It’s such a shame that Porsche calls this new car the Macan. The Macan imo is one of the best suv’s out there with an internal combustion engine. The turbo batch is also a misplaced marketing trick. I don’t like it at all. And I don’t like it that I have say that about a Porsche.
How often is the 12 volt battery dead in your car? I agree it's a dumb feature, but I see the problem in the future with the mechanics breaking more than having a dead battery.

@@user-pr4gv3tw8iAlso even if the 12V goes out, the larger battery always has 5-15 kwh’s available at all times depending on the size. You take the battery capacity then minus it by the reserve to get the usable battery size.
If the current model is indicative of depreciation, this will lose at least 75% of its value over less than three years. This one probably costs £150,000 near enough to buy, so in three year’s time it will have lost £110,000 or about £3000/month. I can think of better ways to burn £3000/month.
Those things are usually powered by the 12V battery and if that gets flat than you couldn't activate/charge the HV battery anyway. It gets annoying if the 12V battery dies but you also have that problem with (some) modern ICE cars.
