Thank You. A guy like me coming from Late Models in the 80s. This helps me understand how the new cars work. If we had tried this back then. We would have to figure out how to keep U Joints, drive shafts and resr transmission seals in tact
Glad it helped, be sure to check out all my playlists and videos. And if you want even more information you can get my full set up information and how to do it in a written guide that 64 pages long. It breaks down everything and I I have developed a sweet spot range that cars work in. If you in that realm you pretty decent just needing to tune to track and your needs. If you want more information direct message me on Facebook @ Dirt Late Model Tech Tips for more information.
So pinion angle is changed with the himes that the lift bar connects to the rear end. You lengthen one shorten one to get the desired angle while making sure that your lift bar in the front where the six coil goes is pretty close to level with the bottom of the chassis with the correct pinion angle give or take a quarter inch maybe even a half inch but you don't want to be a half inch lower then the chassis cuz it will pull down and can get into the dirt sometimes. If you check out the setup guide I go into great detail about setting the cars up and stuff like that to look for that's really critical though.
Always enjoy your videos wish you went live more but I get it I'm always working too I'm getting ready to rebuild a friend's no prep car he wrecked at the thaw out in Darlington he traded it to my brother and I he needed a place to hunt and we was looking to build a no prep car I got some ideals I'd like to run by you get your thoughts im not going to dig or die to be the 1st looser how can I get ahold of you thanks brother I enjoyed talking to you when you went live at Bristol
Hi Robin if you could message me on my Facebook page www. Facebook.com/dirtlatemodeltechtips and we can discuss your issues on corner entry As one can not just throw out solutions but can be multiple causes for tight on corner entry.

Wow that’s some pretty awesome how did Information man 👍
How do you adjust Pinion angle ?

It's hard to when I'm with a team as I'm focusing on their car or cars only. I need a camera person almost lol
Hey Dave, any tips on entering the corner @ Charlotte Dirt Track? Car is pushing way to much getting in. 604 DLM Ty!
Hi Robin if you could message me on my Facebook page www. Facebook.com/dirtlatemodeltechtips and we can discuss your issues on corner entry
As one can not just throw out solutions but can be multiple causes for tight on corner entry.
Hey man was wanting to look into your track adjustment guide. but unfortunately when i click on your link it just says "not found"
My apologies for that and not seeing you reply. Try this, Adjustment guide www.paypal.com/instantcommerce/checkout/9974U9XA5MTYS
Have you ever run at Talladega short track? We run 602s, love the track but it is so dry slick that even too tight doesnt seem tight enough.
Yes I have many times, have quite a few customers down there also.
How does a bump stop affect drive off
Now there are a lot of key factors missing. Like where is bump located, spring packaging, etc ... Along with how much bump you are using.
@DirtTrackDave load rate on right front is 600lb 175 14in. spring 3 1/2 in. of travel to the bump stop
The car lacks traction form center off till exit
Is RF soft? I don't like the soft RF trend DLM racing has currently. But please message me here for further discussion. www.speedydave10@gmail.com
@@DirtTrackDave yes it is soft
I have speed but lacking getting in the corner coming out of it fast
Can't put power down to ground, am I correct?
Very interesting videos. 4-link vs shock-torque-arm, which is faster, better traction, comments ?
Give me torque arm any day of the week more versatile than pull bar.
Versatile - meaning it'll handle changing track conditions during a race, or it's easier to adjust to changing conditions ? Thanks.
