    I'm glad you feel the same as me about these watches.....I got a silver second hand version from the first batch, and a few weeks ago took delivery of a blue hand.......! Goodness me, these watches make me smile every time I look at them. I've spent about 30 quid extra for each of them to live on premium quality leather and they both just blow me away! For less than a hundred pound each they are absolutely stunning! The finishing is without fault on both..( bear in mind that the maker has recently had to produce around 400 in order to fulfill demand) so this is very impressive for a small producer! All in all, I love them..and they cause me to question what else I'd ever need. Then I quickly remember the other 59 pieces on my radar. 🙄

    My friend, i'm more than impatient to get this watch on my hand (i assume it's at customs right now...). Got one from the new bunch, did'em with the blue seconds hand again. As for the strap, i'll try to match it with a cork strap, for a start (will send photo to you and ...the Honest man! 😉). Then, i'll go nuts, it's a strap monster anyways.
    Yup, that's a winner for sure, enjoy mate. Honestly (... he is in love with this too, as far as i'm aware...). Cheers lads!

    Mine was delivered today. Such a beautiful watch. Cream colour makes everything very visible and classy. Blue hand with no date. Wears so well with the thin case and light weight. Would be great to see a hi beat automatic version. I've got the conquest homage on order. I can't wait. This is one of my favourite looking watches in my collection.

    Very nice watch! Lovely dial and hands. BTW, it has 50m water resistance so definitely OK if it gets a bit wet. I'd say Seiko do use that movement in some of their watches but they often use a different name for the ones they sell to other companies, like the 4R36A is the same movement as NH36.

      @@TheWatcherReviews Maybe, but there's a pretty good chance that the 6T63 high beat quartz used on Seiko SSB series chronograph watches is virtually the same movement with a different name, which is probably why they're not using the same name on movements they sell to others, just as with the NH movements.

    I just got my new 40mm white dial version and I was pleased to find out that I already have a stainless steel bracelet that is a perfect fit. First I tried the Strapcode oyster bracelet for my Seiko Alpinist Sarb017 but I didn’t work. Then I remembered the oyster bracelet that came with my Hamilton Khaki Field 38mm. Looks and feels like it was designed for the Escapement Time watch - complete with female end lengths so the original lug to lug dimension is unchanged.

    Zeb Sir I liked it when you showed it today on WRUW and now seeing it on my big screen I’m more impressed.
    Too Small for me of course but as a dress watch it would sit nice on the wrist with a Crisp White Shirt and a Dark Suit.As for the Second hand Sweep then hell yeah that’s Cool.
    Bracelet definitely needs curves case end links and I agree a Straight end link Spoils the look massively.
    Seiko will have their reasons for not using that movement which we may never know but it looks Great.

  • @3rdstone1
    @3rdstone1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Excellent video, mate. These went recently back in stock, and of course I quickly ordered the one with blue seconds hand and am awaiting it. A Seiko quartz movement with four beats per second, why the hell aren't more watches equipped with this one? Or have I missed something, I wasn't even aware there was such a cool quartz movement?
    I generally don't mind quartz, I have a few including a couple of chronos and think they do have advantages to mechanical ones, even though I still prefer having little machines on wrist full of cogs and springs that's way worse in accuracy than a quartz lol. But if the misalignment on the markers are too significant, it's always such a turn off.
    Hence a movement like this should be more common IMHO. Couldn't Seiko churn these out like the NH3* series? BTW, it's not all about the movement here - I love this watch design over all (could be a tad smaller though as you said), and would love too see more of retro homage concepts like this. It is a stunning watch for a great price. Appreciate the strap fashion show, I need to check out some nice ones for this when it arrives. Tbh, both of these bracelets looked great IMO, I don't mind straight end links when it's on retro watches. OK, rant's over now lol.

    Curious how it stacks up against the Starking AM-0184 and the Cadisen C-1032 - I know these are automatics but they are consistently ranked as very high value for money watches.

    • @3rdstone1
      @3rdstone1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have the Cadisen (both the black and silver dial), and can't wait to compare these two when my ordered Escapement Time finally arrives, even though it's quartz vs automatic. I expect/guess they will have a draw when it comes to quality for the price, just a bit different in looks and movements.

    • @3rdstone1
      @3rdstone1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok, had to ad: The Cadisen C1032 with it's known specs is of course ridiculously affordable at under $50 during sale and with some coupons IIRC. That's probably one of the very best deals at AE that's almost impossible to beat. The ET "King Seiko" mightn't quite be at that level considering price, automatic movement etc, but I expect them both to feel even in the game of amazingly good watches for a ridiculous price.
