    The pulley doesn’t have to come off on the deck. You just take the belt off the clutch and feed it between the pulley and the bracket

    Hydro filter is right under where you stand and the belt comes off without removing the pulley. Trust me the Toro is the easiest maintenance of any mower.

    We run two of these, one being a multiforce and a normal grandstand. Both have super easy maintenance. The deck belt you don’t have to remove the idler pully, you just pop it off one of the outside spindle pulleys and it comes off easy.

    I’ve been waiting for this one! I run the toro grandstand. I have to say, I love the ease of use/ease of maintenance, cut quality. I have come to love the platform as well. I think your control bars maybe adjusted further back on this one. I feel like mine are more in the middle, and my reverse has decent speed as well. Thanks for doing all this, Pete! You’re the man!

      I’ve found the same issue on the hills, Pete. If you go straight up it wants to pop a wheelie. One thing I’ve discovered is I think it holds the hills better going side to side. I think this is a benefit of the open platform. I can shift my weight farther to the side.

      Agreed. It side hills better than any mower I've used, apart from the tracked Altoz TSX. It will lift the front end trying to uphills, especially on the 52", however, the 60" doesn't have that issue. I'm very curious to see how the hdx units do

    Being a scag man I had 3 grandstands and absolutely loved them. Excellent cut quality and a great commercial warranty.

      But the scag lays the best stripes

    Also worth noting, if you remove the 4 bolts on the black plate that holds the fuel tank in the fuel tank will slide straight out (even if its full) and then you get extremely easy access to the hydraulics plus the other side of the engine.

    Something on a Grandstand I love, fold the platform up and you can flip it up onto its back for more intense deck cleaning or painting. You remove the battery and tilt it back, or like I did replaced it with a lithium when the OEM battery needed replaced. 2 men can do it or 1 man can by using the small jack I keep handy for blade changes.

    My last mower was a toro timecutter bought from toro of Lincolnton, NC. Out of the box, striped and cut well. My hydraulics were a bit off. Took lots of adjusting to get in tune. Great mower overall.

    On the deck belt for the Grandstand. Start on the trim side spindle pulley, grab on the part of the belt closest the rear tire, this gives you leverage on the tension arm. Simply spin it off that pulley and you are good to go.

    Take the belt off the spindle closest to the deck chute then just loop it through between the tensioner pulley and bracket. I change mine out in about a minute. Love my Grandstand

    Great review Pete, I especially appreciate your observations about the turning of the inside wheel and the cut quality. For me, I think that platform is a great design, but it's a design that maybe can't avoid causing the wheelie effect, so I'm thinking weights on the front end, or if they designed the front end to be heavier, would be acceptable solutions. I agree completely with the blade belt issue. Thanks for all your effort with these reviews and I can't wait for the next one!

    They all have pros and cons, but for me it's which dealer is closets. I have a scag dealer 5 mins from home, all other are 40 mins plus away

      That’s the reason I bought my toro last year, toro dealer threethree streets away, and a dealer that does everything else is 30 minutes away two towns over.

    I was expecting you to roast the 22 hp Kawasaki compared to the higher HP and efis. My mowers have these and always wondered the hp difference

    • @austiny528
      @austiny528 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It goes to show that higher HP is not necessary on all machines. Toro is known for best power efficiency, so you can run a more fuel efficient engine while still getting a proficient cut.

    I'm currently in the market for a lawnmower, either 52 or 48 inches. As a first-time buyer, the dealer recommended that I get a Scag or Wright. Still, upon seeing the build quality, easy maintenance, engineering, and availability of parts of the Toro brand, I became interested in Toro mowers. However, I noticed they don't have any special offers compared to other brands. If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to share.

    Do you think having bigger tires such as 24x9.5 and bigger front castors and a havier frame would improve the ride comfort of the grandstand? everything else about it seems excellent except the ride maybe

      @GCITurf  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question. I’d have to have those installed and try it out to see if that would help. I reckon it’s possible

      @@GCITurf no they wouldnt fit due to the proximity of the deck and transaxle. i was talking about the grandstand hdx which came out for 2024 lol.

    The pulley dose not need to come off to put a new belt on, you don’t need any tools or anything, you could put a new belt on in less than a minute, easy-peasy.
