looks pretty fancy. definitely feels like it could be home for a small family. but compared to other houses: whiterun's house can't really compare to the others and we all mostly use it for storage. Riften's house is pretty neat and cozy. feels more of a house for loners than for guests or groups of people. Markarth has one of the finest looking houses. well insulated, decorated and a good amount of room. its perfect for having guests around. windhelm's house though is my least favorite. too open and dark inside but good for gear storage.
Jasper McGlynn typically houses get a well furnished room for the house carl, considering it’s the most expensive house it should have something better
Personally, I think this house is too rich for my liking, it reminds me of a musium or something. The Markarth house is big and nice, but sort of dark. Hjerm (windhelm) is a good size, I like the cabin feeling, and is comforting. Breezehome is too small, Honeyside is alright. But I favorite Hjerm.
if you completed it, i'm not sure but i believe the new jarl gives you the option of buying the house after helping out the steward and towns folk. if you havent done the civil war questline yet, just do the typical procedure of becoming thane
A good glitch for earning money is a combination of the ''Do Not Delete'' box and the escape whiterun glitch, via the barrel to the left of the entrance
@11Switchblade When you get up to a higher level, you get more valuable loot to sell which helps. I'm at level 43 and if you loot carefully (for example - check everything and everybody for coins - every little helps.) then it doesn't take too long. Another tip is to carry everything of high value that you can when in a dungeon, I'm almost always on the edge of being over encumbered lol - but as soon as I'm done in a dungeon I always have lots to sell. Easy to make monies! :D
The house is awesome. I was contemplating moving my family out of my built house and into one in a hold. I like this one, but I think I'll go with Hjerim (spelling) in Windhelm. It's all wood and warm feeling xD
This is the best layout, the Alchemy lab and Enchanting table downstairs with the weapon rack, and mannequins and plaques make it feel like the war and magic room(but the thanes room is a bit crappy). Other then that the rest just sort of reminds me of a Ferrari, not really much point of it, just there because it looks nice and you can afford it. I will just get the Whiterun house first I think.
@krickles17 east of whiterun, under a mountain. You can bring up a marker by selecting the quest in 'Miscellaneous' Or you can follow the river from whiterun eastward, along the the north bank and turn north when you see the marker on your map.
Try having two kids, a small fox that one of them found randomly, fully dressed mannequins, fully equipped sword wracks, filled bookcases, and the sword mounts on the walls. It definitely doesn't feel empty, trust me. I even have the housecarl for solitude living in there because I use a different follower. It's actually sick, trust me
@crazychainsaw007 It is ... kind of, but really it doesn't matter as well. You don't really have to abuse the enchanting/alchemy loop in order to make pretty much any armor capped. I personally use Ebony on my sword and board widler with a mod to give it a gold overlay. It is armor capped so wearing daedric or dragonplate wouldn't do me any good.
I already have the Riften, Windhelm, and Whiterun house but I am working toward the solitude house because i like the scenery and the weather , the wife should be happy there. lol
But if you're going to do the Dark Brotherhood quests, DONT FUCKING KILL THE NILSINE CHICK WHEN ITS AN OPTIONAL PART OF THE MOURNING QUEST. Then it fucks up one of the side quests and its impossible to get the Windhelm house, which is super badass.
Hey when you go to buy the house after you say ill buy it and he says wonderful click off the conversation and use the slow time shout, put all your money in a nearby container and when eerrthangs done being all slowed down you get the house and get to keep ur monies :)
If you want my opinion I think the house in windhelm is the best. It has more spaces for storage but..... There are some bugs with the house like there's a quest and can buy house until done,( I would recommend to look it up) once you buy the house the wepon plaques might not work, just load and I should be better and the dagger cases don't work well... If you put a dagger in it you can't get it out I'm hopping Bethesda will fix it, but other than then hjrim is the best house.
I know that the war was kinda "serious business", but, if you think about it, the Legion only had Imperials and mercenaries in it. The Empire's army was small, and the Nords in Skyrim didn't join the fight because they had a long hatred with the Imperials. The Nords' only fault was not helping the Imperials while there was still time.
@ReconTrout Not really, I don't really like the Solitude house either. I'm kinda stuck between Hjerim in Windhelm and the house in Markarth. Windhem's got more display opportunities, but the dwemer acupuncture is simply amazing.
If you clear out the abandoned house in Markarth as a mission, and then do what the god tells you to do in the basement you can keep the house. So now I have Whiterun, Markarth, and solitude
@EvilLamas Elven equipment isn't worth much. Try raiding some dwarves ruins and smelt scraps of dwarven tech into bars. Dwarven equipment is worth much more then Elven. You also get a lot bars per run.
