- Switching from Shimano 11 Speed to SRAM AXS 12 speed system comes along with a host of compatibility issues, the good news, it is a one-time exercise, the bad news, it encompasses your whole ecosystem, indoor and outdoor.
In this video, I will be sharing the steps for replacing your Shimano hub with SRAM XDR hub on your Wahoo Kickr V5 or Kickr Core that would allow you to install your SRAM AXS 12 speed cassette and to get you ready for your next adventure on Zwift or Rouvy etc
I was driven to do this video as I found difficulty in getting a clear guide on YT prior to my installation and had to go to various online resources and forums especially with regards to the end nut and spacers that are used between Shimano and SRAM.

Hi everyone, can anyone tell me if the newest Kickr ist compatible with my bike if I have a Sram XG-1250 cassette (i.e. 12-speed)? I intend to only use it in ERG mode with Zwift so wondering if it's necessary to replace the pre-installed Shimano cassette. Really hard to find any reliable info.
Hi Jessica... Sorry for delay in reply... U mean to use the existing cassette (Shimano 11spd) on your SRAM equipped bike? If that's what you mean then it's a no go as compatibility goes beyond the cassette but also the derailleurs, chain etc

What was the white thing you used after using the chain whip & cassette removal tool? I don’t need that right?
Ahhh that's the typical cassette holder that it comes in; it is not needed but just for convenience to remove and reinstall
Can I ride with 12 speed shimano cassette on this shimano freehub?
Based on the press info by Shimano on their launch of their 12 spd Dura Ace the hub remains compatible. Not too sure on the MTB groupset though...
Where did you buy the XDR freehub?
Got mine from local Wahoo distributor. You might wanna explore Bikeinn though...
