelaney5335 I don’t know how a human being can survive to adulthood on their own being this intellectually stunted, and I’m being dead serious. She’s not a young lady and she didn’t think to ask all of the questions that are going through my head right from the get-go there’s so many things that I would be asking so many things that I know about the world and how they work that would not be compatible with the story and situation, first of all, you cannot just bring in ordinate amounts of cash into a country there’s limits and it depends on the country how much you can carry there’s all kinds of banking and financial rules and regulations and nobody doing things on the up and up it’s just carrying straight cash certainly not $7 million. Dubai is a big financial hub if you will there’s no reason why that couldn’t be transferred bank to bank the same banking institutions that we have around the world. They have there when we’re talking about inheritance I don’t know how it works in Dubai but I do know how it works in other places in the Middle East and the United States and you wouldn’t just have someone’s inheritance in your hands like that immediately no matter what, and it wouldn’t be entrusyed to a woman that dude just met on a dating website and involve her in that even if I met a guy and I really liked him and you know things were picking up and everything’s on the up and up and I bought an inheritance I don’t think I would bring that up with him. I mean I may be would tell him but I don’t think I would discuss dollar amounts because that would kind of give somebody a reason to try to take it vantage of you if that’s what their agenda was I wouldn’t want somebody thinking that they could be with me for my money for my inheritance people who have money don’t really talk about it don’t really put that out there specially when it comes to dating and relationships they don’t just flaunt their Money unless they’re trying to buy somebody’s affections or trying to lead someone to believe that they have money and they really don’t.

One of the things most victims do not mention it is that they are involved in phone sex with the scammer. The scammer uses this as a tactic to keep the victim emotionally bonded to them.
Another thing that scammers use is the victims own greed. The scammer pretends that they have lots of money and the victim thinks that they are involved with a rich person who will lavish them with wealth.

    • @jordanalandry1866
      @jordanalandry1866 ปีที่แล้ว +2

it depends what they do depends on their job and the nature an area like the specialty in which they’re working it’s entirely possible to tell somebody that you work for the FBI or the CIA or MI5, but certainly you’re not gonna disclose a lot of detail or any detail as to your whereabouts for business or the cases that you’re working on I have friends and family members that worked in intelligence and agencies of that nature they usually have a different cell phone a locked briefcase, Work that they bring home they can’t work on in front of anybody you know things are very secure. In that respect it’s just like a doctor you know they’re a doctor, but they’re not going to come home and tell you all their patients names, and what went on, because that would be a violation of HIPAA law and I am a physician so I can’t come home and tell my husband oh I saw so-and-so at the hospital today he was having kidney stones or something like that or so and so his wife just had a baby because that’s against the law. I can’t share that information. I have to protect the privacy of patients even if they’re not my own, it’s like that with even law enforcement so it’s possible that someone could be working for an intelligence agency but it’s kind of suspicious that someone would give that away right away to someone that they just met and be getting involved in a relationship knowing that they are going to have to be traveling and doing all this for business there is just a lot of things about this story that she should’ve known it was definitely very outlandish very far-fetched and well. Yes, there are intelligence agents out in the world. They’re regular people too. They have lives they date they’re married. They have kids just like everybody else it’s not like James Bond super spy, but they’re not going around sharing that with everybody you know they’re not usually casually dating and things like that because that is seen as a security risk and a liability for their clearances also. My dad and I have both had security clearances and ours were not even the top level clearance but they got quite up into your personal business. I mean they want to make sure that you don’t have any ties to anybody or any high risk of a breach or becoming a target of another government or something like that. They need to make sure that somebody is psychologically sound and those clearances in those screenings get even more intense, the higher, the clearance and this guy he’s a mess. He’s all over the place and he’s involving a woman that he casually met on plenty of fish in his finances and his work and that right there would be a big absolute not possible that would never fly at any agency, if a paper goes missing, if a cell phone or a brief case or a laptop is not in their possession at
Any and all times that’s considered a breach that’s going to get them at least reprimanded formally, if not fired, Security is very important in that line of work

I find this very interesting as people think that if they have met the person, it means they are not a scammer. I am really tough on these women, because most never get to meet the man, who might be in another country, but this woman had dinner wit the man. I see it so difficult to part with my hard earn money to a man, when I am sure the children could have used it. If her son had ask her to loan him 25.000. $, she would have turned him down.
Just a few days ago in November a young man, who I though was my grandson called to say he was in an accident, the car he ran into had a child who was critically injured. He was arrested, and needed 9.000. To get out of jail. For som good reason, I ask him what my middle name was, and the person hung up. No money from this tough old lady.