@crazychainsaw007 yeah but if you have a enchantment that increases the ability to upgrade armor (forgemasters fingers for an ex.) you can upgrade dragon bone armour past legendary. Alot easier than daedric because you require ebony ore.
@SuperMick001 Mine does the same thing, but I found a way to fix it. Put armor on it, and exit from the menu, go back into the mannequin and put a ring or amulet on it and back out again, go back into it and take the ring/amulet off them and the armor should become visible? But be careful, because sometimes this duplicates whatever you put on and take off, I have about 10 ebony shields from this.
the dark brotherhood sanctuary isn't a real house. you can't move there with you wife, you can't get a housecarl and you can't send your children there. so i recommend you either build a house or you use the Solitude house(although i think the one in Windhelm is better)
@evanzsayz Or he could of done the dark brother hood quest, at level 20 i had 19k from dragons and the brother hood gives you 20k from the last quest itself.
@ArnacMGS if you join the dark brotherhood and do a few of their missions until you assassinate... someone of high nobleness... (don't want to spoil too much haha) you'll get 20 000 coins so that should be a good investment to the house (:
I don't hate Imperials, I just think they're too haughty, just like the Aldmers. Oh and BTW, I've played the game with: 1)Nord 2)Kajiiti 3)Argonian 4)Breton
point of weapon racks, armor stands is...? i get that the enchanting table is good since whiterun home doesnt have that, but then why shouldnt riften house be the best? it's the cheepest house that can have an enchanting table, i dont see the point of size either. i'd rather just have all things in one place
@DocAhqua my one character has the one in windhelm its very nice inside the only issue i had with it was doing a quest in order to be able to do anything with it bllod on ice quest after i bought it from urlic's guy.
+kar muts just keep playing, or you could keep getting "Well Rested" or "Rested" or "Lover's Comfort" by sleeping for at least 8 hours. Check this wikia out ^^ elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Rest_(Skyrim)
25000, that's like more 1080 graphics cards I dunno what to do with! why so fucking expensive? you have no idea how many dragons I might have to kill for their bones to sell.
@PO7NT Hjerim sucks cause it's full of bugs the best home i think would be Vlindrell Hall in Markarth it's easy to get it doesn't have a lot of bugs and it looks quite nice plus when you exit you get a great view over markarth
I know, but, what i want to say is that the Legion brought the fight to someone who simply didn't care about the Empire and his fate. Of course there were Nords in the Imperial Army, but they were mostly mercenaries, who fought for money and glory, and those few Nords generals were no different. Nords' main concern was their homeland and traditions, not the fate of a decaying Empire. That's their only fault in the war: they didn't help while there was still time.
ok here is a tip, before you buy the place, look at the cupboard nearbye, buy the house exit the chat use slow time, then run over to the cupboard, put the coin in. after that you saved 25 k gold
@ArnacMGS It isn't that hard, you can always just go out and hunt dragons and go through caves and the loot that you get from them will go for a good sum of money, alchemy makes a lot as well, and when you get married your partner will set up a shop (though she will not go anywhere, sounds a bit dodgy to me XD) where you can get 100 gold a day. Hope this helps!
whats the point of armor stands? i'd say the home in whiterun is the best, alchemy table+very close to full blacksmith and if you want to enchant then go to dragonreach
Thank you for this show. Was considering buying the manor, but now I see it's wildly expensive like everything in Solitude, and I don't really like it inside.
I have all the houses except Markarth and the solitude house is great and i love the area but i dont like the super bright lighting that would be in one corner of the room
Don't buy the solitude house you are better off buying the windhelm house because it's cheaper ( I think it's 13k full upgrade an this is 35 full upgrade) it has 3 armor stands and it's smaller which makes it easier to get to your chest and stuff.
Even the reward for killing an emperor won't pay for the house outright.
I don't agree with you: I managed to save for this house + all upgrades in less than 5 days and that is without any mortgages 😁
Call me crazy, but i really like the Arch-Mages quarters in The College of Winterhold. It's compact, free, and has everything you really need.
sometimes simplicity is best
Same
But, you can't have children 😢
looks pretty fancy. definitely feels like it could be home for a small family.
but compared to other houses:
whiterun's house can't really compare to the others and we all mostly use it for storage.

windhelm's house though is my least favorite. too open and dark inside but good for gear storage.
Stan Cipher riften has spooky manakins in it unless you get rid of them and I don't like the one in wind helm because of the murder it had there
I like this house but I still don't understand that one room in the basement with the bed roll
Same! It could just be a guest room for your housecarl, but I use it as a storage room.
