@@MarkBatsonHobbydude007 You are welcome...I noticed a couple of first gen Camaros in the Petty shop....I have a soft spot for those, as I have a 1:1 68 Camaro sitting in my shop.
WOW, What an awesome place! What stuck out to me was how clean the entire place was, for a working shop that is amazing. Having been a machinist for 25 years , we always strived to keep our shops clean, but this looked hospital clean, lol. Fantastic video Mark, loved it.
Thank you brother!! Yes sir, the first time Amanda and went back we were blown away by the floors alone!! LOL (I can’t even keep my bench clean) haha Thanks again for watching!!!
Awesome! With every picture I let out an even more excited “WOW!!” lol. I’ve said for years I need to get down there and see the original shop. Thanks for the tour, Mark!
Very cool video Mark. Thanks for sharing this. The little sedan delivery could possibly be a mid to late 50's Ford Anglia. Fun fact, the suspension parts of mid to late 50's Ford Anglias were interchangable with Ford Pinto suspension parts. One of my favorite you tube channels is Petty brothers racing lots of cool Petty family history.
Big thanks Rick!! Didn’t know that about the Pinto suspension! Very cool! Yes sir, love Petty Brothers myself, in fact was privileged to spend some time with Mark Petty there this past Monday!! Awesome guy!! Thanks again buddy!!!
The wheel bolt pattern was different between the Anglia & the pinto. The Pinto had some sporty wheels & much better brakes, including optional front disc brakes. Very cool that you got to meet Mark Petty. @@MarkBatsonHobbydude007
AWESOME! Too bad i don't live in the area, i would be there just as much as u are. Very kool for giving us a tour of the shops. Keep um commin PLZ. THX for sharing.
Thanks my friend!! One or two folks maybe. LOL Yes sir, got my first nascar mechanics license in 1977. Started out on an asphalt limited late model team. We ran Novas and Camaros.
Question Mark: what year Plymouth is that Petty stock car you built with a trailer? Because you've inspired me to do some cool Petty Nascar builds, to add to my collection... But I'm going '64, '67, '69, "whatever year that one you built," '71, '76, "cause that was my first live Nascar race!" And I'm very tempted to build a couple of the last cars he raced, before retiring from racing? I guess I've been bitten by the Petty bug? "Not a bad bug to get stung by huh?" See ya next time brutha... 🏁
Thank you Jeff!! The car on the trailer is the 1970 short track car. I started with the Monogram/ Revell 1970 Roadrunner. My videos on that built are back about a year ago. I have the 1967 on my list as well! Hard to escape that Petty bug bite! LOL Have fun my friend!!
