- Shelton Benjamin says taking that bump off of a ladder through another ladder in the Money in the Bank match at Wrestlemania actually didn't hurt that bad! #wwe #wrestling #sheltonbenjamin

How you gonna fall through a ladder and say it was a piece of cake? Lol dude is amazing
cause ladder made of wood not a steel ladder
@@BLACKRULERSHIPHow does going through wood not hurt?
@@hensleymarsh1160 less painful then a steel ladder gimmick wood ladder dont hurt as much
@hensleymarsh1160 it's the same material they use for the tables, the tables don't hurt too bad either.
@hensleymarsh1160 wood tends to be softer and more flexible than steel, so wood is better at actually absorbing the impact of the fall than steel. Steel will break your bones before your bones break steel but not necessarily wood
Damm that was a crazy spot Shelton should have been world champ.
For sure. I hope he goes to AEW and I hope he gets treated like a king
@@Tru3Times he will wrestle maybe 5 big matches and then get lost in the shuffle
Can't, he's black
Fr they have too many wrestlers @@cowboyman7067
@@Tru3Times look how AEW has booked almost everyone else, it'd be a step down unless he just wants the money
"I was young, I was hungry"
Its a damn shame he never got the big push
Vince don't like people that look like him
The fact he’s so casually talking about falling 20 ft from a ladder to the outside of the ring through ladders onto concrete is crazy
and then he says "Piece of cake" as if that was a pillow LOL
lmao I heard JRs voice when I read that "from the top of that 20 foot ladder!!"
There are some paddings over the surface of concrete to absorb the impact, but still, it hurts as heck if you can't take the bump.
@@spidergoblin. yep. its called flatbacking. radiates impact out and away.
@@joshschneider9766 you're not gonna be able to flat back with a ladder between you and the ground
Most underrated wrestler of all time
aint that the truth.
@@joshschneider9766No, that was not Truth😅
@@randomlyfactual1943 look in his wiki and the official nwa history. He was nwa champ TWICE.
@@randomlyfactual1943 uhm Google it dude 😂
@@joshschneider9766 ayup. Love me some Truthie
Falling on the ladder didn't hurt?
You crazy, Shelton. 😅
cause those ladders are really made of wood
@@BLACKRULERSHIPIt hurts
he is the ONE dude who hung tough in collegiate wrestling with brock lesnar. of course hes bonkers lol
@@RZO-MAXPretty obvious it hurts but there's a big difference between a wood ladder than a steel ladder
@@BLACKRULERSHIP FYI, ( Not trying to be a know it all or a smart ass) but the ladders 🪜in wrestling are made of aluminum. Well I think some are made of fiberglass and some are made of wood 🪵.
people dont really think about it, but you are all looking at the ONE dude who hung tough with brock lesnar in collegiate wrestling, and talking about a time period where he wasnt too much older than that. This man is also a beast. never forget it. :)
That ladder spot goes down as most underrated extreme moments.
Cat say extreme but up there with Finn and ricochet levels of crazy mitb moments
It was a missed opportunity to make this man world champion! He's definitely underrated!
Gold Standard Shelton Benjamin was a highlight reel 🐐
Damn near every night you was going to get something special out of him
I always felt he was underappreciated and underutilized. You should have won more titles
Till this day I remember this clip I’ve watched at least 20+ times it’s genuinely insane how spoiled we was back then 💯😞
Shelton is made out of fucking steel
That money in the bank match is by far my favorite match
It was awful…. WM25 and 23 were much better. That whole WM was awful actually
@@JKRowlI bet he’ll change his favorite MITB match now that JKRowl has spewed his opinion out. Thank you for contributing your feelings
This spot lives rent free in my head amazing
I would be worried about missing the ladder
One of the most underrated wrestlers of all time...
I stopped watching right around when Shelton Benjamin made his debut in WWE. I just started paying attention to it again about a month or two ago, and not seeing this guy's run with them is one of my two biggest regrets of missing those eras. Shelton Benjamin and Bray Wyatt are the two I would watch for if I could go back in time.
