Thank God for the legacy of the late GREAT Apostle Arturo Skinner and Deliverance Evangelistic Center Inc. I am proud to have been a "Deliverance Baby"! I would walk by my self ( I was the only one saved in my household back then) 2 1/2 blocks at the age of 8 years old just to get to the Sat & Sunday services in Brooklyn 785 DeKalb Ave Brooklyn NY!
I grew up in the Deliverance Ministry in 1974 at the age of 10 years old as well. Deliverance Prayer Revival Tabernacle 306 Somerset Street, New Brunswick, NJ under Pastor Elois Bellamy. I never got to meet Apostle Skinner but I do know all Deliverance ministries followed his protocal to the 'T". Every Tuesday night all of the Deliverance Pastors from far and near would have to go to the Temple at 621 Clinton Ave, in Newark NJ to meet with Pastor Ralph Nichol. As a child I remembered the line of Pastors against the wall going in for their consultations. Pastor Bellamy is my God-mother and still preaching Deliverance today. What is happening in ministry today is not what I am use to. We operated in decency and in order and in the SPIRIT of EXCELLENCE. Church was about getting saved and then getting to work. "Work" meaning, going out into the highways and byways spreading God's word to the broken hearted, and deseased. What happened? I thank whoever posted the hour of Deliverance broadcast. I am truly touched today with the nostalgic anointing of God.
I witnessed the miraculous power of God in his services at DeKalb Ave. I also cannot forget Evangelist Sproon singing "Saved by His power Divine." If anyone has recording of that song being sung by Evangelist Sproon would you pls post it. It was very anointed that's why I remember it over forty years later
There are still people that keep Deliverance alive and its only a matter of time before all Apostle Skinners prophecies come to past. He is surely missed. God Bless
A great man of God he was. I never got to meet him, but my grandfather Apostle Willie S. Darden speaks highly of Apostle Skinner and his teachings. I've even seen footage of my grandfather traveling with Apostle Skinner overseas. Wow! You talking about something anointed. I wish I could convert my Apostles old films because people need to see the anointing that was on Apostle Skinners life and the miracles foreseen come to past.

I am a 'grandson' of Apostle Arturo Skinner's. I was saved under the ministry of the late Pastor Richard Glover, Pastor of Latter Rain Deliverance Evangelistic Center, in West Columbia, South Carolina, a son of Apostle Skinner's. Now, I am under Pastor/Apostle Dana Holmes, another son of Pastor Skinner's. I never met Pastor Skinner, but oh how I love to hear the stories about this AWESOME, GREAT, ANOINTED Man of God! I love him and cherish his memory, as if I was there in Deliverance in NY and NJ myself! I grew up being exposed to the ministries of the late Pastor James Hilton, Apostle Lonnie Sessoms, Apostle Ronald Brown, Pastor William McClain, Pastor John Owens, Apostle Idell Cheever, Apostle Ralph Nichol, etc. All of them were sons/daughters of the GREAT Apostle Skinner. Lord, how I wish I could have met this AWESOME man! As long as I live, I will NEVER allow Apostle Skinner's memory die!
LAWD HAFIS YA MERCY!!! Apostle Arturo Skinner is Truly Missed.... These were the times when HOLINESS WAS RIGHT!!! Coming from Paterson N.J. every Tuesday night my mother would pick us up from school and drive straight to 505 Central Ave in Nwk. N.J. where as a child(2nd grade) we witness POWERFUL, ANOINTED SERVICES!!! Also 621 Clinton Ave. (There was so much we saw)Lined up all along the walls were People in hospital beds, wheelchairs, crutches, etc. Demons talking/laughing (very scary as a child I might add), Also Crosses appeared in all the windows and lamps outside around the church( Public Service shut the lights off and the Crosses were still there Shining. Many Miracles and Deliverances happen in those 2 places. Even as children we knew Apostle Arturo Skinner was a REAL MAN OF GOD. (I shall never forget). I had the Last Album He Preached "I FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT" wished i still had it...miss those songs... (If Anyone Still have that Album would you be so kind as to PLEASE post it, Along with the SONGS on side B). SOME songs that I remember were 1.How Tedious and Tasteless 2.All that's left it's time to live for JESUS 3. If The Lord Would Come Today 4. Jesus will carry you through it was more. My cousin and I were caught trying to walk by the church and go to the pizza place at the end of the street...Those where the days...ps..and we paid the price for being caught..lol..praise God...for Deliverance is taking the land...now I'm preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ...
my pastor also speaks very highly of this man, bishop james e hilton, he was under apostle skinners leadership 4 many years and followed his ministry very closely

@justsocool2 I totally agree with you!!!! God really wants to move, but most folks are not ready!!! This is why a lot of ministers settle for hearing sermons that tickle their ears because they don't want to Repent of their sins, or tell th people the TRUTH!!!
This was truly a Great Man of God. I loved to hear him preach and listen to the Choir sing.He is greatly missed.

I also attended at 785 DeKalb Ave. Pastor Skinner married my parents in Newark and christened me in Brooklyn .
