Mexican opinion: from the start, Mexicans never use olive oil or fake lemon to cook/prepare the tacos but the ingredients look fresh and good quality.
Which oil do you use?
I'm using rapeseed oil.
@@WhiteCranKTo make the tacos crispy, you only need the same fat from the birria, just separate it by putting some of the birria broth in the refrigerator and it will form a crust, a crust that you then heat and the pure natural fat from the birria comes out.

As an American I'd thought I'd seen the worst offenses against Mexican food. We have taco bell and that's pretty damn bad. But watching this video, It was like watching a train wreck. I found myself yelling at the screen (what are you doing!), (olive oil!?), (is that ketchup?), and (stop torching the tacos!). This video is a great candidate for a Uncle Roger reaction.
I'm mexican and this is 100 time better than tacobell, there's no acurrate recipe for birria or barbacoa, it changes depending on wherer is made (mexico city, guadalajara, etc) we even have that kinda same Ramen recipe in México (it's calle birriamen) So, don't be so offended

They really love their propane torches - just flip the tacos. No need to go medieval with it! Other than taking a few small liberties, that looks like really good birria though. Now I have to cook some up myself - it's been a year since the last time. ETA: I guess it should properly be called quesabirria.

Desde el momento que vi que le puso aceite de oliva y romero a la carne me dio mala espina... me lo confirmó el cómo hizo el guacamole... y me sorprendió lo mal que limpió los pimientos morrones, para después echar los chiles secos sin limpar y con el rabo... asco... pésimas preparaciones... y sigue usando aceite de oliva 🤢🤢🤢

Yo soy de guadalajara jalisco,lugar de donde es originaria la birria y la verdad cambian muchos ingredientes,para empezar no se le pone aceite de oliva ni se fríe la carne,solo se cuece con el caldo y ya aparte están muy grasos y así casi no se disfrutan.

This feels like a video of someone's idea of what Mexican Birria tacos are. It certainly reeks of the excess of Korean street food. There is some things done right, but there is also SO MUCh done wrong. No Mexican place is going to bibimbap. Where are the fresh salsa's? Where is the queso cotija or queso oaxaca? They aren't going to be using a "Mexican" blend of monterey jack and colby and cheedar cheese. Also you dip the tacos in the consume not greasy fat.. stop it. Yeah... These are Koreanized versions of birria tacos, but man... learn to do it the right way. It's better than all the grease they used.

@@Hawk7886 It's a myth the heat is in the seeds. Stems and seeds left in means chewy indigestible bits that get stuck in your teeth, and add no flavor.
Quesa birria tacos are not supposed to be floppy like that, they're supposed to be crispy. Cheese goes on the outside.

Good idea , so many mistakes , as many in the comments pointed out these were more Taco Bell than real Mexican . To much oil , ketchup in the salsa ? And the wrong type of cheese

This was aggravating to watch O.O I refuse to belive that's the best way to make pulled pork like that. So many useless steps.
I agree using several different marinades and adding all those extra steps is kind of unnecessary but I respect the hustle.

Tag still on the outside of the pot.. was it washed? Gloves mixing the hot sauce into the meat.. melting plastic into the meat? Propane taste on the taco from that torch.. 24:15- - wow... that is a hot mess... and so unhealthy! icky.
Food scientist here, the cleanliness, organization, and prep shown in this kitchen are exemplary. A tag on the outside of a pot is not a concern, vinyl/nitrile gloves are heat safe well above 212 degrees, and propane evaporates at room temperature.
