    I’m going to leave this here so hopefully it helps everyone else that may have the same issue I did. During decreasing, when she says leave two stitches at the end of the row, she is actually leaving three and skipping that third one. That’s why during increasing you do three increase one row and two increase the next. That is also why (if you are following her pattern exactly) it does not look as small. If you don’t want to frog the whole thing, during increasing just do two increases each row. I went all the way to the beginning and searched through a bunch of comments to figure this out so I’m just trying to help everyone

      I was wondering why this was happening on mine, but I didn’t necessarily mind it being bigger cause I guarantee I’m not as petite as she is. Knowing why is a great learning experience though. Thank you.

    Is anyone else confused by the fact the the decreases by 2 stitches in each row but the increase 3 stitches in one row and 2 in the other? Might could be I was missing something but it ended up creating a sort of bulge or curve in my line ( I notices she has a slight slight curve in her work as well). I realized when I got to the back that I could just increase by two in both rows and it looks just the same as the decrease. I'd love to hear if anyone else ran into that issue and had a dif solution.

    • @madyowns
      @madyowns 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I just got to this part and came to the comments to see if anyone else noticed. it definitely is changing the sharpness of my neckline, I would imagine it will be uneven if both sides are supposed to mirror each other? I am going to frog and do an increase of 2 in both rows instead, if something gets messed up ill let you know once I get further into the tutorial. if you don't hear back from me again, the 2 increase worked as planned 😂

    • @lajla9177
      @lajla9177 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I just increased by two. I also noticed decrease with 5 loops in first part but 4 for neck and that her neck have like 5 stitches for neck but minę with all that math have 15. I also generally changed the project for 2,5mm yarn and added a hood xD

  • @ameliacuzmici883
    @ameliacuzmici883 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    When i decreased (on the front part) it wasn't as small as yours was. What did i do wrong?

    • @elleeyeellewhyy
      @elleeyeellewhyy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I've been having the same issue!! I think what's she's doing if u watch closely when she's doing the decrease at the end of row 4, I think she's actually skipping the very last stitch and starting the decrease with 3 stitches left. Thats why the triangular part on hers looks so much more steep than if u do it without skipping the last st. And then she also did the same thing for the decreases at the neck part and that's how she got it way smaller!

    • @lizziestransky7174

      I finally figured it out, I think. I'm using a different weighted yarn so take this with a grain of salt.
      row 41, instead of doing 3 HDC- I did two.
      For the ending rows, I also replaced the alternating INC with 2 HDC. It looks slightly off, but I think it's about as good as I'm gonna get.
