@@derekhood7815 I would love to know how you get 440 easy with just a peocharger. I'm not commenting this to poke a bear, I'm asking cause I have a procharged 3.7 not getting those kind of numbers
Because it isn't ..I think this is bullshit. the catback and CAI g together give you 20-30hp and that's exaggerating, I doubt the tuner will give you the rest , not with out frying the engine anyways.
Modern turbo cars consistently see large gains from ECU tuning because of the electronic boost control. They can easily add in more boost without taxing the engine very much. COBB has been tuning Ford turbos for those kinds of gains for quite a while now. My buddy had a SHO that gained +140HP at the wheels with an upgraded exhaust and tune (Livernoise). It's not magic, it's just modern tech.
Its not bull shit. The exhaust was more than just a catback they installed a turboback and also deleted one of the cats. Plus those tunes can make a huge difference, especially after a few bolt ons.
Hey Kurt, you know it big guy! We completely changed the game with this beautiful EcoBoost! With this Catback Exhaust along with the Turboback and Cold Air Intake, with the specific tunes easily brought an incredible difference to this bad boy! Crazy what a few bolt ons can do. - Matt
I think to improve efficiency would be inter cooler, air intake, cat back, oil catch can, and that's around 2,500 bucks for all of that. I wouldn't buy a tune though, because that can increase problems with the car in the future, buying bolt on's just improves efficiency
Bolt on's are useless without a tune on the ecoboost engines. Ford uses torque targeting with its ECU which will pull any gains from the bolt on's back to the target numbers.
Hey Austin! There are many great bolt ons you can get for the EcoBoost, thats for sure. And of course you can get many of these awesome bolt ons for great prices! But with that being said, if you want max performance sometimes you have to drop a pretty penny. We wanted to get max HP Gains for this EcoBoost, and of course went down that Tune route. But hey gotta do what you gotta do, and like I said I definitely back you up on some great and easy bolt on options! - Matt
Wow you're really great at this, the issue with most women doing things like this or especially video games they over do it and really push the issue of I'm a girl look I can do this too, nobody is saying anything about you being a girl just do what you're supposed to yet they push the issue, you don't do that you're just doing your thing and it's awesome, you're so good at this keep it up!!!
Th 3 inch downpipe splits into two 2.25inch pipes for the cat back so no flow restriction at all. Two 2.25 inch is a little bigger flow area than a single 3 inch
btw, looking at the hp/torque curve even after putting all this stuff on one thing is clear, the ecoboost needs more cam(s). Thing looks like it dies at around 5000rpm.
Either a larger cam or larger turbo, yeah. The powerband looks like it's NA. You can see everything switch over (valve timing, etc.) around 4000 RPM, but there's not much above that.
and this is why im getting an ecoboost instead of a v6 or v8 mustang. easy to make extra power with upgrades when you have a turbo, after all it is a De-Tuned RS engine so it has the potential to make alot more than ford sold it at. not to mention more working room with a 4cyl and better MPG when your easy on the gass lol
anyone else notice the TQ peak on the graph and how that initial spike looks just north of 375 but she said 360 peak. Either way the gains up top are great.
That would definitely be a good add-on after doing this mods, or at the same time. We put a CPE intercooler on a '15 EcoBoost the other day, it was such an easy install. Plus a lot of off the shelf tunes require it.
Honestly I would do an intercooler and tune on ANY ecoboost before I would even look at the exhaust. I made over 300ft/lb's to the wheels on stock turbo Fiesta with the factory catback. Until you do a turbo upgrade it's just there as a noise maker. It's not like cars back in the day, these exhausts actually flow pretty fucking well.
Hero, I like the way you think! Throwing an intercooler on this EcoBoost would definitely help with the performance gains, especially since it would be such an easy install, but hey for everything we did on this bad boy, I really cannot complain! Hope you liked the video! - Matt
AmericanMuscle.com I do like it and you guys obviously your shit, I'm just trying to help other ford fan's down the upgrade path. If some dude spends $900 on a cat back that does nothing, he will get smoked by the guy that spend $500 on the accessport. I'm not against the exhaust, it's the when do you need it.
You right!! First upgrade the intercooler stock to one good and the CATBACK can wait.. so the good pack is: AIR INTAKE+DOWNPIPE+INTERCOOLER and tune It.

