    Hello, I just received my heat press and I'm trying to set up and running into a wall. Was your machine hard to get started. I set it up like you said and not sure on a few things, like, when pushing the +/- button together how do tell when the machine is C or F and how long do you hold the buttons down. My temp light keeps blinking and ticking. Did this happen to you?

      @@sandybrickman1392 oh my gosh that's insanity! I'm using mine as we speak. It's so simple. Just plug it in, set the temperature and time and close the bar. Before you close it, twist the blue knob on the top to tighten or loosen the pressure. Make it so it's hard to close, almost requiring 2 hands to pull down. Put the material in before you turn it on and adjust the pressure. If you adjust it without a shirt in and then add a shirt, it might be too hard to close. That's it! I was just responding to a different comment where they asked me to rate it 1-10. I thought it would be easier to copy and paste my response for you: "I'd say like an 8. It works really good with temp and pressure and I've never had any issues with vinyl not sticking. What I don't like about it is that when you close the lid, the countdown timer doesn't automatically start counting down. You have to push the bottom button to get it to start counting down and sometimes I have to push it a few times before it works. I also don't like how it doesn't make a noise when it reaches zero. My heat press before that one would beep when it got to zero and count down as soon as you shut it automatically. Compared to my HTVRont auto heat press, this is way better. That thing has no pressure and nothing sticks on the first press."

    We received our Vevor 5 in 1 heat press last week. We have tried pressing vinyl onto a canvas tote which was the primary reason for the purchase. We did multiple presses, tightened down the pressure, but it still didn’t adhere properly. We noticed that the screws on top are not evenly pressing. The front three do not go down, making pressure uneven. Can you tell me how yours look when you press down? Do all the springs/screws press down evenly?

    Hi, Kerri! I noticed in your video that your heat gun did not give the same reading as the control monitor on your heat press. I have the very same heat press and temperature gun. My first vevor did the same thing....would not give a consistent heat temp with the gun. I sent it back and received a replacement. Using the same heat gun, it gives crazy readings as to the temp. Am I safe just believing the control monitor? Did you adjust the temp on the control monitor so the heat gun read the temp you want? What's crazy is the heat gun with give totally different temps, checking the plate multiple times. Thank you for your video, and if you have any suggestions, please advise.

    • @Cricuter
      @Cricuter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the temp gun is accurate because I tested it out by pointing it at my thermostat and the temps were about the same. I think the longer you leave your heat press on, the hotter it gets. I would try upping the temp on the control if it's not getting hot enough. I doubt it'll ever stay exactly at the right temp but if you can get it within 10 degrees I would aim for that

    I recently got this machine, coming from a 15x20 clamshell heat press. The thing that I do NOT like about this heat press is that the "shaft/pole" is very close to the press. I don't think there is enough room for a hoodie to be pressed on this machine. no matter which way you align the hoodie, the side where the "shaft/pole" is, is too close too the bed/plate, that you can't really lay the hoodie flat. have you experience this with the swing away heat press? any advice?

    Hello. I set up my Vevor Heat Press yesterday. My booklet referenced things that weren't even on my control panel, so I was kind of winging it a bit. I found out that the temperature seemed a bit low when I did my first test iron on. I also don't like the way that you can't tell how much pressure is being placed on the garment. I've seen several references online about using light pressure or firm pressure, but that's so vague. I had to press my practice t-shirt several times to get my iron on adhere. Plus, my timer never went down it's stayed at 30 seconds the entire time. So I just use my stopwatch to count down the time. This is my first time using the press, so I'm sure I'll get better with time but overall it was a fairly intuitive machine. I did find out that I need to reposition my heat press because it isn't getting enough clearance when I swing it away from my garment. Thank you for the video it was helpful.

    • @Cricuter
      @Cricuter  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree with so much of what you wrote. If you're new to heat pressing trying to figure out the pressure can be tricky. Generally speaking, I feel like you can never have too much pressure. The only time I ever run into issues is when there's not enough pressure. Unless you're working with a really delicate fabric like silk, make it heavy pressure. I tighten it so that it's hard to pull down and you need 2 hands. I actually hate my auto press because you can't adjust the pressure at all like you can with this machine and my vinyl never sticks. I also have issues with my timer not counting down so I do it in my head. I'm sure there's an easy fix for that I just haven't taken the time to figure it out.

    To turn off the beeping sound: while machine is off press and hold minus sign ( - ) and turn it on. It will show OFF on the display. Do it again if you want to turn back on the beeping sound, but in that case it will show ON on display. That's the way we did on our 5 in 1 machine. Note: it also turn off the time up beeping notification.

    My husband just ordered me one so excited! But got a question can I use my ink jet printer with it? And what type of paper do I buy for printing on

    • @Cricuter
      @Cricuter  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can use an inkjet printer if you purchase printable heat transfer vinyl such as this: amzn.to/3TWy0jm . However, I've never had good luck with inkjet ink holding up in the wash. I've made a few shirts and the ink always bleeds after I wash it. You're much better off with a sublimation printer. A lot of people will buy an Epson Ecotank like this amzn.to/48x8MN9 and swap out the ink with Hippo sublimation ink amzn.to/3O35E3b and sublimation paper amzn.to/48xAQzP. That's what i did. But Sublimation is like a whole new world of learning. If you're just getting into this stuff then I would start with cutting rolls of heat transfer vinyl (I love Siser Easyweed brand). Hope that helps and sorry for the delayed response!

      I'd say like an 8.
