i love you videos i love world war 2 metal detecting even though i live in united sates i will i could go metal detecting in germany or somewhere where ww2 took place but we do not got the money to go to a country like that so could you possibly send me something my dad would love to see world war 2 thing i am not aloud to join chanell dad wont let me buy stuff on internet.Well love this channel!!!!
This has me in tears! My dad fought in the second world war and he told me about a forest he ended up in . He said the Germans were approaching and bombs were everywhere, he lost many friends but was saved by an American soldier who hid him. My dad was 16 years old, he stayed hidden for around 6 hours ! Unfortunately my dad found the American soldier lifeless. This man saved my dad's life by giving his own. My dad passed away 2 years ago I wish I'd known about your channel then! Keep up your amazing work & thank you for showing us.
What a story! This is also what we do it for. To keep these memories alive, so thanks for sharing and thanks for the support!
a true hero god bless him and the soldier who saved him, im sorry for your loss.
I don't doubt you to much but this is the internet so if your dad fought in world war 2 at the age of 16 what age are you if this is true you are probably 60 or 70 and your profile picture leads me to think otherwise.
Edit: if you are not lying and your profile picture really is you than me thinking that your not 60 or 70 than take that as a compliment
@@SilvercreekAnimations my dad had me when he was 60! My mum was 38. I have 4 brothers and 4 sisters ' I'm the youngest 😊
@@SilvercreekAnimations oh and by the way that pic is around 2/3 years ! I'm happy to put another pic of me now although it's not much different!
The 25 pdr.field gun was one of the best arty.pieces made, versatile, easy to set up, accurate, well made and delivered a punch. The type made with the muzzle break was the most accurate. Good find, happy hunting
It's very haunting knowing that men were so attached to these objects and tools. I'm certain that some men before death, would cry out thinking nobody will remember me or find my kit. Only for it to be viewed by millions across the world. I respect you because you're essentially digging graves but with honor and respect for the dead. God bless.
I doubt the soldier would think of their kit before death. But it is highly likely that they had thoughts about being remembered.
@ItchyPilauBoto808 I said kit not kid...
Really?
You clearly have broad knowledge of the items you are digging. That gives your videos a large advantage both to you and the viewer. Thank you!
Thanks a lot. That knowledge has grown over the years. Learn by doing right? Cheers!
@@mdww2battlegrounds what is the name of the song in your intro on your story?
Amazing to see those boxes pulled out that haven’t been touched by a human in decades!
My grandfather was in the field artillery in Holland Germany and Italy! Cheers from Canada
You do a great job with your detail and knowledge along with showing videos of what you find. It separates your channel above the others. Most of all how respectful you are.
An idea of another video, make a video of your most interesting finds. I’m sure you have a super interesting collection. And what you do with these pieces of history. Thanks.
Love your videos
The “canvas around the ankle” is called a gaiter
Its amazing how quickly they are able to identify what everything is.
Keep up the work guys HISTORY never dies.
I have loved WW2 history I am so jealous that you have the land to detect where the Great War happened
Very interesting work you do, thanks for the history. I appreciate the way you show a comparison photo in corner of an actual piece of equipment. Watching 2020 from St. Louis
Great video as always! We have just received a PI metal detector to go even deeper, hoping to make other excellent finds for our ww2 youtube channel. This weekend I will go up the mountain for about 2 hours because I think I found an WW2 anti-gas mask under some big trees. We hope to make excellent finds like yours! Greetings from Italy
That's very cool to hear. You too, best of luck!
@@mdww2battlegrounds Thanks so much
Your videos are simply incredible to watch...for an Australian who normally finds coins, jewellery, chains, can ring pulls (by the millions), drinking cans...and you find SS Officer badges...
Amazing video ...thanks guys
Awesome artifacts 👍
Your with iron Mike he's a true legend
Fantastic video
Ticks are horrible! Glad to see u guys being safe! Awesome video again and awesome finds! 👍🏻👏🏻 -Sonia-
Thanks for watching. We'll try to be safe!
Great video, all those ammo boxes what a great find, thank you for sharing the history with all your fans!!
Man I wish I could be your cameraman just to be there in these places as you find things. 👍
Well I could definitely use extra set of hand to film! 😄
The small button is from the Life guards, an armoured unit, they are famously also the horse guards who wear the red tunics in London 👍🏻
Ticks when they touch rovince clothing"WHY IS THIS SPICY"