Ask your follower to become one. Not sure if they all do this, but Lydia for sure. Just initiate a conversation.
I use it for slave quarters my guy.
Jasper McGlynn typically houses get a well furnished room for the house carl, considering it’s the most expensive house it should have something better
Slaves
I wanna live in solitude but the heartfire houses are a lot better
Same
Fuq solitude houses I can buy like 2 and im only lvl 36 the markoth house is 10 times better that solitude shitm
This house gives me oblivion vibes. :)
I slowed time with shout, put money I'm the drawer as he handed me the key and now have a free house :)
WHAT HOW
Good thing there is a dresser behind the jarl's servant (put all of your gold in dresser or chest before your money is taken)
still works btw
@@stonefaceBRC will always work (unless you have USSEP)
Personally, I think this house is too rich for my liking, it reminds me of a musium or something. The Markarth house is big and nice, but sort of dark. Hjerm (windhelm) is a good size, I like the cabin feeling, and is comforting. Breezehome is too small, Honeyside is alright. But I favorite Hjerm.
Honey Dew i prefer Lakeview manor
Honey Dew winterrun cozy everything you need in a small space its not like you live stay thier for ages loot in chest back to adventuring
Honey Dew I some what agree
U want that house then do the quest blood on ice and you’ll regret that decision
@RacerX640 The living room decorations furnish the area outside the bedroom and the downstairs as well :)
I just need somewhere to put all my unique weapons
if you completed it, i'm not sure but i believe the new jarl gives you the option of buying the house after helping out the steward and towns folk.
if you havent done the civil war questline yet, just do the typical procedure of becoming thane
A good glitch for earning money is a combination of the ''Do Not Delete'' box and the escape whiterun glitch, via the barrel to the left of the entrance
@MrJessops thanks for the tips. BTW 47? damn dude thats beast.
@11Switchblade When you get up to a higher level, you get more valuable loot to sell which helps. yeah you can have both, but you may need to complete the civil war questline to purchase the house in windhelm
@tomtiger101 the white run house has a smith right outside with smelter and leather rack
@Brooke Cinna You can change the sensitivity in consoles.
It's way too big and bleak for my liking. It doesn't feel like an actual home
It's actually sick, trust me
breezehome in whiterun is better for me
simeon graham lol mine found mudcrab
@TheDravon I know, i just got it an hour ago and its amazing!
@crazychainsaw007 It is ... kind of, but really it doesn't matter as well. You don't really have to abuse the enchanting/alchemy loop in order to make pretty much any armor capped. I personally use Ebony on my sword and board widler with a mod to give it a gold overlay.

I think so, I have the Whiterun house and Solitude house. Do the Dark Brotherhood quest line as well, you get loads of awesome stuff.
Just one word: OWNED.
@ReconTrout Not really, I don't really like the Solitude house either. I'm kinda stuck between Hjerim in Windhelm and the house in Markarth. Windhem's got more display opportunities, but the dwemer acupuncture is simply amazing.

I think I like hjerim more...
GojiraMeister Archives and it has a more interesting quest to decorate ...
You mean the place the butcher stashed away human body parts? Hell no.
Yea same here i like hjerim more 2
So u want bloody skulls and bones in ur closet
I like hjerim but I don’t want my kids to live in Windhelm lol oof
@crazychainsaw007 yeah but if you have a enchantment that increases the ability to upgrade armor (forgemasters fingers for an ex.) you can upgrade dragon bone armour past legendary. Alot easier than daedric because you require ebony ore.
Even with the Hearthfire plug-in installed you cannot purchase property in winterhold.
No workshops, but you can buy a room for your kids from the steward in the blue palace.
I would say this is, but you should get breezehome first to start with
@ShredderDrov
It has the same Jarl so the quest is unaffected
@SuperMick001 Mine does the same thing, but I found a way to fix it.
Put armor on it, and exit from the menu, go back into the mannequin and put a ring or amulet on it and back out again, go back into it and take the ring/amulet off them and the armor should become visible?

Is it just me, or this house really looks like those one in Oblivion?
HOLY SH*T 2 DOORS?!?!?!?! *Activates FTL*
@SuperMick001 check the armour effects and your active effects and look for something which makes you invisible, otherwise i do not know "/
Guys, if you have bought the Childs bedroom and look on the map nd looka at solitude, there is a flag you can pick up.
the dark brotherhood sanctuary isn't a real house. you can't move there with you wife, you can't get a housecarl and you can't send your children there. so i recommend you either build a house or you use the Solitude house(although i think the one in Windhelm is better)

not in winterhold. you can get one in morthal, dawnstar and falkreith
I don't hate Imperials, I just think they're too haughty, just like the Aldmers. Oh and BTW, I've played the game with:
1)Nord
2)Kajiiti
3)Argonian
4)Breton
Thank you for Vid and all the info! :D
I don't want my house to have lots of furniture. I want it to have just storage
Connect cotrnoller to pc, and use file adapters.
