Thanks for making this! I've been struggling to figure out how to make a bolero without the front part. For the cuffs, you could also just crochet it in while working on the whole rectangle! You already measured and accounted for the cuffs before starting, so you could just start off your chain row with the number of stitches you need for the cuffs (using the smaller needle), then chain how many for the main part of it using the bigger needle, and finish with the smaller needle and the chains for the cuffs again. This way, you only need to seam the sleeves together :)
I actually do not recommend this method! This is how I tried making the pattern the first time, and I found it much more clunky to have to change my hook size 3 times/ row and found that it messed with my tension 🥲
Dear Yaejiyea, thank you so much for this awesome tutorial❤️❤️ I was wondering if it‘s also possible to use a smaller sized hook for the cuff sleeve? Like 3.0, or does it have to be a 3.5?🤗💕
i am SO excited to make this. my first crochet project and the thing that got me into crocheting was making a bolero and it’s great but looking back there were something’s that could improve so i’m so excited to try this pattern after crocheting for a while now☺️😊
i started this pattern two weeks ago and i love how its coming along!! though i started with 196 chains and its somehow shrunk to 188…im pretty sure i missed a few in my first rounds but fingers crossed it still turns out okay 🤞
hi, im trying to make this but with fine cotton double pull (only one i have) im on my 3rd row and noticed that it was short. do you know how can i increase the length without frogging everything? 😭
I'm just starting this and having this problem, did either of you figure it out? The first row took me 3 hours and I'm really struggling because now this 2nd row is like spiraling??
it's so cute! thanks for the great tutorial! i looked it up, and apparently shrugs have short/no sleeves and boleros have long sleeves. like how sofas have arms and couches don't
Love the design without the front panel ! I'm just a bit confused, you say to go in the third loop, but in the video don't you just go in the front loop ? I'm new to crochet so maybe I'm missing something here. Great video !
So when you look at the top of your work there will be a “v” which is your stitch. If you turn your work away from you, you will see a second “v” on the side of your work. You want to go into that bottom loop which is the 3rd loop. Hope that helps
It’s nice how you explain in detail every step ure doing. But I don’t understand the purpose in the decreases.... bc the backside is still lose against ur back.
It's not supposed to be tight on the back, it was just to cinch it in a little because I had made a previous version and without the decreases, the flap was much more apparent
Does the yarn size matter? I tried using 7mm yarn and i swear its not coming together right 😭😭 it keeps on curling and gets a lot of smaller than the calculated length as i go on to make more rows for the shrug panel
OMG!! finally one without the front panel😭 THANK YOU💗
Fr
Same reason I clicked on this video 😭
Wtf u guys r so smart I was struggling with the math part for a min…
😂😅
Mee too tell me plzz how she did

@yaejiyea ooooh i see :0
i ended up not changing my hook size and it turned out alright, just that my cuffs aren't a snug fit around my wrist.
I can't wait to try and make this! I already made a bow top so i think it'll go nice as a set 😍
Omg yes that would be SO cute now you're giving me outfit ideas ❤❤
YESS !! Can't wait to follow along once I finish my bow tank top. Thank you for your videos ! 💙

How many skeins of yarn did you use?
11:26 I really do understand the shrug panel guide. Is it meant to be every third loop from the hook
I'm wondering this too!!
I'm just starting this and having this problem, did either of you figure it out? The first row took me 3 hours and I'm really struggling because now this 2nd row is like spiraling??

Can you please tell how many meters of yarn is required approximately
doing this for my graduation due June 11 with limited amount of yarn. Pray for me
Now, I've decided not to do the FLO for the rectangle panel so that it won't take up much yarn
you’re so fast with these tutorials! ❤
I really love that all your pieces look so super well made 😻
I follow you on instagram and absolutely love your ideas videos posts and I have been waiting for this tutorial, thank you so much

Yea, it'll just be a bit thicker!

this is one of the best tutorials of all time. Havent made it yet, but just the way you explained the math
It’s nice how you explain in detail every step ure doing. But I don’t understand the purpose in the decreases.... bc the backside is still lose against ur back.

OMG! FINALLYYYY!!! THANK YOU❣️❣️

I think it was from H&M!
What do you think is the best beginner kit for crocheting
Unsure, I've never bought a crochet kit for wearables before!
First 🌟
I love it!! ♡
a first row that's made up of loops, and we did a half double crochet, does it count as a first row or not?
I usually don't count the chains as a first row, just the first row of actual stitches