I've always wanted to go metal detection for ww2 & ww1 things. I've always been interested in stuff like that.
The buttons at 6:29 are British General service buttons ...... Great hunt guys !! ... Im also an Anfibio user
Incredible hobby you gentlemen have
Thank for sharing your finds!
Very nice job of bringing back history. I think the belts/buckles may have come off wounded soldiers. As an EMT if a police officer or solder has a trauma injury one of the 1st things I'd being looking to do is get gear, straps, clothing etc out of my way to work on the patient
Jouw kennis is ongelofelijk, fantastisch werk doen jullie. Super
Cool video with awesome finds! i just found that L strap buckle last week in my uncles garden!!! Im defenitly going back there.
Could you do anything from ww1? I know it’s a ww2 channel but it would an interesting episode to watch!
The Spike Milligan war memoirs are a good read if you’re interested in the life of a British WWII artilleryman.
I think you guys should do an expedition with WW2 HISTORY HUNTER!!! I LOVE BOTH CHANNELS IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE A COLABIRATION.
Hello, I'm from Portugal, another great video, I love this channel, it's 100% complete, they put images and they also have perfect subtitles, video idea: show all the things found from WWII please
Hey really appreciate the support! Will think about it!
The feeling of touching this history must be incredible. I cant even imagine.
Amazing finds ! Great video 🙏
Amo seus vídeos, faz com que voltemos no tempo, apesar de ser muito triste saber que muitos perderam a vida. Beijos do Brasil 🇧🇷
You can also put flea collars around your ankles for good tick protection.
You guys make the best metal detecting videos on TH-cam! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for appreciating our work!
honestly such an amazing channel, i hope one day to be able to travel to Europe and explore history for myself
Ótimo vídeo! Parabéns!

Thanks. You are very welcome!
Love the videos keep up the good work
Will do our best!
Much love from Greece
Always amazing finds, thanks a lot for sharing this with us and good luck next hunt 👍🏼
Thats not a british buckle that you found first. Its the inner belt of a US WW1 cartridge belt.
If I were there, I’d run the camera and fill back in the holes lol. So exciting!!!
Is it possible to take live ammo to a specialist to have it deactivated (remove gunpowder and disable primer) and have them put it back together so you can keep it?
You bring history to life. Thanks :-)!
Good job. Great video!!!
13:50 Cordite is not a fused, it is a smokeless power, used in guns propulsion.
It’s also in all that Mk7 .303 they keep digging up... I was taught to shoot with that ammo when I was 11.
Very interesting..! Thank you for your videos, I really loved it ...
Brilliant video mate i've been looking forward to a new video!!! Those boxes are fascinating!!! Brilliant finds!!!

Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦 Great that your finds includes British and Canadian field dress and Equipment. Cheers and great video as Usual!!
Thanks for your appreciation!
The buckle one on the left you picked up and the bottom long brass loop came fro the same webbing belt that went around the waist and had ammo pouches attached.
The incendiary grenade has phosphorus inside and burnt very bright used to illuminate the enemy and temporarily blind then at night. Very good video.
Cool, thanks for explaining and watching!
This guy is sooo cool
Great video
This would be insanely cool to do. Really good content, cool finds!
Another fun to watch and well edited video! :)

Echt super gaaf wat jullie doen mannen!

I would love to come do this with you. I live next to an old military base and love finding old bullet casings and such.
Love your videos been watching for a couple years now I'm from Australia , here we have a product called brasso that is what is used to polish belt buckles if you have brasso where you are it's awesome stuff to restore buckles and any metal objects

Great finds! You don’t see the British find very often. Very interesting. 👍🏻
Great Western Desert south and west of El Alemein about 15 -25kms, loads of stuff to be found.
Pretty cool!
Nice video and awesome finds!! Love it👍🏻
Cordite has a very distinctive smell when burned. Great video lads
I noticed that once and that's definitely true. Interesting stuff! Thanks for watching
Cordite was also used in .303 cartridges.
I like to call it boom spaghetti personally. 👍
Dont touch their spaghet
The “fuse” from that radio, is a piece of glass from a tube.....
And I think the batteries are probably capacitors, plus maybe a radio valve/tube.
@ what are you smoking
Well done! Thank you for another great video.
Thanks for watching!
Love it dude!
Very interesting video good to see some British items shame the boxes were empty. Good selection of buttons and buckles. Need to watch that cordite!!😎🐓🐓🇬🇧
Thanks for watching!
I use to work out in the bush and ended up with a tick on the end of my cawk once.
