It's important to clarify that when referring to the "untouched forests of Borneo" in our video, our intention was to evoke the rich biodiversity and vast landscapes for which Borneo is renowned. However, we recognize the oversight in not specifying that parts of Borneo are indeed managed for agricultural and industrial purposes, including palm oil and eucalyptus plantations. Such areas are part of a complex environmental and economic web that includes both conservation efforts and industrial use.
We are committed to providing accurate and insightful content and appreciate your input, which helps us improve. Thank you for being part of our informed and engaged community.

Thank you for your feedback! You're right to point out that the term "untouched forest" might not accurately reflect the current state of all areas in Borneo.
Our intention was to convey the contrast between the dense urban environment of Jakarta and the more natural landscapes of Borneo where Nusantara is planned. We acknowledge the complexities and changes the region has undergone, including development and conservation efforts. It's important discussions like these that help us all gain a deeper understanding of the topics we explore.

Your point is well taken, and it's important to clarify that when referring to the "untouched forests of Borneo," it's more about evoking the rich biodiversity and natural heritage of the region rather than suggesting that all areas are pristine or undisturbed. Borneo is indeed home to various land uses, including industrial forests dedicated to paper and tissue production.
Recognizing the complexity and diversity of Borneo's ecosystems is crucial in discussions about sustainable development and conservation efforts. Thank you for bringing attention to this nuance.

It is not untouched look at the ground picture and videos....neat row of Eucalyptus pellita trees...if you know your biology those are not native. It is tree plantation.
Edit: There are no indigenous people the most often mentioned Balik people were migrants to the area some traced descent to neighboring island of Sulawesi.
Lastly the city is also located in the metro area of Balikpapan and Samarinda. It is not remote location.

    • @thetvschannel
      @thetvschannel  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Thank you for sharing your insights, @abcddef2112. Your contribution adds valuable depth to our discussion on the Nusantara project, and we're grateful for the chance to delve deeper into your observations, enriched by our research findings:
Eucalyptus Pellita Trees: You've rightly pointed out the presence of non-native Eucalyptus pellita in the area, underscoring the environmental aspects we must consider in developing Nusantara. The project's vision as a sustainable city hinges on ecological integrity, focusing on native species in reforestation efforts and ensuring urban development is harmonious with biodiversity and environmental health.
Indigenous People: Acknowledging the intricate socio-cultural fabric, including the Balik people and other local communities, is indeed vital. Our reference to "untouched" areas aimed to contrast Jakarta's urban density with Nusantara's developmental stage, not to disregard the indigenous and local communities' presence or rights. It's imperative for the project's ethical and social sustainability that these communities are respected, their rights upheld, and their voices considered in the planning process.
Location and Remoteness: Our mention of Nusantara's "remote" location sought to emphasize its strategic choice away from Jakarta, rather than implying isolation. Positioned between Balikpapan and Samarinda, Nusantara is indeed within an existing metropolitan area, selected for its potential to foster balanced regional development and alleviate Java's population and resource concentration.
We appreciate this opportunity to clarify these points and recognize the project's intricacies. Our aim is to nurture an informed and respectful dialogue about Nusantara's potential and challenges, reflecting on its role in pioneering sustainable urban development.
Thank you once more for engaging with us, @abcddef2112. Your feedback is invaluable, and we eagerly anticipate further enriching discussions within our community.

Your point about the potential for disagreement or resistance from Western countries highlights the complex interplay of global politics and policy-making. Indeed, policies that challenge the status quo or introduce new paradigms might not always be met with approval, yet they can still signify important advancements or shifts in thinking.

It's so important for there to be transparency and ongoing dialogue about how these initiatives impact us all. What aspects of the project do you think could be managed better?

Transparency and ethical practices are crucial in these endeavors. It's important that there's oversight and open discussion about where the funding comes from and how it's used. What changes would you like to see to ensure these projects are carried out more transparently?

This city is built with huge ambition to make country to move forward. Nusantara ( name of a new capital) will became a role model for entire big cities in Indonesia, due to its green city design, ultra modern facilities, blue sky technology etc.
