Well spotted, and my mistake, they were indeed A-7E Corsair IIs. Apologies in advance, as I will make the same mistake in Part 2. Now, I am racking my brains to remember "why did I think they were Crusaders???".
One issue that I have with Sea Power is that AFAIK jamming is ineffective if the jammer is either too far away (weak signal) or too close (burn through) to the target. From what I have seen the "cone of death" that appears in front of jamming aircraft is virtually 100% effective within that zone, whihc is wrong on so many levels. It looks like a great game but I would love some more attention paid to both the enemy AI and to ECM and ECCM.
Thanks for the comment! Getting enemy AI right seems to be a big challenge with many games, and not many games attempt an accurate simulation of EW. The good news is that this game is in early access, and the devs are actively seeking feedback like yours to improve the game, with lots of updates being released with improvements. I am sure they would welcome specific suggestions, and there is a good chance they would make it into the game! Keep the ideas coming!

7:10 Minor correction. The first aircraft launched from the carrier, were A-7E Corsair IIs, not Crusaders

Is this a "Final Countdown" lite scenario? For 1972, there are some aircraft from the future on the flightdeck and hanger bay.
Ha ha! I had a similar thought when playing. Maybe the game is just teasing me that I should be playing F-14 missions...or is it Maverick's dad?
