Built a b16 nitrous car back in the day. 13.1 comp, big cams with titanium valves, springs and retainers. Made 348 on the tires. Revved to 10,500. Probably the most fun I've had out of any car I've ever built.

Wow. I have a 2.0L B16 "Frankenstein" w/ turbo & intercooler. Won't do 10,500, though. Still an utterly dangerous amount of power for a car that light: 200 true wheel HP would be plenty.

Not really, they are pretty bomb proof. Only issues off the top of my head are the Z3 uses balance shafts on the oil pump, so it will start to cavitate if you try to rev over 8600rpm. If you want to rev higher its recommended to get a K20a2 or s2000 oil pump. You can find them already modified to fit online. Second is the 6 speed trans for the z3. 3rd or 2nd gear can be prone to grinding, but there is a few fixes for that aswell. Good engine forsure

One thing I don’t like about the Honda B-Series is that it turns the wrong way, which makes it unsuitable for a rear wheel drive car. It’s a shame, it could be awesome in a Morris Minor or Austin A40 if it spun the right way (clockwise). That said, people stick them in Austin Minis, Austin 1100s and Fiat X1/9s, so it’s not a total loss.

Its is now, but its a much better engine. The K20 Head is much better because it has up to 13.5 MM lift, plus the 2.7 crank that still allows it to 10,000 red line is great. The B16 tunes very easily to $140 WHP on pump gas, and will make upward of 500 HP in turbo with 400 ft lb of torque and red line at 10,000 rpm. So its an excellent engine and reliable also. Anything a Bike manufacturer makes is usually better because their expertise on head design is a daily thing.

Yes it does... b18 pistons also fit into a b16a block both are 81mm bore.
B16a head even fits on B20B blocks
When you put the B16a head on the B18C block you got yourself a Type R (B16B)
