      Ehh. Its just a plane! I did weathering on mine. Hardest decision is when to put the front glass on to hide seams.

    Currently trying to build the monogram/Revell version of this kit. 80 some year old eyes and somewhat shaken hands don’t help. Than said I’ve never worked on a model like this where the fit of parts is a real pain..

      It is a fun model to build. There are fit issues, but if you take your time, it should look just fine when you're finished.

    Yo, just about to get this model tomorrow, i was looking at the instructions and it says “A” and “B” version, I get its for 2 different colorways of the plane, but how do I know when and when not to do the instruction step, sometimes its confusing, can i get an explanation?

    • @PlasticModelBuilder
      @PlasticModelBuilder  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is fairly clear. Its Mainly the nose glass and weapons.

    • @willgraham7378

      okay thanks, so when it shows “A” and “B” on the first page where the first step is, i should ignore that?

    • @PlasticModelBuilder

      What you do I think, is find where it says Jaunty Jo version or the Other version which I don't remember the name. Pay attention to the nose class and slight variations. Also I recommend joining some facebook modeling forums. People there can also help

    • @PlasticModelBuilder
      @PlasticModelBuilder  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      After putting the boxes on, attach the top bulkhead to the right and left bulkhead. Slide those through the fuselage. Then attach each bomb. I recommend letting each one dry for a long period of time before applying the next one. Then attack each one to the top of the bulkhead first, then the bottom.

      @@PlasticModelBuilder lol I'm talking about the part below the cockpit that like 90 degree angled piece I couldn't figure out how it went in there

    • @PlasticModelBuilder
      @PlasticModelBuilder  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ahhh. Take the 90° and put the top on it. It has a slight angle upward. The top is also the floor above it. The fit the two sides on it. That part I did right. You may want too weight it down somehow because its a tail sitter.

    What glue did you use? Just regular old super glue?

    • @PlasticModelBuilder
      @PlasticModelBuilder  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thin cement. Super glue doesn't have a lot of working time. It doesn't melt, but simply creates a bond.

    The sprew marks on the body is absolutely horrible. Why can't they figure out another way of injection, where you can't see them on the finished parts...

    As a ‘how to’ video this is pretty dreadful - you did a bare minimum of sanding on lots of those parts, leaving visible parting lines and sprue stubs. Washing the parts is rarely necessary as modern kits don’t use release compound and dipping in Future is a bit 1980’s - the current Pledge/Future isn’t the same as the original Future - there are better products available now. If you’re setting out to show people how to do stuff then you need to update your techniques and knowledge otherwise it’s the blind leading the blind..

    • @PlasticModelBuilder
      @PlasticModelBuilder  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching! The bare sanding is result of using putty after words, which is in the next video, so no need to do it all now when it will get done later. It never hurts to wash parts. Who knows what stuff they pick up along the way in the process of factory to home. If the idea of Future is to give the clear parts a shine, mission accomplished at an inexpensive price compared to other options. Modelers with far more experience than I still use it and swear by it. I would like to watch your videos though if you can provide a link?

      @@PlasticModelBuilder build models for you not for anyone else. I had fallen into the pattern of striving for absolute perfection in both my fantasy miniatures and scale models. This resulted in me finishing a scale model every 4-5 months and fantasy miniatures in 3-4 months. This then resulted in burnout. I strive now for good looking models bc they are for me and me alone.

    • @PlasticModelBuilder
      @PlasticModelBuilder  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well in Tims statement, he is only watching one part of an unfinished video. The end result and look is what is important. Every model maker gets to that result differently as you know. Even if Future has changed, it is an inexpensive product that delivers a nice result. If I were trying to win a contest, I might put more effort in, and months could be justified. Contests are more for taking a normal model and making something spectacular out of it. I use the rule of what the non modeller sees. It is simply a neat looking plane. They arent judging on how in spec the vehicle is since they don't know. Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching.
