@ollierobertson-kurd thanks. Well that's my 32km pace so not sure if it will maintain for the full 42km. Missing context I've done half marathons before and mountain running so was just a matter of improving fitness and technique especially lightening my stride
As an ex sprinter I would suggest running more on your toes for optimal speed at your fasted pace, however I have never done it barefoot so that could change how your foot impacts the floor.
I find that in order to maintain a faster pace for some ppl me included increasing the length of strides is easier than increasing the volume. Just tires you out less. I would recommend it to anyone looking to knok of 10-30 sec per Kilometer without increasing the strain all that much

The steps are longer when you increase the speed, not the opposite I mean, look at the length, he increases it when he goes faster, a common rookie mistake is to try to increase the length of your strides to go faster, so you end up running like 140 strides per minute when you should aim for around 180 (I committed this mistake myself😂) No I always try to go around 180, still I only can maintain 2:10 pace for 200m haha
Speed is your stride length x cadence. When im sprinting my cadence is like 200 and my strides are pretty long. My stride length jogging is like under 160😬

I've found out there is a technique where you can "infinitely" accelerate, you don't get a fast acceleration, but you get a huge top speed, the only thing is that it is dangerous since your body gets hot enough to make you die from heart attack or overheat your body.