I mean, it depends sometimes you really hit it off with somebody and you text throughout the day and it may be a total of five hours. You might have a lot to talk about you might have really deep interesting conversations. I have male friends that I have talk to you on the phone all night long, not all the time and not in a romantic aspect, but I would say most men aren’t calling women and trying to woo them for five hours a day. Yeah that’s true but this is obviously not a normal man not a normal relationship. He was probably working her over and isolating her and in a sense kind of brainwashing her basically winning her over and getting her on board with everything he has to make sure that he has her 100% under his thumb and trusting in him to be able to perpetuate what he was doing a normal woman wouldn’t have five hours a day to devote to a man calling her, and if she did, she certainly wouldn’t want to spend that time every single day doing that you know we have jobs we have kids we have a social life we have a home and we need our space to even in a relationship that would be a red flag to me just more the fact that he’s got all this time on his hands to commit to me, and expects me to be available for all this time it would strike me as very clingy and desperate and when I was single, I would get really off put by guys who after the first conversation literally expected you to be available and answer their calls and want to meet in person immediately and if you didn’t, they would get really nasty and really jealous which is strange to me because they don’t know me they don’t know me at all yet and I don’t know them, so why would I want to take time out of my day to go and meet them and spend time with them unless I have a pretty good certainty that that’s some thing that I would enjoy or I feel like this is somebody that I really have some thing in common with and this could really go somewhere and I want to pursue it even then a good guy will be very patient and willing to wait because they understand you know we both have schedules to work around a person might have kids or other obligations. You might be living in different cities you know things like that and then you have to work out the logistics of everything so people have to be willing to be patient and wait to meet somebody if it’s someone, they really have a good feeling about and willing to get to know them better before they meet

I've had to watch this film quite a few times to understand the actual facts of the story which are somewhat marred by the way the story is told.
There were many things that struck me about this programme, that were overlooked. Firstly, when Lynn loses the document, and Philip tells her she “caused so many problems and she should never have come here.” What strikes me as odd is that Lynn is smiling when she tells us this. Why is she not fuming angry?? Something does not make sense?? If as she tells us she has gone over their innocently to be by John’s side while he sorts out his £7m inheritance, why would she not be more angry and incensed if she was spoken to like that by one of John’s friends.
Who dates someone for a few weeks and then gets involved in sorting out there complicated financial dealings…. And in a foreign country??!! There is no talk about their “relationship” after this point. Does she ever have a face-to-face with John again? Is she left only dealing with Philip? Do her and John ever go on another date let alone have any intimate dealings together?? How can they call this romance fraud?? Where is the romance?? I am so confused. Huge chunks of this are being missed out.
Also, with regards to the £10k Lynn says she wants to pay to replace the money laundering certificate. What the film over looks is that it’s her friend Ann that pays for this. My question would be ‘why?’. Why would her friend give her this money? It doesn’t make any sense unless she truly believes that something awful will happen to Lynn if she doesn’t pay the money. Or on the flip side of that she believes she will get something back in return for lending her that money?
Another thing thing that stumps me is, who the hell has a lump sum figure of £10k just lying around that they have spare that they can lend to a friend to give to a total stranger????
Again, there is the similar scenario with Lynn’s son “lending” her £26k. Who has £26k to lend?? Who can spare £1k per month?? Nothing makes sense? If all these people have so much spare cash lying around why aren’t they millionaires??
Thirdly, does anyone realise, it seems certainly for the first few months Lynn is not spending “her” money but other peoples. This is why it is so hard for me to feel sorry for her. She was happy to bleed her friends and family dry. What was she telling them to part with their money? Did she tell her friends and son’s that she would be murdered if she didn’t stump up the cash? Did she tell them they would get double what they put in? What?? I would love to know??
And, finally, I cannot for the life of me work out what her relationship was with the original man she met online and went out for dinner with?? Did she ever see him again? It sounds bizarre that she was so willing to give him thousands of pounds (that she scammed off other people) yet wasn’t even seeing him? I would love to know more about this but the film completely glosses over it. For example, did she ever see him again after the one time they went out for dinner together? Did they date? Were they in a relationship??
Why did she carry on paying this £1k per month? Why did she think she should do this? These questions are never asked, nor are they explained which leads me to think this is a more dubious story than the one that is portrayed her.
As far as I can see she went out to Dubai, doesn’t actually see the man she is supposed to be in a relationship with, and is instead talked into “managing” his inheritance dealings. What??? Where does the story go from here? Do they carry on dating in any way shape or form? Do they live together? Get married? To me it sounds like she never, ever sees him again, yet is more than willing to pay all of his bills, sort of like how someone would act like a business agent or a go-between.
I was even wondering what happened to the “dating” part? I mean, did they kiss? Did they share a bed together?? It sounds like she never, ever saw him and it doesn’t really go into whether she believed she was in a relationship with him or not. And then “Doug” is brought into the scene, and according to her, they “bonded”. No love, Doug was brought onto the scene to ‘whooo’ you and keep you on board. Again this is glossed over and not really gone into in any great depth.
I feel what is really missing from this documentary would have been the text messages between her and “John”. I feel this would be more revealing of what really happened.
Lasting, please someone, for the love of God, tell Lynn and her friends that a really caring and kind person would not rob their own friends and family blind to pay some random stranger in another country that none of them have ever met. That is not true friendship love. No, it is true manipulation and narcissism.
It’s not Lynn who is the victim here, it is her friends and family that have been duped by her. They did not meet the fraudsters, she did. She is entirely responsible for them handing over their hard earning money to her, and to be quite frank she doesn’t even seem sorry about this. She is only sorry for herself.