Regrets?
I've got a few 🤔
I remember watching that as a kid and laughing because that took him out of the rest of the match
Genuinely the most underrated wrestler ever
Should have been world champ
Going thru a ladder, piece of cake.
Dude knows what he's talking about... Wrestlers today are scared to go thru ladders or tables... Like not even to have them on a Monday or Friday night. Shelton was a complete Daredevil 🔥 ✨
I remember feeling that he has so much to offer when I watched this and I was like 9 at the time finally glad some people are giving him his flowers
Chris, we will apreciate it if you interview shelton more✌️we love the guy, he's so underrated he deserve some spotlight, wwe might get him back again
Man look at Shelton… INSPIRATIONAL
The most underrated mid carder in the mid 2000s
Just built differently...piece of cake.
Triple H and WWE NEED to resign this man ASAP‼️
Him and charlie need to reforn team angle
It truly is a damn shame that Shelton doesn’t get the credit he deserves. I’m glad he’s getting some recognition now at least. One of the most athletic men to ever grace a wrestling ring
My favorite match I used to watch this match every other day at least once
Thats how you know wrestlers are tough as hell man.
"One rung hit me in the back and that sucked but going through that ladder from 15-20 feet up was a piece of cake."
A piece of cake?!
NAHHHJ
Best athlete and worker along with Dolf that ive ever seen!!
Carlito and Mr.Kennidy what a time to he a wwe fan
Dang I remember this one they had wrestle mania at the Orlando Citrus bowl back then
When you have a guy like Shelton Benjamin you can use his natural agility to make some amazing spots. The ladder in this clip or the springboard into the Sweet Chin Music or the running up a propped up ladder for a dive. Shelton is an awesome hand to have in your company.
“Piece of cake”. Legend
Maaaaan LISTEN
When I was 12, you couldn't tell me shit when it came to Shelton Benjamin 💪🏾💪🏾😤😤😭😭☠️☠️ THE GOLD STANDARD!!!!
I just can't believe him on that one😂😂😂
Excellent question, shelton!
I remember watching this live, he didn’t move after that one
The ladder accelerates downward with the falling body, greatly lowering the impact felt. Once you hit the floor, All that energy now shoots up into the body rather than continuing downward with it
Shelton Benjamin, one of the best in ring performer ever, describes Carlito and Mr.Kennedy as "my buddies".. Just to understand how talented midcard was at the end of ruthless aggression and how many missed opportunities we had in the so boring PG Era.
Shelton Benjamin never becoming WWE World Champion is one of the worst travesties in sports entertainment history
I was there that night,amazing!
He should have been in TNA. Imagine him and AJ battling for the TNA Champ belt on 07.
I think he was the first to actually go through a ladder, and then it became a staple in MITB matches
It’s not even the hometown thing. I’ve always been a huge Shelton fan. I hope he’s got a many more miles before he’s ready to be done.
While obviously not at their same level of fame within the industry, I think Shelton sits shoulder to shoulder alongside guys like Dusty Rhodes, Jake Roberts, and Razor Ramon in the category of "it's kind of a crime they didn't get at least one world title run."
Ive watched it 20 times looking for the rung that broke 😂
I remember that spot
the ladder ribbed him hehe. sure made that spot real to me sir. i absolutely did pop for that, 100!
Idc where it is I want to see Shelton wrestle more! I feel like he’s got a lot left in the tank
He is still great for his age....
The 5th member of OVW class of 2002
I wish he is hired by
AEW, TNA or NWA
And given a world title!!!
Or triple h hires him and gives him Whc
He truly deserves that
The main reason it didn't hurt so much was because WWE uses gimmicked weapons unlike other companies. Their ladders that are meant to break are made of pre-cut wood & their tables are pre-cut wooden props that can be put back together & reused. They put markings on the ladders so the wrestlers know which one is wood, which one is metal, and which one is meant to break. Kendo sticks are by far their most painful weapon since it catches air and snaps on your skin.