Bob Brians my bone stock 10 speed ecoboost hit 5.1 secs. Have the video for proof. The 10 speed is a badass transmission
TheDustyaman have to agree with that but still 6.1 to 4.9 is night and day
My stock automatic hit 5.6 on sport mode. After adding an aftermarket downpipe it dropped it to 5.2
Bob Brians I’ve hit 5.5 on mine stock automatic
The tune did all the work
Have to Remember the Haters that the SVO was a thing and it wasnt fantasy, the 2.3 Turbo it's in Mustang history, obviously it will never be like an V8 that's for Shure
a bolt on 2.3 can beat a 5.0 any day wym 😂😂😭
I've actually got the 1320 three inch downpipe. Had it for like 5 years. Then a Thermal R&D 3" cat back exhaust finishes it off.
Love this video because it shows to the people that we don't know how to make more HR 😂 but u need to do a video for V6 as well. And more videos to make more HP
I couldn't agree with you more Manuel! But all I gotta say is....stay tuned ;) - Matt
I hope you're a good driver.
*Straddles Double Crossed*
Wait a minute, did she say down pipe? I missed must've missed that part.
6:29 “you can’t really hide, so I hope you’re a good driver!” *immediately drives over double yellow lines*
Damn girl tell us how you really feel. lol. I think these things will still appeal to the under 30 crowd who grew up in the F&F generation.
Joshua C ok boomer
5 years later and you are correct I'm getting I will show them the way of the 4 cyc turbo stang
1st off, great job on the video. Love the personal thoughts on the exhaust in-car drone!!! Awesome job. Now how about a burnout and speed shift!!!!😉
Hey Scott! We just want to be real with you guys and give our honest opinion! Glad you enjoyed the video and definitely stay tuned....that burnout and speed shift might not be too far away! - Matt
I love it!!! Thanks for the response and I am looking forward to watching this!!! She is cool and nothing like a gal who can bang a stick shift and do awesome burnouts like the one she did in the giveaway car!!!
I like my ecoboost 2.3 it's really fun to drive and is easy on my wallet, I will in the future upgrade my air intake and exhaust.
I just brought my exhaust today I'll be getting the rest at a later date
@@ejlive1997 what exhaust did you get?
@@jreed2972 I got the borla atack
@@ejlive1997 ok great!! I will be working on mine soon.
I love my ecoboost STANG , ONE OF THE FASTEST 4 CYLINDER CARS EVER BUILT , MY IS STOCK AND HITS 260 PLUS KILOMETERS AN HOUR WITH NO EFFORT 160 MILES AN HOUR for a 4 CYLINDER is crazy fast 💯 also own V6 and V8 the mustang series are best power for your dollars on the market 👏 and 2 F-150 pick ups (FORD BABY)
I'm sure the connecting rods appreciate all that low end torque lol.
She makes the mustang look like a truck. She is tiny. 👸🏼Queen of American muscle!
hey guys! I'm always checking out your videos and I wish you guys make a nice one telling us how to mod a 2015 mustang v6, thanks!
I like the way it sounds!
I actually do not mind that Ford discontinued the Cyclone V6. That engine was really shitty. Costs too much to gain power on it. I say good riddance 3.7 and hello 2.3.
@@derekhood7815 I would love to know how you get 440 easy with just a peocharger. I'm not commenting this to poke a bear, I'm asking cause I have a procharged 3.7 not getting those kind of numbers
Agreed. Had an 07 V6 4.0 and it had full bolt-ons and was still slow as shit. I loved the car, but damn it was slow.
@@twiz5492 4.0 is not close to the 3.7
TWIZTED GAM3R 07 v6? lmao shut up
Lucki Fan Account Just saying dude lol I loved the car and it sounded and looked awesome, but it lost to shit like a 2005 Acura TL lol
Premium Stock Convertible.......PERFECTION. Drone noise in a drop top is not okay.
I was interested in buying this car because of the tuning capability but after hearing it I think I'll stick with the V8
Fr😂
Huge gains with just intake and exhaust... Didn't know it would be that dramatic.
- Matt
wow, she definetely knows what shes talking about and she can drive a stick - priceless.
Stephanie definitely knows here way around the car. She can give driving lessons to a few guys that think they know how to drive ;) - Will
Girl you got that horse power to breakthrough my heart ,,,,nice upgrades
I'm wondering if the tune will affect in any way the sport and track modes?
I'm not seeing anyone mention MPG loss or gains with these mods can anyone answer?
You're doing gods work overthere at American muscle. 💪
This is a quality video.
How Many Times Did She Say Definitely In This Video???
Love The Video... Thanks...
Definitely a downpipe
I love American Muscle. She's really good too.
I want to see this with a turbo upgrade
- Matt
IMPROVE THE MUFFLERS. SOUNDS LIKE A KIDS HONDA WITH THE ANNOYING GIANT CHROME MUFFLER.
