    4:05 is one of those things where you see a snapshot of someone on a video that looks like a glance into their character, not only is he a badass, but he looks like he's probably a really funny guy to be around

    Erik Paulson is amazing!!! He has so much knowledge. These guys wont be around forever. We must appreciate Him. Brock lessner should not lose to anybody!! He should have annihalated Cain Valasquez! Too much pride!! or not listening. Bottom line is He Dissapoints us.. I have seen fighters argue with Sensei Paulson, Total disrespect. He knows more than we do!!

    @sgtmac46 Marvin Cook, I think, CSW's Boxing coach, has his own Boxing gym in Orange County (I think), used to Box professionally but I don't know to what level or if he has any championships.

    Who is the big black guy, 'Marvin'? He's got some quick hands and some smooth footwork. A nice evasive style of moving. Anyone know who he is?

    Everyone know what JKD stands for. The main point of the comment being that It is the Philosophical edge to the Bruce Lee's style. Hence the term JUN FAN JEET KUNE DO and JUN FAN GUNG FU. Taky Kimura was the highest ranked student But then you have Dan Inosanto who is the only person authorized to teach Jeet kune do. So as explaned by Ron Balicki is the difference between Jkd and Jun Fan martial arts.

    On a side note I see your son has really become an incredible martial artist. Congratulations! He must be very lucky to grow up with a father like yourself, you must be very proud.

    I apologize for the blog battle. It was silly, I like the video. For years I was confused by the use of terms JKD this, JUN FAN that. Even after practiceing the system no one ever explained the difference Until Ron Balicki broke it down to it's simplist undrstanding. Jkd is the Philosophy and Jun Fan is the actual curriculum. Jkd is were the individual finds what works for them. So Eriks Jkd was the term I used and this caused this silly argument.

    He was the perfect coach for someone like Lesnar. When I watched Lesnar fight I always wondered what the hell he was doing in training considering he was with Paulson

  • @KJGould
    @KJGould 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Dungarth Paulson can only be at Lesnar's camp for a couple of weeks at a time. Then its up to head coach Marty Morgan to make sure Lesnar is training MMA, not just wrestling. Lesnar should really bring back Greg Nelson too, Nelson could really tighten up Lesnar's clinch game as well as Thai striking and striking to set up takedowns better.

    My apologies for butting in but Bruce you are one best and most well known JKD teacher and students around. I realize Erik doesn't necessarily consider his school a JKD school, but isn't he doing true JKD concepts. Whether it's a mix of all those arts and you call out it's still JKD concepts, correct? Isn't that what Dan Inosanto taught you both? Most consider JKD to be the original MMA. Take the best of every art and what works for you. That is the essence of JKD!

    Brock, like anyone his age, could in theory really focus on striking. He should train in Thailand for at least a year on a diet and getting leaner and learning Muay Thai in that tough environment. Then he should also train in BJJ for another year and up to 5 to get a black belt in BJJ gi and no gi. He should also get with real wrestling champion and get back to wrestling basics. He really has a weak wrestling game, he stands around too much and doesn't move...very big and slow.

  • @schaelakhan
    @schaelakhan 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    JKD is not a style it is a philosophy. Jun Fan is the style so it's not Jun Fan. It is Erik's Jeet Kune Do utilizing boxing, Thai boxing and savate.

    good form is important but whatever the form, a good kick is one that lands, if one of those were to land they would still do damage because they seem to have speed and sting, that kru guy just has his head way too far up his ass. haha