Man he was an beast and Brock Lesnar wrestling coach in college e
Shelton should’ve been world champion
WWE did Shelton Benjamin dirty
It looks still very painful
Did you ask him about his necklace
Can we bring back the black ladders instead of the sliver ones we have? I thought the black ones were way cooler!
The falling didn't hurt. It was just the sudden stop at the end that did it. 🤔😏
Shelton Benjamin should have been World Champion.Even Just for Two Months…
No way those ladders are made of metal . These dudes would have been paralyzed. He didn’t even flinch after hitting it
Kennedyyyyyyyyy
Honestly wrestlers amaze me honestly a bump that would change a normal human beings life and he’s like yea piece of cake imagine you falling thru a ladder from the top of another one you gonna need medical attention
All that athletic talent and all the WWE gave him was the Intercontinental title.
I wonder why🤨
Shelton should have been world champion.
How da he'll WWE release this man
Definitely had all the tools.
No ladder breaks like that. Must've been a prop meant to split just like the one on WM23 with Jeff Hardy and Edge.
Shelton would have been a great heel ECW champ, it would have made things alot interesting back then but I guess Vince just didn't give a damn..
Still dont know how mick foley was thrown from the hell in a cell.....even shane mcmahon
I really wanna know what these ladders are made of
He did things that champions did, but didn't get the opportunities that underachieving received.
Hoe he Shelton saviors that ladder spot the world may never know
This guy is an amazing athlete and should have been pushed to the moon, if they thought he couldn't talk or whatever they could have had a manager with him, they wasted this guy for years
He was blonde before Chris Brown
....okayyyy 😂
he definitely didn't get the push he deserves.
If WWE was concerned about his promo skills they should have gave him a mask and he could have just became the WWE version of suicide from TNA
Had to feel bad for him when watching those MITB matches he was in. Always a highlight in them, but never wins them, similar to Kofi Kingston with his Royal rumble stunts
HOW DO YOU LEARN TO FALL OFF A 20 FT LADDER
Wrestlemania 24 is top 3 Manias of all time for me it goes 1.X7 2.19 3.24
There's foam in the ladders?
Kennnnnnnedy
He sounds like a kaf guy best wishes Shelton Benjamin
Im still mad he was never a world champ, Vince really messed up with that one, he was THE GOLD STANDARD
WWE dropped the ball hard with Shelton. And Dolph.
Speaking of MR KENNEDY…. He looks absolutely terrible he had a match with JTG yesterday i think you should get him on the show tbh…. Mr Kennedy was once Vince’s chosen one
Live stunt men. Even though it’s scripted I still wouldn’t want to do half of that stuff lol
MITB was made for Shelton!
Howd you learn to fall off a 20 foot ladder?
Shelton not being WWE Champion at least once was as silly as Mark Henry never being WWE Champion.
Did he say “one rung” ??? What was that?
What wrestling match was this?
Shelton still looks like 28
Triple H, please reconsider him and have his run!
First of all, i will say in the last decade, Boston has become the Leafs biggest rival simply due to the fact that they've met in the playoffs so much and they're both very good teams and usually pretty evenly matched for the most part....but who doesn't love a Leafs Habs Hockey Night In Canada on a Saturday night?! Thats the shit I've grown up on! The Habs also step up when they play the Leafs and play us hard and so do the Sens, but the Habs vs Leafs Rivalry goes back over a century.
Ps. Fu*k Jack Edwards! Glad he's gone. 👊👍
Jack Swagger was world champion. Great Khali was world Champion. Also, Jinder Mahal was WWE Champion, Why the blue hell shelton benjamin never touched the gold?
WWE messed over his career
Love wrestling but it's a big magic show alot real..... A LOT FAKE OR STAGED