Agreed!!!!
BlackCat 56 facts
You can used all the exhaust system available in the world but it will never ever replicate a true v6 sound. :(
@@rjayp5843 too bad huh but hey it'll rape the V6 in a straight line
chum kiler it definitely won’t with me My car making 600hp ill dust that weak mustang
Revenge of the SVO!! :)
need the wing and name badge
that mustang looks really really good
If you're going with a 3" downpipe you should continue that with a 3" full exhaust. Not sure why they went with a 2.25" for this.
Th 3 inch downpipe splits into two 2.25inch pipes for the cat back so no flow restriction at all. Two 2.25 inch is a little bigger flow area than a single 3 inch
Bigger pipes are not always better, you can start losing low end torque when you start using larger pipes.
Intercooler would definitely add more. Great setup though...now if I can find the damn parts
btw, looking at the hp/torque curve even after putting all this stuff on one thing is clear, the ecoboost needs more cam(s). Thing looks like it dies at around 5000rpm.
Either a larger cam or larger turbo, yeah. The powerband looks like it's NA. You can see everything switch over (valve timing, etc.) around 4000 RPM, but there's not much above that.
Solid review.
Skip to 12:05 she finally shuts up for 5 seconds so you can actually hear the engine/exhaust.
STFU
I'd rather hear her over that horrible exhaust...
It's an improvement, but that exhaust still sounds like a box of angry bees
Better off straight pipe
Wow the borla atak catback sounds better on my v6 by a long shot lol
But the EcoBoost would shit on your v6 any day you would get walked by this 4cl
@@thanosbustedinyourmum and now it would get walked by my 5.0 lol
and this is why im getting an ecoboost instead of a v6 or v8 mustang. easy to make extra power with upgrades when you have a turbo, after all it is a De-Tuned RS engine so it has the potential to make alot more than ford sold it at. not to mention more working room with a 4cyl and better MPG when your easy on the gass lol
This baby wants a bigger turbo
Speed Racer over here! Stay tuned my man ;) - Matt
I'm convinced the writer for the script of this video wanted to put as many downpipes as possible in the script as a joke
How much did these mods change the MPG?
No change unless u stay WOT
wondering the same question.
WOT?
WOT=Wide Open Throttle
I added a turbo to my car and the gas mileage is about the same, maybe 1 to 2 mpg better.
anyone else notice the TQ peak on the graph and how that initial spike looks just north of 375 but she said 360 peak. Either way the gains up top are great.
Definitely gotta go back and check this out, but yeah man those gains were super impressive! Its crazy the power this EcoBoost now has! - Matt
missing intercooler upgrade
- Matt
AmericanMuscle.com
I do like it and you guys obviously your shit, I'm just trying to help other ford fan's down the upgrade path. If some dude spends $900 on a cat back that does nothing, he will get smoked by the guy that spend $500 on the accessport. I'm not against the exhaust, it's the when do you need it.
Thoughts on a catch can? Do you need one with these mods?
I know this is hella late but on cars that are direct injection only I’d recommend a Catch Can period since your deposits go straight into the intake.
Cobb is a bad idea for a beginner, stage 2 and 3 will lead to a blown engine if you're not careful, but that intake is beautiful!
Heather is Fine !!! and the Mustangs nice to. : )
Well I'm glad we got your attention! Thanks for watching Prog ;) - Will
AmericanMuscle.com Thank man much respect really ! : )
+AmericanMuscle.com do u need to tune the car
Damn she makes the video worth watching 💯🔥
INTERCOOLER!!!!!
You right!! First upgrade the intercooler stock to one good and the CATBACK can wait.. so the good pack is: AIR INTAKE+DOWNPIPE+INTERCOOLER and tune It.
Thanks for mentioning the drone aspects, drone on exhausts annoys the hell out of me.
I think the done sounds good lol but its the first car I've modded
Omg sounds like a import, not for me. I'm interested for bora downpipe and cold air box.
Its a 4 cylinder what do you expect?
+Sean Tyrone I didn't.
One of the few times where I think stock exhaust sounds better. Wow, Borla usually does a great job, but this sounds like crap.
I'm keeping my stock resonator and cat.
yeah imma stick with the down pipe and no muffler mods. I love popping but its hard to get without the loud import sound (100% expected though)
Nice results, but personally I would save the money from a catback and instead use it to buy a better intercooler. Then get a catback later on..
This is good advice.
That sounds like a 91 Civic with glass packs...
But way faster so who cares lol
