    Just flew comfort plus round trip from NY to Ireland and I can confirm it is totally worth the extra expense. I am not taller but am a bit wider than average so what looks like a few extra inches of legroom and seat width really helps as well as being just steps away from the rest rooms. Early boarding and dedicated overhead storage are both great if you are a carry on only person (didn't matter to me) as well as being about 25 rows max from the front of the plane. I know it isn't cheap (my upgrade was just over $350 total) but the comfort and convenience that came with it definitely made both flights more comfortable in multiple ways. (FYI - US residents go through customs in Ireland on the way home so you hit the ground and go right to baggage claim).

      @thesensman39 Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Delta Comfort+ on your trip to Ireland. It sounds like it was worth the extra expense for you. I'm curious, when you travel, do you prioritize comfort and convenience, or are there other factors that are most important to you when choosing your seat on a flight? ✈️😊🌍

      @RoyalWalker we don't fly often but when we do it's usually not a close trip so yes, comfort and convenience are the highest priorities for us.

      @FM-ig3th You're 100% Correct, man. Taller guys, do not have the space needed in Main Cabin OR Basic Economy, it's very tight and the seats aren't very wide nor long.

    I like the Comfort + mostly for the easier boarding experience. I've learned that sometimes it is cheaper to book Main Cabin and then upgrade to Comfort + at a later date. When you first purchase tickets you have to pay for these seats for all legs between the departure city and the arrival city. But you can upgrade by leg/segment later on for less cost. I don't think the upgrade is worth it for the flights into/out of my hometown since the airport is tiny and there is always overhead space. Heck, even first class out of my hometown only scores me a free bottle of water that is waiting on my seat. There is no beverage service on the flights that I take out of home since the flights are very short. The free checked luggage is a plus but the bump in price eats up any perks. But Comfort + on flights between large cities is a must for me.

      @lilliputlittle Thanks for sharing your insights into the Comfort+ experience! @@RoyalWalker I work for Delta, not going to say where and which department, but I try to travel as much as I can. As someone who works for the airline, Tuesday's and Wednesday's are the best days to travel, avoid the weekends as you will be crammed in those seats. Don't be afraid to talk to the agent, of course politely because they actually are quite busy, busier than you might even imagine, and seeing if you can get an earlier flight, because you never know. If you are planning on going to Europe, go in October. June all the way through September are the busy times. Any other continent is busy but Europe is jammed packed, so if you can wait until October you can ride easier and probably cheaper. This is something people forget a lot, when it's Winter on top of the globe it's Summer on the other side of the globe and vice versa. People make that mistake sometimes. Lastly, if the flight is sold out and you can wait, give up your seat for money, yes money. All airlines do this btw, but you can sometimes score up to $2k, not always but it does happen. When you are negotiating ask for a complimentary upgrade to first class or Delta-1 on the next flight. Lastly, don't always trust a 3rd party when getting tickets, many times you won't be able to change tickets.

    • @RoyalWalker
      @RoyalWalker  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @jamesf791 Thanks for sharing these awesome travel tips! It's great to hear insights from someone who works in the industry. Tuesday's and Wednesday's for smoother flights-got it! Giving up your seat for cash or upgrades-definitely something to consider. Quick question-when you do give up your seat for extra cash on those busy days (like Friday through Sunday), do you usually also ask for the complimentary upgrade along with the cash? It sounds like you've got some savvy negotiation skills, and I'm curious how you make the most of those situations. Let's keep the travel hacks coming! ✈️
