    You've got to be happy to finally be out of the muddy subdivision yards and out grading rock again. lol
    Looking sweet, but not as sweet as your new excavator, saw it on Instagram, WOW
    Congratulations on the arrival of your new machine, it's a beauty. Wishing you hundreds of trouble free hours with it and massive profits from the work you'll do with it!

    We used 2 by 6 and 2 by 12 stained for frame on cement blocks 15 yards "shell marl" which settles down with each layer and about two yards of top decorative rock for our pad. We did it ourselves by hand in three years and will move RV on it soon. We didn't have the ability to rent equipment so we had to do it in stages.

      @@eliteearthworksllc I am moving the RV with a tow truck as it needs a transmission service. I wanted to move the RV closer to the house to get it worked on it's about 40 ft too far away. The pad is about 24 ft from house Then I'll start to hook it up to electric to see what needs fixing.
      I wanted a nice taylored look on the pad and since it was a low lying part of the back yard I raised the elevation a driveway is next to the RV pad

    • @eliteearthworksllc
      @eliteearthworksllc  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      thederrick1966 that’s annoying, those weeds were real shallow plus I put so much rock on those ends it will smother them out. It will eventually have more on top but they can be sprayed

  • @sassysaucysurviving7749

    They need some rail road ties at the end and then rip rap to hold all that gravel up there from the monsoons you have!

    • @eliteearthworksllc
      @eliteearthworksllc  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mrs. S.O.T. Metalworks yes I agree, they may do railroad ties themselves they said

    • @Anjanya1948
      @Anjanya1948 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly instead of railroad ties (we decided against them due to the chemicals in them near our beautiful palm trees) we made my " mock railroad ties" by connecting a vertical 2 by 12 to a 6 by 4 (made it 8 inches wide and 16 inches tall with half blocks in an area that once flooded but no more!) stained them and used clear flex seal spray on the inner side and River rocks next to sides and corners, (instead of dirt), to keep them good for a long time..and hopefully moisture free in the "wood rotting capital" (Florida)
      It gives it a real finished look and I put white river rocks as toprock and they look amazing! 😁

  • @SLCFarms
    @SLCFarms 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I’m hoping that the grass was at least sprayed first. Did they not want fabric or anything to further protect the investment of the stone? Looked nice when done. Do you normally not rough out the old area first to fluff the old stone up some?

    • @eliteearthworksllc
      @eliteearthworksllc  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      SLC Farms the grass was very shallow and plus I put about 12”-16” of rock from the middle to the end so that will smother those weeds out. And it had a good base it was going over. It will probably get more weeds on top but they spray those. Thanks again
