@@footage6402 you can give em more sound but they’ll always have that high pitch you know can’t get rid of the pitch I recommend tho especially with gas prices I just bought one today
Currently have a 2013 Focus Titanium Hatchback. My first car I purchased myself, 6 years and it’s been great but I need something faster and I’ve ALWAYS wanted a Mustang and the ecoboost looks so damn good! I would need one with the large touch screen I currently have with my focus titanium and I’m Sold! Looks like such a nice car and I’m Glad to see the back seats can fold down completely!
Thank you. I try to stay far away from that negativity. I do my own thing, and if people don't like it or don't want to click because it doesn't have a clickbait title or thumb oh well.
Cool review dude! We actually did our entire USA west coast road trip last year in a Mustang ecoboost (rental). I loved driving it. Especially since you hardly ever see these cars over here in western Europe.... Great car!
I have a theory that if the stock mufflers are kept, but the downpipe and intake are changed and then tune applied this car could sound pretty good, since its a 4 cylinder with two exhaust outlets theres a lot of air volume for the exhaust pulses to fill at low RPM. With some restriction (like the stock system) you buffer those gaps out and it would sound smoother at the expense of loudness....thats just a theory though
I talk to car heads about it all the time over here. The Netherlands does everything in their power to make driving less fun. I knew I was screwed from day one. I went from a 1.4 liter Peugeot 305 to a 1.8 liter 405 and was eying a 605 with the V6 or a 406 coupe with the V6 as the future replacement (I decided that the very awesome but rare 405 T16 was out of reach). More power, bigger cars... more comfortable. I knew I would be raped on gas, but you got to do something. Naturally it didn't end up that way. I moved to the USA, and here we are. Affordable power for less than half the price!
Haha yes it kinda sucks. I chose to convert my car to LPG which is about 50cts a liter. Road tax does go up but it's pretty affordable this way. Newer fast cars are not in my league. I'll have to do with the old stuff, currently a 1997 V70 T5 which packs a nice umpf. Which in turn is getting banned in every big city slowly but surely. Thankfully LPG is still in the green, a similar aged diesel however...
+Yannick de Vries it really is pathetic what they are doing to car enthusiasts. It is the fallout due to people running those old mercs for decades tax free. The real classic owners have to suffer.
That too, previously cars over 25 would have been exempt from paying road tax.. Now, it's cars over the age of 40. The thing I hate most is that every time the discussion about global warming lights up, they (de linkse rakkers ;) ) look at us the car driver. It's hopeless and I'm quite worried about how free I am to move around with my "old" car in a couple of years.
Honestly if Ford or the aftermarket could get this engine to sound somewhat powerful, it would be amazing. That's my only real complaint along with a worse manual transmission than what's in the V8 trim
Stock, no way. The upgrades make all the difference. Still don't think it would take your GT, but maybe the less weight makes up for it. Good review. Now I think it's time for you to do something Italian ;)
It is decidedly faster. Some say two mustangs met up in Mexico and footage exists of the stock 4.slow's demise. Others say it never happened. All we do know is that the 4.slow wouldn't stand a chance from a dig or a roll against a modded ecoboost.
Nice review..Thanks for sharing...Did a great Job....I have the 16 GT Silver auto.....I love it...Eco boost is an awesome Mustang...Judging from the way you took off, i doubt that this will take my GT. and mine is stock with the exception of the Pedal Commander and a K&N Filter...but the torque of my car will get that car off the line..Never raced an eco boost...should be fun
+rhampton1914 it shouldn't take your GT. It was quick but not that quick! I have only driven manual GT's, but an auto is much easier to get off the line so the ecoboost is not going to make it.
The Dutch Texan ... thank you for the response. And I wasn't trying to be cocky I was being genuinely sincere wondering if it's really true that a EcoBoost with some modifications can actually beat a stock GT Mustang I have to admit the pedal Commander does make a big difference in fact it makes a night and day difference in the delay that comes with these stock vehicles so when I saw you take off I can kind of Judge that there's no way that will keep up with my GT Mustang with the little mod that I have of the pedal Commander and so it was more like a genuine curiosity..... I'm sure there are some EcoBoost with the correct amount of miles that can be a Mustang stock on the track or even on the street I'm not really in the street racing I only bought a GT because when I test drove both of them the GT Mustang had a lot more torque basically that snap your neck feeling..... and when I drove the GT Mustang it was like wow this is what I want I love that torque when I'm in 3rd gear at around 4000 RPMs all I have to do is tap the pedal in that thing just moves anyways awesome video look forward to seeing some more of your videos you did a great job
+rhampton1914 I got plenty of other car reviews including some S550's, one of which I did when bolt on and then again supercharged! Talk about a snap your neck feeling. It to this date is the fastest accelerating car I have driven. In 3rd gear that is, first and second were useless!
Wow,,i would love to do a Supercharge on my GT....i can't even imagine how responsive that would be.....Keep up the great work..i'm checking out your Other Vids....Nice work...Only Mod i have is a K&N Filter and the Pedal Commander Throttle Response controller....Once you get the pedal Commander,,your will forget about a Tune...OMG...Totally turns the car into a responsive monster...you can take off faster than anything on the road...Stock Delay in the pedal is Pathetic....check out my review....
Benefits from following a smaller TH-camr! I try to reply to everyone and succeed most of the time! Thank you for watching this review man! Much appreciated!
For the E30 mix, I put 4 gallons of e85 and about 11 gallons of 93. As for the 87, the car would run like crap. I had to put some 87 in while the whole gas shortage hysteria was going on and I felt so guilty for doing so.
Benny ofAtlanta I love when people talk shit about V6’s and EcoBoosts when they don’t know a thing about them or are not even close to owning one. If you don’t like the car then just dislike the video.
The Dutch Texan oh yeah, I know. I just had to get the premium this time because I had a base ‘13 stang and it had the interior of a 99 civic it felt like. But the S550 base models aren’t bad at all
Although it would be really nice to have, I honestly could care less about the premium features. Not to mention I bought this 2016 brand new, at 18 (currently 19).
I don't get why people hate on the V6 and ecoboost mustang. They're nice cars especially for how much they cost.
It is solely because of the lack of sound, because they are plenty quick out of the box. And this one shamed my 05 Mustang GT.
@@TheDutchTexan Is there any way to give it more sound? I'm thinking of buying one

