    I wear clothes a few times before I wash them. I do not sweat or smell and I don't need to wash my clothes so frequently. Too much washing also destroys you garments. Don't judge just think about it.

    • @zvezdapadalica15
      @zvezdapadalica15 4 ปีที่แล้ว +29

      anellimm i definitely wear my shirts twice or even three times if I didn’t sweat in them or get them dirty! I also put a lot of my items on a quick cycle or delicate cycle. There is no reason for a shirt that I wore for 4 hours or jeans that I wore one day to be tossed and cycled for 40 min in the machine. The things that I only wear once before a wash are underwear, socks and sometimes pants/jeans. I totally get what you mean!

    When I go grocery shopping I get just 3 items. I set my timer to about 10minutes and speed shop. The last time I did this I was in and out of the shop within 7 minutes! By speed shopping you are less likely to be tempted to get more than the 3 items on your list, which saves both time and money.

    • @kirschblute8429

      May I ask you how often you go to the grocery store?

    • @samanthahardy9903
      @samanthahardy9903 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@kirschblute8429 I work in a supermarket most days so it's easier for me. If you live local to a grocery store or supermarket speed shopping for just 3 items each time can work. However, it also depends on how much you can physically carry when using public transport as well. If you only want to go grocery shopping once a month and you know which aisles everything on your list is located in the store, you can still set a time limit for shopping. Personally I don't drive.

I was a teen then and by the time i reached my 20s, building a career i knew i wasnt gonna be my mom, whose ALWAYS clean and orderly, awake at 5am to do whatever she has to do(yes, she was a working mom, who still manages to be there for all school activities for us). Its hard to admit that i cant do it all, that ill need help in many areas when i myself becomes a mom myself and watching somebody who has a lot on her plate do what you do, and share all these to the likes of us, thank you for the inspiration and aharing of knowledge.

    All these tips are super practical and I do quite a few of them already, and I picked up a few extra tips as well. My mom taught me to re-wear things, more to preserve their integrity by not washing them as often, than to save time, but it accomplishes both goals. We shower every day and wear undergarments, so many items can be worn twice. Lists are also such a great tool. I recently uploaded a few apps to help me not forget stuff and it has been really helpful for tracking non urgent purchases, I will just pick items up while doing other shopping rather than making a special trip for one item now. I also downloaded a wardrobe app and can take photos of outfits once I put them together and it keeps a great inventory for when I am having trouble choosing what to wear. You are very practical and helpful even for an old lady like me!

I would start saving it for evenings because I dreaded it so much, then that would turn into the next day since I'm usually exhausted by evening and so on 😫 so anyways, now we make a game out of it with the kids, and So Much gets done!! Also the 2 minute tidy that you mentioned in another video-we started both of those and just..amazing. the transformation is amazing . Thanks for these videos!

    So glad to see that there's a community of people like me. I feel the same way about showers. Everyday I do a "freshen up." Face, underarms, nether regions and feet. Unless you have skin issues that force you to, It's a waste of water and time to shower everyday and it's not good for your hair and skin. Especially if it's a hot shower. I wash my hair only a few times a week.

    The "get ready" tip is legit, I've been working between home and office, but now am confined to home, and I tended to wear my PJs all day which made me fell blehhhh, so I started putting on clothes (even something simple as a tank top and shorts, anything other than PJs) and I do my brows, and I tend to really kick butt all day!! Something about actually putting on clothes and then changing after work helps separate my work day from my free time too, so I'm not working all night!

    Thank you for the reminders on some of these. I learned a lot of them many, many years ago when i was working and I can't figure out why other people don't utilize them themselves. They just sit in the waiting room of the doctor's office and do nothing or they waste time watching TV all day. I'm always doing something even at home and I've been retired for a couple years now. Folding laundry while you're watching TV or even while you're on the toilet is a time saver. If you do it during commercials it makes you rush and the bathroom trick makes you rush even faster. Another trick I learned is to stack things even if I can't get to the cleaning right away. It looks so much neater.

    Hi Shea! I'm a big to-do list fan too, but I liked some of your tips (not that I disliked any, just that some I already used). Like you, some days I wear an outfit only for an hour or two, but what I do is that, while I will re-wear it (sometimes even for a week if it's only during an hour each day, and of course if it doesn't become stained or sweaty in the meantime), I NEVER hang it back in my closet with my clean clothes. I have a small bar in a nook in my room from which I hang my "worn but still wearable" clothes, or else hang them out on the line for a couple of hours, to air out properly. Just an idea, to make sure the clean clothes in the closet stay truly clean...

  • @ThePopcornia
    @ThePopcornia 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That nerdy "i make a todo-list even for my videos" smile you had made me klick thumbs up on this! A small tip from me is to just put more trash bags in by actually put one on the bin and next bag on the bag that's on the bin and third bag on the two that's on the bin and so on till it's about 5 on, that way i don't need to put a new one on all the time because one is already there when i remove the full bag. One bonus by doing so is if one bag is broken or have a hole you don't have a mess to clean in the bin because the layers of bags pick that up and in worst case you have to remove a empty smelly bag or just let it sit until you take the trash out next time. This metod maybe look a bit strange but by the time you remove the last bag on the rest has flatten out and it don't look so "ballonish" and you se how this tip makes sense :D

    Loving all the tips, I would love to try the 30 minute timer for the tasks you dread, usually I just distract myself and end up not doing any of it. Most of the time it is cleaning tasks to try to avoid but the game of doing it as fast as possible helps a lot. I like to put several bin bags ready in the bin so one is taken out and the next bag is ready made. I’m quite lucky my kids get them ready and they make their own food. Clothes are my main problem lol not a lot of space for clothes so I end up wearing whatever comes out the laundry and so I wear the same clothes when it’s fresh from there wash. When I had three kids in three years, delivery was a must. Cooking is fun but the cleaning took up most my day, now I create quick easy nutritious and delicious meals to get more time. I would outsource cleaning any day. Love the pod cast while in the car, love listening to audios you boost that motivation and gain more knowledge 💪

    #6 is something I swear by specially whether I have to do work at home, or its a slow day. I really dress up in what I call my "everyday home uniform" which are leggings or lounge pants, a cotton tshirt decent enough to wear out incase I need to run errands, sunblock, fix hair, and light makeup. It really "wakes me up" in every way. Infact on weekends I also get annoyed when my kids are still wearing their pjs by lunch. The other tip #11 about the 10 min fast clean-up is also so effective. Although I dont time myself, I do my clean-ups really fast because the moment I slow down Ill tend to procastinate and overthink what Im doing. Thank you so much for your tips!!!💕
