Had a garden now since I was 36 and have amazed myself with what I can do especially as a male gardener I still have to pluck up the courage to get out there lol as I'm very overlooked but once I start and start seeing progress there is no stopping me.congrats to you

They're wonderful flowers bro, and no two are the same. My favourites since I was just a few years old in my grandma's garden. Fell in love with them at first sight. 😊
If you can choose your colors, I recommend you American Native Tiger Lily (pink +dark pink) , deep red (they call it black), and orange+red.

Pretty sure this was one of the earliest videos of yours I watched. 🙂The lilies I planted are starting to send green shoots up. They made it through the frost we had last week. Hooray! Even the greenery is attractive. Which is good since last year the tree lilies didn’t bloom here until June.

I just planted some flowers for my granny a couple weeks back all purple flowers, because that is her favorite color (and it was her B-Day too) I loved that I got to see some of them come to a bloom while she is around they will make memories like yours one day. I just bought a mixed pack of different colored Orential Lilies the other day can not wait to plant them. This video has helped me learn how to plant them. Thank you, so much for the flower knowledge 🏵🌷🌱🦋. Hope you have a great Spring 🐞.

They are my favorite flower as well and the daylilies. Those pink tinged bulbs with slight pink sprout are Oriental lily bulbs. But no way to know what color till bloom of course. I have a big 15 inch planter on my deck that has Casa Blanca lilies in it. It has been growing and blooming in the pot for 10 years. I have a soil mixture of compost, peat moss, pearlite, and just a touch of sand. They grow great and will over winter without freezing in a large pot if protected and placed near the foundation of the home on your porch or side of the house that doesn't get hard cold wind. I had to go to pots vs the ground because of moles. They ate most of my lilies.

I wish i had watched your videos before planting oriental lily baferrari bulbs. I hope it will grow. I planted it in compost humus soil in a container a week ago. I leave in zone 8a where our weather here is kind of bipolar. 🙄😬. Doesn't seem to make up it's mind, going back and forth to summertime and fall. 😩 We still have temperature above 80's, goes up and down, last night on 30's with high temperature of 64, and tomorrow will be around 76 again. I really hope all my bulbs will sprout and grow 🙏. First time planting bulbs- lillies, daffodils, tulips and croccus in our backyard. I made the squirrels so happy, feasting in my garden bed. 😟😟

Thank you so much! Just found your channel two days ago. Now I am binge watching all of them. I live in the USA on the gulf coast of Alabama. We have a very long growing season. So everything is blooming and growing here. I found the bulbs in the bottom of a pot when I was reclaiming the soil. I dumped them in the wagon of soil and BAM out popped these beautiful bulbs. I thought they had long been dead. But sometimes a forgotten treasure is a good one. Guess I didn’t kill them after all. Once again thank you I’m learning how to do a lot of planting. Can always learn no matter how long one has been growing and planting. ❤️❤️

Hi Lee, I hope you are feeling better, I know how you are feeling, my beautiful garden is falling apart. My chronic health flared up and I am pretty much in bed most of the time on few very strong opioid base painkillers!! Seeing my flowers and veg and herbs that I put that much effort and money and hope in them, all dying slowly. But we have to be strong, very strong and like always push push and more push ourselves for very basic day to day life that most people takes them for granted.
I have one question and I will be very happy if you can answer it. My Asiatic lilies have finished flowering and now there is a green big fruit shape instead of flowers ( I guess they are seeds),
What should I do now, trim all the leaves and stalks to the base, or what?
Should I leave the bulbs in the soil. By the way, these lilies are in the garden and in the flower bed, they are NOT in a pots. Please advise me, thank you very much and all the best to you 🌹🌺

Can u please do a video on soil vs compost, like I'm confused.. can one grow plants or certain plants only in ONLY compost? Some say no.. also same for cocopeat? Can we plant seeds in either ?

Compost is just broken down organic matter (wood chips, leaves, food scraps, and anything green like grass or green leaves)Look up Charles Dowding, , he grows everything from just compost itself. When you plant seeds you can use cocopeat or peat moss which has no nutritional value when you're starting seedlings. When the seedlings start growing their true leaves you can add a light fertilizer to give them a jumpstart to maturity.

@@ramz1455 thanks🙏.. I'll look him up. Yes after transplanting them I guess adding nutrients makes sense..

@@synchronicity67 no problem, I use a fish fertilizer. Very stinky but it wont burn the young plants. 2 teaspoons per gallon. Look up the rusted garden for more info. Theres plenty help out there :)

You don't need much at all if you are using peddles.

cut the heads. then let the foliage die off then cut the foliage after it dies. Wait until next year when they grow back.

I couldn’t quite hear on my phone, did these stay in the bucket when planted in the ground. Also do you recommend netted cages to protect plants if so could you do a video.

I have a question for anyone who can help me. I peeled the petals or what would become bulbs and put them in a baggie with vermiculite and now have some small bulbs that look like small lilies. I am taking them out of their humid bag, six months later, and need to know do need to continue keeping them in a humid condition or just plant them in a planter and keep it inside, I live in colorado.
