I too think it would be easier to clean my water heater by cutting the side out of it. Sawzall it is. Bubble gum and duct tape should hold it back together.
@@Candy-le5wk - yes the dip tube might get in the way of that thing whipping around as well as the element if it’s an electric heater. Don’t think these will work on my natural gas heater because of the flue in the middle
The spinning agitator is designed merely to stir up the loose sediment deposits at the bottom of the tank so that the flowing water can sweep them into the auger. It is the spinning auger and the powerful force of the water that tare apart the chunks of sediment and pull them inside. The agitator is soft, flexible, has very little mass and will not harm your tank in any way.
@@craigmuehleip9121 Why not demonstrate the action by inserting this tool through the drain hole, spinning it with a drill and let's see what it does to the sediment through the open cutout.
