Oh Voddie, how true those words. Im 90, i am miserable that i can no longer, for several reasons, read the BIBLE. I listen to very few preachers, fortunately for me, you are one of them. But I need to listen, more than once a day because I need the word of God every day. Every day i learn, I never want to stop listening and learning. I am so grateful to have God the Father His Beloved Son the Lord Jesus Christ and the gift of the Holy Spirit in my life. Thank you for this Blessed sermon. I am 71 years old. I have been a Christian for at least 30 years. I have never heard such a clear and precise tying together of the world, the flesh and the devil. Yes, an oldster can learn new and encouraging Good News.
My family has made a business off of embarrassing one another through Christ and their Entertainment thru Army Clauses! Very encouraging to hear.

I’m Eastern Orthodox Christian and it’s so refreshing to see a Protestant leader who’s not effeminate, cucked, and sold out to the social BS of modern society (LGBQT, wokeism, female clergy, etc.) Voddie really embodies what a Christian man should be: Robust, masculine, confident, well spoken, humble and well dressed. Churches and communities need powerful leaders like him that are learned men and aren’t afraid to enforce our Christian boundaries against Satan and the World. God bless him.

There are different Lutheran denominations. Some still hold to biblical truth. On TH-cam there's a guy with a channel called ask the pastor from curryville (I'm probably spelling it wrong) Texas, and there are others too. I think the Missouri synod is the one that has held to the bible instead of selling out to modern culture. I hope I got that right.

I always knew we were sinful by nature. But I didn't know we were THIS SINFUL. Now I know why I slack in my prayer life and in reading God's Word. So grateful for the sermon. Praying that many more will discover this sermon.🙏
This is a comfort to hear, the more we understand our true nature we die to self so that God is glorified more. We grow closer to God when we deny ourselves able to pick up our cross and focus all the attention to Him

I've listened to this sermon a number of times now, but without commenting. However, I feel prompted to do just that now. This is one of the greatest sermons I've ever heard since I got saved, and it has impacted my life greatly. And if you've ever shed a tear "Due to God's conviction" while listening to this sermon, then we share that in common, coz I've done so a number of times as well.

@@masimba5000 a sermon is speech about a religious topic. You only get out of it what you’re willing to get out of it. To an unbeliever, the things of God sound like foolishness, but to the true Christian they are Gods very words that breath life into us and cause conviction of sin. Sin separates us from God. We all sin so we are all guilty. We all lie, we’ve all stolen in some way, we’ve all had inappropriate thoughts. The punishment for sin is death according to the law. Jesus paid the penalty for sin when He died on the cross. We stand before God, the ultimate judge as guilty. But when you trust in Jesus, he literally pays our fees and charges so to say, so that we don’t have to.

Im so tired of my flesh, I'm so evil i don't want to deal with it anymore, i keep betraying my Father. I feel hopeless. I always question His ways and fall into sin because of it, and realize that I should just trust in His wisdom even though things seem unfair to me such as original sin. Please pray for me that I would just trust in Him and not myself

When I was 15 years old, I went to look for God in a Catholic church near my house and at the very first visit I knew that it was all fake. Then when I was in my 20's I got saved by reading the Gospel. Nothing else to the cross I bring!! Alleluia Glory to God.

Growing up in a society which is heavily influenced by the prosperity gospel, charismati cand word of faith movement, I was told not to hear sermons by preachers like Dr Voddie, R.C Sproul, John McArthur..., so I was scared of listening to this for long time
But now, after I heard this sermon multiple times I was able to see my true self for real. This changed me. The gospel changes

Every message is about the Gospel. Every argument is supported by scripture. Lord, please give us more teachers like Voodie Baucham so we may better understand who You are and who we are to you.. He makes me want to move from NY to Texas.

I thank God for giving me the father i had. I strayed away in my younger years and came to realize the error of my ways last year. I remembered who my dad would listen to, found Ligonier and now found Voddie. This man is truly doing the Lords work, preaching the gospel with all the fear of God. Despite his upbringing, God had a plan for him for THIS time in history. Praise God for preachers like this man
I thank God for Pastor Baucham. This is exactly what I needed to hear this morning. I've been struggling with my faults, trying to everything I know and I've been in a ditch on one side or the other always failing and wondering why. I understand now that I am hemmed in with no to go. Romans 7:13-25 makes perfect sense now o wretched man that I am, who will deliver me from this body of death. Thank you Lord God for your grace for without it I am without hope. It's time for me to realize I am seated with Christ in the heavenly places
and concentrate on that, for that is the only way to walk in this earth according to the spirit not the flesh. Thank you Jesus.

