Agree. It’s a super car. I’ve got a 2019 Eco with a similar set up and the car cooks. 0-60 close to 5 sec with a full tank of gas and a spare tyre in the boot. The benefit to this car over the Coyote is the gas mileage, weight, and handling. I find this car more nimble than the coyote. If I lived in an area like Texas, Florida or Arizona I would go coyote but in the northeast this is the vehicle. Nice car.
Man that’s a clean looking Mustang! 2020 GT owner here but I got respect for the EcoBoost. People tend to sleep on them. Those bad boys are fast and definitely handle better than the GT.
I own a 2020 Ecoboost F150 and just recently bought a red 2018 Mustang Ecoboost with the black appearance package. Not disappointed at all with the 310 hp and 350 ft lbs of torque. It also has the handling package on it and it was totally worth the buy. Great handling car for the weekend out with the family.
It's great in the tuner scene. Look up the tomei exhaust 😍 Perfect exhaust system for it. Not trying to imitate a v8, which the 2.3l never can anyways, tuned to perfection and saves you 45lbs!
Dude. YES. You get the same benefits as something like an ecoboost mustang and more. And you get it all without any hate lol. That’s something I would probably buy before the gt.

So what I’m talking about adjusting is the Damping, the setup I have is a set of lowering springs (which have a fixed drop height) and a set of Koni Sport shocks, and what I am adjusting is the damping on them. Only thing a coil over setup has that my setup doesn’t is height adjustment.
You know its funny, The manual V8's are kinda ruined because they have so much power that your rowing through gears. But this is slow enough that it makes the manual more fun in this than a V8 clone.
Dude the filming is amazing you definitely have some good video skills i enjoyed the video so much because of how crisp the audio and the picture was, you have a lot of potential i literally just subscribed because of the quality of this video
yes & no. They both have small exhaust ports that exit through a shared hole. RS engine is cylinder 1&4, mustang is 2&3. The shared exhaust port is highly restrictive making too much backpressure under boost. Which can result in exhaust reversion. The exhaust gasses force their way back into the cylinders causing detonation and the weakest link breaks as a result, usually it's just the head lifting off the block blowing the gasket out, that's why gasket failure happens around the previously stated cylinders per engine. 2018 & up haven't really seen any problems stock, but before 2018 even stock tuned were popping because of the restrictive exhaust flow. It would be easily solved but ford genius' built the exhaust header into the head itself so you can't just get aftermarket headers for it. :/ Next best thing before touching the motor is a high flow 3" downpipe or slightly bigger turbo.
"It's a manual of course" when are people going to realize that's no longer a good thing? I mean if you enjoy shifting that's great, I won't dog you because I've driven a lot of sticks so I get it. But when people mention it's manual as-if that helps make it a sports car, it's transmission and you manually shifting it is actually not as fast as the 10 speed transmission the auto has that's also used in the Corvette and ZL1 Camaro. It's also not a heavy car. It weighs more than 700 lbs less than the GT, and you can get about $2,000 in mods that make it just as fast as the GT while still spending less than you would have on the GT and you'll also be getting better gas mileage and pay less on your insurance. The Echoboost is truly a great car for anyone that's looking.
Let me tell you I felt the same way but once I got it I can tell you it sounds fairly good. Not v8 good but it sounds good. Keep a nice set of mufflers and go catless/hi flow down pipe and it’ll hold a very good sound until your very high in the rpm. But ofc that’s because it’s a small engine that utilizes higher rpm to make power.
I love the sound of the V8, but for $12k less (even used) apples to apples, I LOVE my ecoboost. I have a '16 premium performance package convertible eco boost with a manual, its a freakin killer daily driver, cant complain about the 27-mpg average fuel economy and thats with me not trying for fuel mileage. The handling is absolutely amazing too!
Question: so I just bought a 2022 Mustang Ecoboost, the gas it takes it 87 but should I gas it up with premium gas? Is it even worth it for “performance” or drive quality ?
I own a 2017 for last 5years. I filled it up with premium twice. Unless you are constantly racing other cars extra hp will matter, BUT in normal driving conditions i can't feel the difference.
Mine doesn't like regular, but Regular is fine for road trips. If you want to drive aggressively, especially on hilly corners, when the temperature is above 70 degrees, use at least 89 octane.
To be honest, I don't think so. The 2.3 liter ecoboost is a great engine on the Dallara stradale for instance, in the mustang you need V8, please Americans hold up the name of muscle cars.