@JAWNY101 It's a mainquest part.
point of weapon racks, armor stands is...?
i get that the enchanting table is good since whiterun home doesnt have that, but then why shouldnt riften house be the best? it's the cheepest house that can have an enchanting table, i dont see the point of size either. i'd rather just have all things in one place
@AntaresTutorials He's just playing with a xbox's controller on pc.
Moptops4 you need to complete the civil war quest line to get it
@DocAhqua my one character has the one in windhelm its very nice inside the only issue i had with it was doing a quest in order to be able to do anything with it bllod on ice quest after i bought it from urlic's guy.
Lol all these kids like "i'm level 75!" Bitch i'm level 98😂
Owen Seldon I'm level 25
im 54 ihave daidric armour all legendary and enchanted with extra affect and my follower has dragon armour all legendary
I'm still level 14.
Is there any ways to speed up the process? Thank you! :D
+kar muts just keep playing, or you could keep getting "Well Rested" or "Rested" or "Lover's Comfort" by sleeping for at least 8 hours.
Check this wikia out ^^
elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Rest_(Skyrim)
I'm level 29, but I'm on my fifth play-through or something like that.
People you can buy a house in wind helm unless you fucked up the quest in some way
@AntaresTutorials he is using xbox pad on pc
@GameRock123 Yeah, seriously bummed about only getting 2 mannequins :(
25000, that's like more 1080 graphics cards I dunno what to do with! why so fucking expensive? you have no idea how many dragons I might have to kill for their bones to sell.
Not to brag, BUT my proudspire manor has a fishtank! Not a mod but a bonus to having the special edition!
Still working on legendary edition! I bought the solitude house, and its upgrades for FREE! :)
@PO7NT Hjerim sucks cause it's full of bugs the best home i think would be Vlindrell Hall in Markarth it's easy to get it doesn't have a lot of bugs and it looks quite nice plus when you exit you get a great view over markarth
House at windhelm is the best i live there and it is really good

Holy Benirus manor Batman!
depends if you have a lot of stuff or not
Personally i do and to me it isnt so big and empty.
Both Solitude House and Windhelm houses are good.
It's nice to see what you're getting for all that gold but I'd rather buy the house in Markarth.
If you are wondering about that amulet, you need 24 of them so dont get your hopes up!
ok here is a tip, before you buy the place, look at the cupboard nearbye, buy the house exit the chat use slow time, then run over to the cupboard, put the coin in. after that you saved 25 k gold
@AntaresTutorials I think he is playing with a Xbox controller on his PC.
@SAVAGExKANTUS Because it is? Less bugs and more storage at markarth O.o
you can get the windhelm house anyway.
Sebastian campos windhelm is good but if u like solitude thats your opinion
That's a good question I can't answer.
well atleast most i got fully upgraded house brezzehome also thing my home in markarth , solidtude, helrich and even riften is fully upgraded.
whats the point of armor stands? i'd say the home in whiterun is the best, alchemy table+very close to full blacksmith and if you want to enchant then go to dragonreach
Personally I like the Markarth house better then the rest, even If its a bit rough to find.
Solitude. I mean, that house is awesome.
@demonicBerith Nope, you can't. Once you buy it you're stuck with it
the one in solitude is the best
Thank you for this show. Was considering buying the manor, but now I see it's wildly expensive like everything in Solitude, and I don't really like it inside.
Same, I owned a house in riften, windhelm, and whiterun. So I'm sure it's possible.
can't get one in winterhold
Solitude is my favorite place
I know this game isn't on earth, but its based off the middle ages, and back then, they did that stuff outside.. :D
@xMrKubo check your damn map son, its not any old shrine, its a special one
I still love my Windhelm mansion.
Yes you can I have a custom house near Falkreath, I own Hjerim and the house in soltitude.
;)
I have all the houses except Markarth and the solitude house is great and i love the area but i dont like the super bright lighting that would be in one corner of the room
Don't buy the solitude house you are better off buying the windhelm house because it's cheaper ( I think it's 13k full upgrade an this is 35 full upgrade) it has 3 armor stands and it's smaller which makes it easier to get to your chest and stuff.
ok anyone else not able to get in the patio door? i cannot seem to get back the manor without going through the front door :/