Frank, your honesty is very refreshing. Have faith. These men are casting folks under the Law, even though it may not at first glance seem like it. Please I’m asking you to pray about this message. I made it for others as soon as God saved me. I’m born again.
God will lead you. The Comforter will lead you into all trueth just like God tells us.
These two lessons by John Doerr on what it means to truly be born again are very liberating! The Trueth of the real Jesus Christ’s gospel of grace toward the sinner has been hidden by Rome’s Jesuits and scholars, who work tirelessly to cast doubt on the Word of God. The so-called pleasures of this world hold no attraction for me. The Holy Spirit of God is all consuming - and I am consumed completely. My every thought is about Him - His complete and total awesomeness - my absolute love and devotion to Him. I am of the original Woodstock generation. The rock giants of the 60’s and 70’s that I grew up with and the great muscle cars that I loved so much find no place with me anymore. I have absolutely no desire for anything of this world and this life. My only desire is to praise Him - to worship Him - to serve Him - to bring honor and glory to Him in whatever small way I can through my little life - my mundane, invisible life. I have nothing - yet I have everything. I am overflowing. He is my life. Without Him there is no life. He is life. When you come to that point in your life when you finally see there is nothing else - only God - you know - you absolutely know for certain that you are in Him and He is in you. Praise God!
I just discovered Dr. Voddie Baucham today afternoon! Already listening to him. A breathe of fresh-air. I enjoyed this sermon and the way he articulated this complex issue. Interesting that at 38:06, Dr. Baucham quoted the Council of Trent's...Canon 6 & 11. He goes on to point out that these teachings, plus other evangelical teachings, do not preach the same Gospel. And, that Gospel is that unless we understand the nature of our depravity, then we understand the mechanism towards our salvation through God's grace. Understanding the nature of our depravity will also help us to understand the spiritual warfare, that our physical bodies are fighting against. Thanks so much for this! 🙏🏾

Son, The Holy Spirit= were made in His image/Likeness The flesh (Christ God was manifested into the flesh) our soul (The Father we can’t see Him but we know His ways His plan His personality. (The Holy Spirit) our spirit that belongs to God. One of the Best sermons of sin and our sin nature I have heard. I have listened to this three times and I still get something new every time. When I did a personal bible study of the 10 Commandments, that's when I understood how bad I needed a Savior and a was sooooo thankful God opened my eyes 👀 to my sinful nature and why I have to study daily to keep my flesh in subjection to God's Word. This sermon just confirmed what God showed me during my study. Thank you Pastor for not compromising God's Word. This man has opened up my understanding of my salvation. For almost 56 years I lived in fear that I had somehow messed up my salvation.
I was raised hard shell, primitive evangelical Baptist.
I swore, once I left home that I would Never taken the door off a Baptist Church ever again. Except for weddings and funerals, I kept to that.
But TH-cam fed Voddie Baucham in its algorithmto me and it changed my understanding and erased my fear.
Just the relief of knowing that I played no part in my salvation means that the only being responsible for my salvation is God Almighty.. And God doesn't make mistakes which means that I Am Saved! Praise God Almighty, I am Saved.
Praise Jesus!!! I’m so glad for you! I believed I had messed up my salvation too. No matter how many pastors I spoke to I could not be convinced. In due time theLord showed me that I still had my salvation. But those of us who have lived in that pain understand better than most how great a salvation we have!❤❤❤

Sin causes these thing no one is exempt form hardships in this life, but we have a Heavenly Father who helps us through hardships.

I worship in The Seventh Day Adventist church, the only church that teaches to believe and obey The Whole Bible. Jesus himself wrote The Ten Commandments; how can it be possible not to believe it!! Exodus 31:18, 32:16. It's written; in heaven we will be worshiping on The Sabbath Day, Isaiah 66: 23. And what about Revelation 12:17, and 22:24. How can people be soon blind?

A Phenominal Sermon, as expected from Voddie. I have watched it countless times. But what stood out to me was how almost all of the congregation is reading his Bible and hanging on every word the Preacher says. Just beautiful!! If only this generation had a similar passion and desire for the Scriptures and for God.