They’re not even thinking the big picture they’re not having the kinds of conversations about serious things that normal people would as a relationship progresses. They are just easily swayed by a few kind words canned compliments promises of money, happy life together etc. when there’s nothing to back it up it’s all just bullshit. You know how many guys fucking say nice shit to me and promise me things and I don’t fucking go out with them. I didn’t Mariam it didn’t fucking do anything for me cause anybody can do that anybody can say whatever they want and they’re going to say whatever they have to to get whatever they want so people need to use their fucking heads.

She was so smitten by this bloke upon first meeting him, and then along comes Doug and she instantly falls in love with him instead (She obviously wears her heart on her sleeve). The sheer stupidity of these women who get taken for a ride like this is mind-blowing! Now, I don't mean to be unkind when I say this, but if you're a woman over a ''certain age'' and maybe your looks are fading and your body isn't as great as it used to be, and you're clearly a mature aged lady, you would have to ask yourself 'why is this bloke interested in me and paying me so much attention when he can have a younger attractive one?'
I mean, you don't have to be too clever to figure that one out! A mature aged woman is more likely to own her own house, have a nice pile of money in the bank, and be very susceptible and flattered by compliments made to her by attractive men. These men are predatory and a woman in this position with money, is a prime target. But let's also remember that it works the other way round too.....Young women latching onto much older unattractive men. Some women (mostly of Asian or Russian descent) target these much older lonely men because the men are often easy to get money out of as they don't realise that she's only there to drain his bank account and then....SHE'S GONE, and onto her next victim. I have witnessed many sad sights whilst out shopping. On a recent visit to the shops, there was one particular couple that stood out, I was walking behind them and she was Asian and probably no more than 25, and the poor old fella would have been in his 70's and obviously couldn't keep up with her. They were passing a jewellers and she just went straight in there and the poor old fella sort of stood there at the entrance looking confused. I regularly used to see another couple that used to do their weekly shop at the supermarket at the same time as me. This Asian woman would have been around 50 and she wore the most expensive designer clothes, carried a designer handbag (very expensive), wore designer shoes (probably Jimmy Choo), was decked out in VERY expensive jewellery etc. She was clearly repulsed by the poor old gentleman, she made sure she was never in close contact with him and always walked well ahead of him as if she wasn't with him. The gentleman in question was very elderly, he shuffled along behind her using a walking frame and he was almost bent double, he would have been in his 80's. His clothes were filthy, he wore the same thing every time I saw them. He was unkempt and in urgent need of care, my heart broke for him everytime I saw them together. It was like he wasn't even with her, she distanced herself from him and when she did speak to him, she was very nasty and snapped at him. When it came to paying at the checkout she would ask for his card and everything in the trolley was just ridiculously expensive. I noticed other people watching them, we all knew what was going on, it's so very sad. She probably tricked him into marrying her as soon as she met him, he was very elderly and not in good health at all........she wouldn't have to wait long to get her greedy hands on his money. He was probably worth a fortune and she secured it for herself by latching on to him even though she hated him.