just recently picked up a 2016 eco boost with 80k miles for 16k.

Thanks for the positive and honest review! Negativity is easy click bait these days. Keep it up!

I just bought a 2017 mustang premium ecoboost. Definetly a sports car pulls good. Premium trim has everything you could want and then some.
Click on me if you want to see some videos on my stang
I just bought one same year ....love it...pulls hard af...love it
Awesome review brotha! I love driving my wife's Ecoboost. It's a fun car. Did the one you drove have "Track" mode?
All the nannies were turned off during my launch in manual mode. It turned the rear wheels nice through first gear with just a roll on!
That's a GREAT looking Mustang!
+Paul Tucker I agree! Really well done IMHO!
Cool review dude! We actually did our entire USA west coast road trip last year in a Mustang ecoboost (rental). I loved driving it. Especially since you hardly ever see these cars over here in western Europe.... Great car!
+OMNIRADIUS I liked it! And it is no surprise, I think even the ecoboost is 50K euros, it's insane.
That car hauls ! Not a fan of the 4 pot sound but this car is cool !
It is. And it’s a fair bit faster than my old 2005 Mustang GT!

Also I love this review. Great job comparing it to the V8.
Thanks for the kind words!
Have you seen gas prices had to get me one of these 😂
You still got to keep it out of boost though... Or it’ll drink like a drunken sailor! Hahaha!
@@TheDutchTexan 😂😂😂 fs Preciate the info 😂👍🏽
that's a nice mustang hope to see it at cars n coffee saturday!
+SKFlo it might be there! It has been in the past, that's for sure!
sorry I missed this time

If I were to sell a mustang in the NL, brand new eco boost, would it sell? Trying to test markets, feedback would be great thanks
They already sell them in the Netherlands. I don’t know if there is a massive market for them though. They are very expensive.
Perfect engine for Europe. Especially NL. The 5.0 has like $85k Co2 taxes, on a $40k car hahaha.

Do I really "need" an oil catch can?
You should have commented on what the last 4 cylinder mustang was ;)
+TheCorvetteBen I actually did, but cut that section out because it did not flow well. The 2.3 SVO Fox was awesome back in the day.
Post that race!

Great Vid!! Subbed!
I appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Now that I'd like to see. Oh, and Mexico is so yesterday. Canada is the new "in place". They have smoother roads ;)
Hahaha! I bet they look very similar to the roads I did this review on. Coincidental I am sure...
The OPP are quite strict here in Ontario unfortunately. Keep the Mexico dream alive :)
No one said anything about Ontario. Could have been Quebec. All I know is that the speed limit signs were in KPH.

Nope! If I remember correctly it is Frisco!
Mooi ding
Zeker! En ik had vroeger een Derbi FDX! Die liep 80 echte kilometers!
The Dutch Texan hahahah mooiii
Sooo the 93 octane is necessary?
Nope, you can run 87, but the engine will not produce max horsepower on the cheap stuff. So, 93 would be sitting in my tank if I had one!

HELLO 2020
I don’t know shit about mustangs so I looked up the 2016 ecoboost, it’s a fucking 4 cylinder WTF!! I was expecting the v6 exhaust roar........
Yup, but a 4 cylinder that wakes up and eats 4.6 GT's for breakfast!
If shit could make a sound it would sound like this mustang lol
sounds like a super lawnmower

I love base cars. You generally get the same power plant as a premium model, but you have money left over for mods!