I can't believe how naive and gullible this woman is. She must have lived a very sheltered life previously. Everything seemed to have been all right up until their meeting for a meal in the pub, and that's when the story started to go south, beginning with John informing her that he was being sent on a top secret mission by his employer requiring him to fly to Dubai (likely story!) and then continuing to get even more ridiculous when, while over there, John tells Lynne that he was just informed he was about to inherit an enormous of money he wants to share with her (why me of all people is what I'd ask myself since we we aren't that close), then he asks Lynne to fly over to Dubai (was this trip financed by her new friend or by her?), then she meets up with not John but an emissary businessman (who must be more familiar
with John's financial business matters than her) who greets her and then proceeds to tell her that John needs her assistance in handling a document requesting the $$$ (and why isn't this Philip friend of John's conducting this transaction instead of me since he's already in Dubai, is something I would ask myself). So, this document mysteriously is lost and needs ten thousand pounds to replace--that's some loaded replacement document! (I'd be asking myself, why so much?) I mean, why couldn't Lynne see this entire setup was a fake? This whole thing would sound to me like an adventure fiction story, and I know that if I had been Lynne's friend, never would I have lent her the money she was asking me for but would have instead warned her, telling her to do a background check on this guy because his story sounds fishy. Actually, no one really needed to do the background check because I think that one phone call to the bank would have cleared up the issue about John's monies having to be put on hold for the amount of money he was asking for, if at all.

Love is like a drug. Even when the person knows they've been scammed, they still cling to that feeling of loving someone, and telling themselves they are loved. It is a fairy tail romance that is like an addiction, and the victim does not want that "high" to stop. It was loneliness and depression that made them vulnerable, and it took away all the pain, the loneliness, the sadness. It makes them feel worthwhile and put on a pedestal. Although none of it is real, it feels real, in spite of all the money the scammer steals from them. It's almost like the victim is paying just to keep that feeling. It's like they are saying, "Please don't take this illusion away from me. It is giving me life." Imaginary romances are, to them, better than no romance at all, and there is no price too high to keep it going. What is even worse, is that there are singles groups and meetup groups all over the U.S. where anyone of any age can meet real people and do activities with them, and have fun, take trips, and a variety of other things. Anyone looking for companionship, just look up "Meet Up Groups" for your city or county.

Men get scammed too. Years ago, I had an American male friend who was being scammed by an extremely beautiful "South African woman", He showed me her picture on line and some of their conversations and really thought he had hit the jackpot with that lady. I kinda knew it was a scam in my heart. More so, when she started asking for money, meet him in London, etc, etc. I told him she was not for real but he insisted on coming from the USA to London to meet her. I checked out the hotel she told him she was staying in, near Heathrow Airport, it never existed. The phone number she gave never existed, and so on and so forth. He had already wired her money from the USA because she told him a load of lies about why she needed it. The only good thing to come out of it was that I got to see my online friend from the USA. I took him to a theatre show at Victoria, London and we had a meal. He was a really lovely friend and I tried to tell him but he wouldn't listen. He is now very happily married with a jealous wife so we have lost contact.

Real Men Never Ask For Money, Nether Do Real Women.

Says who? No, actually you are right because if a woman is smart she can get whatever she wants from a man without even asking for it! A real man will bring it up because he knows it's his duty to spoil and pamper his significant other. Maybe a foreign concept to you but not to real affluent man they do it daily without complaining. Keep watching my channel and I will show you! 😀

that’s absolutely correct and my husband would agree not a chance in hell would a real man be asking for a fucking money it doesn’t work like that you don’t fucking come on to a woman that you barely fucking know and involve her in your finances in one way or another u just don’t. I don’t care how down on my luck I am I’m not asking some dude that I barely met first fucking financial help and I know for a man it’s even more so that way because men are supposed to be providers and they need to bring something to the table, so do women, but people bring different things to the relationship you can’t attract the best quality people if you yourself are not your best quality self you know take care of yourself and where you need to be first and then you can attract someone like yourself equal and even dynamic relationships that’s important you have to be coming from the same place at the same place and going the same place. It’s not enough for somebody to just be able to say charming words or make big promises not at all but some people are simple doesn’t take much and their self-esteem is so low they would settle for less so if they get some thing a little bit good, they think they fucking won the jackpot and they’re so afraid to lose it that they don’t dare question anything that's codependency and it’s an illness

I don't understand y any man or woman would trust a stranger on a dating website, when u don't know them or their characters . When they start asking for money, time to block . When we r growing up ,our parents always say, never trust a stranger

It's sad, scary and dangerous what people will do for love. I'm amazed how naieve people can be to get roped into this kind of thing. It's one thing to get scammed, it's another thing to just keep going and believing all the lies.
